View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 5720. It is not listed on Acer's website as compatible with Win 7, however many other models with the same specs are. I have been able to find drivers for most of the hardware. The only ones I cannot locate are a Windows 7 x64 driver for both the Alps Touchpad and the Bison Crystal Eye webcam. I am an adventurous one, and have a solid backup, so I am going to try it anyway. I was just looking for any assistance in locating those two drivers.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using a HP DV3 Pavillion Note Book for last year and a half, which has bluetooth connectivity. It runs on Windows7 Home Premium OS. For the last several months, my note book cannot connect to any other bluetooth device in its vicinity, nor other devices can connect to it. Even in the notification area bluetooth icon no longer appears. It is as if bluetooth software has simply disappeared. HP Wireless assistant shows that bluetooth has been disabled. The wireless assistant screen does not show any button to enable it. What could be the problem?
View 2 Replies View Relatedin past I did have this problem with Windows 7, and now that I came back (was on XP Sp3), they annoying me again.I have a DELL Vostro 1510. Sometimes, after I turn on the computer and it loads my desktop, the keyboard doesn't work. The weird thing is that the media keys are working fine all the time, however all the letters, caps lock, num lock, F1-F12... well, every single key simply doesn't respond. So I go and check it on the "device manager", and it shows I have a keyboard installed. I scan for hardware changes... and no changes detected... The driver is there, the hardware is perfect (I never had these issues while on XP, and I was with 7 on past, did have these problems, then did migrate to XP, and now back to 7 and having it again).
I know how to solve it... I simply need to go to the device manager, click on uninstall and then "scan hardware for changes" and it comes back to life. If that doesn't work, just need to reboot and Windows 7 install the driver for me (after uninstalling it, of course). The annoying thing is that I don't want to do those steps... I want it to keep always working... And this is just not normal, so for sure there is some cause.DELL doesn't offer drivers for notebook keyboard on their website, at least not for my model, because it's simply a default one... So the default driver should handle it.
My wife's Samsung notepad keyboard and touchpad have stopped working. The odd thing is that the keyboard does work at startup - I can press F4, arrows, Enter, etc to start up in safe mode, but still the keyboard and touchpad do not work as soon as we get to the login screen. I have tried system restore, unplugging the cord and battery. At the moment I can get it to work using a USB mouse and the on-screen keyboard
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that after turning on the power for the very first time, it will not recognize my keyboard. I have several different keyboards and I tried them all- including the Acer keyboard that came with the PC.I think my mistake was that before turning on the power, I had plugged in both an HDMI connection to my TV as well as a DVI connection to an Acer 23" monitor. Then when I powered up the PC, it defaulted to the HDMI output but I didn't realize that and was expecting it to displa on the monitor. It took me a while to figure out that it defaulted to the HDMI connection. I started out by looking at my monitor and couldn't figure out why there was no activity on the monitor. But once I switched the TV input to "HDMI 1", I saw the output was displayed on my TV.Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to recognize any keyboard now although it does make a "clicking" sound when I press keys on the keyboard. I tried to press WIN+P to change the HDMI output to show the same output on both the TV and the monitor but it seems to default to "side by side" and the only thing that I can think to do now is to pull out the power cord plug and try to re-boot with just the monitor connected and without the HDMI connection. When I hit the "power off" button, it has no effect. Should I pull out the power cord from the outlet? Or is there some other way to get it to reboot?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis morning I was using my mum's notebook when several keys stopped working (O, W, R, T, U, ', C, V & BACKSPACE).Although some keys work, they also jam when not being pressed (D & N). I have to hit another key to stop it and when I've not clicked a text box it makes the mouse freeze. I tried restarting and a Windows Diagnostic Memory Test was presented as an option upon start-up which I did, nothing was detected. Device manager shows the driver is working.I am currently using On-Screen Keyboard.

What's the best way to restart the keyboard?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Acer Aspire 5820tz laptop will not work. The keyboard does not respond. View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night my HP laptop was working just fine with zero issues. Today I turned it on and my keyboard didn't work and also saying that no battery was detected. Now if I turn it on with a power cord attached I can remove the power cord and the laptop stays turned on, I can also shut the lid and the laptop will stay powered on. However if I use the shut down function or turn it off by the power switch it will not power back up without the power cord attached. The keyboard just refuses to work none of the keys work. No fn key no alt key no ctrl key nothing. I can't turn wireless on or off using the F key, however the on-screen keyboard works fine, and so does a keyboard that is plugged in through usb.I have checked the drivers which says it is working properly, I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, which didn't fix it.I Googled this problem and read that a bios update might fix this, I updated it and nothing as well as doing the usual virus and malware scans with the likes of malwarebytes and MSE.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically i installed some updates for nvidia to help my devices catch up with my win 7 pro install. Now however i have the issue that my ps/2 keyboard and touch pad mouse has stopped working and i'm having to use USB to actually use my laptop. Has anyone else found a solution to this at all. I have checked device manager and it say code 10 for the mouse not working and code 19 for the keyboard not working.
For background info i have a Dell Studio XPS running 64 bit Win 7 pro.
i have read about similar problems on here but none of the solutions worked for me. the keyboard seems to work just fine until the "starting windows" screen appears then absolutely nothing. i've tried reinstalling the alps pointing device drivers, i uninstalled then installed the newer version, nothing seems to work. the computer was working just fine until i came home from work and turned it on. this same problem happend about 2 months ago and it magically fixed it self, i just never turned the computer off again. i have 2 identical sony vaio VPC-EB33FM/BJ models, and have compared all the drivers and settings, they are the exact same (except the newer version of Alps on the broken one). i ran one of those "scan for new drivers" programs that ask for money to update drivers that it says are old and it said that the HID keyboard device driver is way out of date along with several others, but once again they are the same as the ones on the computer i am using now and this one works like a champ
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've come across an interesting problem recently which I have tried to solve to no avail. I installed Windows 8 Developer Preview on a separate hard drive to my base Windows 7 install, and had an issue that arose where the OS suddenly decided that the drivers the keyboard was using were invalid. This is not the (current) problem, however it is important to mention. Now, to fix the Win 8 driver problem I went to the device manager, uninstalled the drivers, and then unplugged/plugged the keyboard back in. Since that rather bodged fix, the keyboard suddenly stopped working in Windows 7. It shows up in device manager as working, and I can set macros in the associated Razer software, although it does not perform its most basic function of typing. I have tried a similar tactic to that which I employed while fixing the problem with Windows 8, although my attempts have been fruitless. The keyboard in question is a Razer Lycosa, and the OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit.
