I would love it, if I could assign a button to my keyboard that would take the currently highlighted window, and move to it screen 1, 2 or 3 in it's exact current size and position..
Anyone know if that is possible? I know you can move them 1 screen at a time, but I'd like to be able to just hit a single key or shortcut.
I can't really explain it, cause my keyword lead me to Alt+Space+M.
It's different because the way it works just different. In Ubuntu, You can Hold down ALT Button and drag a window whenever you want to go. (This kind of ability I want to talk about)
I encountered some installer like AutoCAD, even with full resolution of my laptop (1920x1080) The window still show 90% of it, which is bad because the important button are on the bottom like [Next] [Cancel] [Install] [Finish], etc. I tried to drag it to the top, but Windows 7 won't let me do that. Also, the installation screen doesn't have ability to Maximize.

In windows XP, I used to be able use "ALT + E + S" to programmatically grab the contents of a command window. This does not work in Windows 7. When you right click on the title, the "Edit" selection no longer has the "E" underlined, indicating the shortcut key to use.
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn these back on?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a microsoft keyboard with multimedia keys. I have assigned one of the multimedia keys to the Instant Viewer feature from Intellitype Pro. I like this feature and think it would be more useful to put it on the mouse button but I have searched and cannot find any .exe for the Instant Viewer to create a program shortcut. I was thinking I could get around this by creating a shortcut to the multimedia key instead and then assigning that shortcut to the mouse. This is not the same as pressing Alt + Tab or Ctrl + Alt + Tab. The Intellitype Instant viewer covers the whole screen when activated while Alt + Tab just gives you a thin horizontal strip in the middle.

Now the little problem: i'm searching for a keyboard shortcut to switch through windows with aero peek (x-ray vision) just like i do with flip3d, is that possible?
The only thing i found near to what i'm searching is the shortcut to switch through active elements that is like moving the mouse over icons of pinned-apps, that is not the same.
Aero peek has many useful features but, compared to my standard work, it takes me too long to move mouse on an icon, wait for preview to show, than move again mouse on previews of different windows of the same app.
I'm trying to find out if there is a keyboard shortcut to move focus to the Address toolbar when it is added to the taskbar. (Again, this is the address bar in the taskbar, not the address bar in an explorer or browser window for which ALT+D is the shortcut.) Recently my PC is getting stuck for no reason. While browsing, watching a movie, when I leave it idle for a while its getting stuck. Screen is as it was and I cannot move the cursor, keyboard isn't working. Then I restart it manually and go to the option "start windows normally" or something. This happened previously and I thought it has smthin to do with my HDD, but I checked it n re installed win7 64bit. It was working normally for about 3 months and now it started again.
I enabled PC Tablet Support in the windows features section of windows 7, but i still can't get windows to pop up that on screen keyboard icon that usually displays next to any type of data input fields.My windows is NOT installed on a tablet pc, but i recently connected a touch screen to my desktop and am hoping to get the same sort of functionality like my tablet edition of xp had.

I hate finding programs by a text search because I can rarely remember what to search for or worse yet that it requires a search. My first instinct is to browse around in the related control panel applets - which of course in this case fails big time. The system came with a discontinued mouse/keyboard business set. The keyboard had a "sleep" key. Alas, this keyboard was not liquid-proof and a cup of tea ended its brief career as my favorite keyboard. The new MS keyboards seem to have every key EXCEPT the "sleep" key.

I am running into an issue where I can open a window/program with my mouse however once the window is open I cannot click inside of it. The window becomes inactive. I also have noticed I cannot right click on my desktop to bring up the properties. I can right click on the window in the task bar to close it but not in the window. Since this is happening I am limited to command prompt. I ran sfc /scannow with no errors. I tried with 3 different mice. I booted the computer into safe mode with command prompt and brought up the device manager to show devices not in use, and when the device manager window opened I could click inside it! since I could use the window I uninstalled all mouse drivers, and reinstalled my microsoft wireless usb mouse driver.. while in this safe mode I changed my mouse properties to system default as I read somewhere that can reset things. Next I booted the computer in safe mode (without command prompt) and still the same thing. I was trying to do a restore point as well however my Kaspersky antivirus 2012 is preventing that as i cannot find a way to kill the program through command prompt.

But I would prefer to have just 'SED'. Any way to do this automatically?

Win 7 Freecell "sticks" The cards don't move when you try to move them. If you keep trying you get the message "freecell is not responding" or "problem with freecell executable". Could this have anything to do with a recent Norton upgrade? I have tried turning windows games on and off and it doesn't help. If so, where can I get a clean reinstall?
