I have an external LCD monitor connected to my notebook via HDMI. I’d like to be able to turn off the laptop screen or make it go black or run a screensaver ONLY on it, while I’m working/watching a film on my external display. Going into my notebooks settings and toggling from 2 displays to 1, works but is not a process I want to do as frequently as I’m having to do now.
Basically I’d like to be able to turn on and off (or blackout the screen or run screensaver) my notebooks display, as quickly as possible, while not effecting whatever is going on, on the external display.

Is there any way I can force my wallpapers defined in my theme to appear at the login screen and when I lock my computer (Window key + L)? Also note that the wallpapers should cycle through their normal sequence and time at the login screen.

I have a few problems, so I'll do a nice list rather than splatter gunning it onto a post.
1) If I have a window (singular) open with 7 icons in it, how can I move them about? I don't want to arrage by type, auto arrange, sort or any variation there of. I just want to move some icons about in a window, cut the ones I want and leave the rest as is. Any way to do that? I really can't figure it out.
2) Is there a WMP12 to 11 downgrade prog that works on 64bit yet?
3) In XP, if I wanted to set a wallpaper across two screen then I'd make it the size I want (photoshop) then tile it so it would be across the two. That doesn't seem to work now. So is there some trick?
4) Oh, my icons are going a bit iffy. Icons for MP3's and most things that play via WMP12 have gone. Any idea as for a fix?

I tried out Windows 8 for a while. Unfortunately, many of the video games I play crashed a lot, and well, to make a short story short, I have reinstalled Windows 7. One of the features I really liked in Windows 8 is that with a dual monitor set up, my desktop backgrounds not only rotated, but were not synchronized like in Windows 7. For instance, I could have a Battlefield 3 background on one, and a Company of Heroes background on the other... while on Windows 7, if I have Battlefield 3 on one, it will be the same thing on the other display. I can't seem to work out an option to have different "unsynchronized" desktops rotating..

You can also download more themes from the Microsoft theme gallery, or various places on the internet. I recently found a REALLY cool looking theme, and installed it. I was in love with it. After having that theme, I wanted a new start button to go with it. I found, and installed, a new start button. Then I installed a cool cursor. Finally, my wants didn't end. I wanted to get a new icon pack that looked good with the theme. I found a decent, and popular, one. I downloaded it. It came with an installer, so I used it. After installing, it asks me to "re-boot" my computer. I did it, and when I turned it back on my computer was messed up with some "shell32.dll" error. It took me a couple of hours to fix it. Many people recommended a system restore, or to use the "sfc /scannow" command. I did those two things, but they didn't work. I try to restore the system, but ALL my restore points were gone. I tried to do the "sfc /scannow" command, but apparently I didn't have permission. I'm the only user on this computer. How do I not have permission to do something? I ended up fixing it by doing some kind of system repair on start up. Although, now my computer is really slow, and I can't use custom themes for windows 7 anymore! I had a really cool one installed, but now when I turn it on, it just shows up as a dark version of the classic theme. I tried re-downloading, and re-installing it, twice. It still didn't work. It seems like ANY custom theme I get shows up as the theme that messed up my computer. I uninstalled that, but it seems like it's still here. Is there any way I can repair it, and get my custom themes back?

Everytime I do this, Right after I take ownership and grant permission to ExplorerFrame, or any of the other files, I cant click on any of the other "edit" options to take ownership of any of the other needed files.
