View 2 Replies View RelatedI started getting these about 6 months ago and they became especially noticeable while playing SWTOR back then. They seem to occur more often when playing an online game but also occur when browsing the web, see one of my screenshots to get an idea of the frequency.I checked the windows help page url... and I have no idea what they're talking about. I tried the simple fix which was disabling IPv6 (no luck). I dunno what a "spanning tree portfast" setting is on my router and I didn't want to go messing around with the registry for their first fix when I have no idea what I'm doing. The error seems kinda vague which I guess explains the multiple fixes, it has listed different URLs too, teredo is just the most recent, I looked that up when it first showed up and it was indeed something to do with IPv6.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone ever tried to change from XP to Vista, and create a new network connection to an FTP client? the "My Network" menu option has disapeared in both Vista and Win 7. The most logical choice therefore would be to look under Network for a menu option to do this. Nope.... Not there either.
I found out how to do it. It may be easy, but not if you cannot find it. Users should not have to search that hard to find an answer.
To help users, is there any plan to restore a menu option to do that under Networking?
How about putting Networking back under the Start Menu?
i run an SSL site that has function perfectly for over 10 years. Now that clients are using Windows 7 SOME of them cannot log in because their LOCAL domain name is part of the USERNAME . LOCALDOMANUSERNAME . they cannot change it .they cannot use the User another account setting after using it 1 time.I have had them remove the autocomplete option under tools, content, ssl, username/password.i have had them clear the SSL state. It seems to only happen with Windows 7 pro when they have their own domain set up at their office.
View 9 Replies View Relatedmonths ago before changing a router I had an AP, and a 2nd router set as a Client Bridge, so pc's on one could detect pc's on the other. Can't recreate that for some reason [another long thread] but what I did get up and running is 2nd router in Client [wireless client] mode, so the 2nd router is pulling its internet access from the AP, but the addressing on the 2nd router is different [DHCP is enabled, and the router's ip is different: 192.168.2.1, whereas the AP is .1.1 and doles out its devices as .1.110 & up ... which is strange]
So, I have a 7 pc behind the 2nd router [the client router] which is addressed as 192.168.2.122
how do I directly access that PC from one that is wirelessly connected to the AP [i.e. an address of 192.168.1.117] ??what's the syntax?
When I try to start DNS Client via Service.msc, I have to first do Right click > Properties > Startup type: Automatic > Apply > Start > When I click Apply, I get a message saying Access Denied. I *am* the Administrator. The problem is not exclusively DNS Client service: there are other services that do that.
