I have been trying to mount a NFS shared to my Windows 7, but every time I try: mount \serverfolder *It says: Network path not found (error 53) I check the server and folder names and they are fine, so do you have an idea what can be causing this problem?

Two Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit computers on the same network, the desktop has a printer shared that the laptop would like to access. The oddness began after I managed to get the laptop to access the desktop via Start > Run > \desktop, successfully connected up the printer via filesharing and tested it, but every time I restart the laptop it decides that it can't find the desktop any more.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have some ISOs where whenever I mount them and select "Play DVD" in the autoplay menu, an Error box comes up with the message "E:/ Application not found" This also happens if I doubleclick on the DVD or right-click and select play.
However, If I open Windows Media Player and access the DVD though it, the movie plays fine.
I don't now what I did to cause this, maybe when I took out my video card (but I don't know if the problem popped up at the same time). It use to work perfectly fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to install Windows 7 (to a different hard drive/partition) by mounting the iso, but then not have it install a boot loader? Obviously you'd have to be using a pre-existing OS to be mounting the iso file, but I can't seem to think of a way for it to not install a boot loader.
I know it's possible to install and then afterwards remove all the boot loader stuff, but it's just a hassle to boot into the DVDs and do all the rebuildbcd or fixmbr stuff.
Also I am aware I could just burn the iso to DVD and install it from that in order to not get a bootloader, but I'd like to know if it's at all possible via mounting the iso.
I'm running Daemon Tools Lite, and have a conceptual problem. If I create a virtual disk, and then mount an .iso image of an OS on it, and then click on setup.exe to install the virtual OS, Windows 7 triggers a UAC warning.I don't understand why anything happening on the virtual disk would be subject to the host Windows 7's settings. It makes me fear that I'm not actually virtual, though the drive path certainly looked virtual.

They seem to occur more often when playing an online game but also occur when browsing the web, see one of my screenshots to get an idea of the frequency.I checked the windows help page url... and I have no idea what they're talking about. I tried the simple fix which was disabling IPv6 (no luck). I dunno what a "spanning tree portfast" setting is on my router and I didn't want to go messing around with the registry for their first fix when I have no idea what I'm doing.The error seems kinda vague which I guess explains the multiple fixes, it has listed different URLs too, teredo is just the most recent, I looked that up when it first showed up and it was indeed something to do with IPv6.
