He installed PES (pro evolution soccer) in his com and it prompt him that his graphic card did not meet the requirement. He have at nvidia 525m GPU with 2gb vram it is impossible his laptop doesnt meet the requirement. So i guess is the sandybridge integrated graphic that is causing this. how to change to GPU? Note: His graphic card comes with optimus technology.

Since then i've been trying to get it to work properly again.I can't play any of the games I used to play before I sent it in to get repaired (for example, Battlefield 3). I can start dota2 but it looks pretty messed up. My computer shows me that I have an nvidia geforce 7025 nforce 630a graphic card.Although it says in the computer description that it SHOULD have a AMD HD 6870 1GB GDDR 5. My screen isn't plugged in the graphic card, since it doesn't recieve anything from there. It is plugged directly to the motherboard.So, from what I understand the nvidia card is the integrated graphic card or am I totally wrong?Anyway, the device manager can only find the nvidia card and I cannot run any game smoothly on this computer.Before I realized this possibility I've tried to download newer drivers for the nvidia card, but it didn't help.

Since I reinstalled the computer, I no longer have to option to chose what graphic card I want to use. Before this reinstallation I could just right click on the desktop and there was a option that said Switch Graphical units, but now there is nothing like that. And I have the latest drivers for both graphic cards and latest Catalyst Control Center and Direct X installed. And in device manager all drivers are installed correctly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I switch user accounts the computer will start the switch and then lock up with a display message that says no signal on the monitor. It happens if the computer has been running for hours or only a couple of minutes. I have to shut the PC off and leave it off for 20-30 minutes. I can then restart and enter any user account. But if I try to switch user or logoff and pick a different user the whole cycle begins anew.

Soon as I touch any browser icon the rest of computer stops responding as well. It's only me on computer. Have virgin media security/ spyware/ virus protection. Tried CCleaner. After I switch user everything is fine.Additional info; On 16th October had great difficulty getting my emails from Yahoo. Sometimes sign-in box appeared without my security signature and different style of writing for browser remembered log-on details.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got a newish HP notebook and I frequently use skype for voice and video chatting with friends and family; however, It recently has stopped working for no apparent reason. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I did notice that the webcam stopped working after I updated skype recently. The microphone also now works intermittently.. If I initiate a call with skype, my microphone will not work, but if I make a test call to the echo test service it works, and then works subsequently on my call afterwards. If I go to initiate any type of video exchange, a picture of youcam displays as my webcam image asking to start my webcam as seen here in this picture from my skype webcam settings This also shows when trying to use my webcam on chatroulette, omegle, etc.Here, when I start the youcam program itself I get this error message If I go to tools and settings in the youcam program (which I can only access when I start the program via skype?) I click the dropdown menu to select my webcam device but no options show.
Here is a picture of my device manager, which suddenly displays no evidence of the hardware, even after scanning for hardware changes. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with someone from HP support and got no where. They tried to remote connect to my computer using some sort of HP support software instead of windows remote connect. They could never connect and told me I need to backup everything on my computer and format it!? Does this sound normal? I said never mind and hung up, I figure there has to be an easier way to deal with this. Perhaps if I cannot find a solution here I will take that step but figured I would try here first.

My integrated camera on my lenovo laptop stopped working last night. It doesn't do anything when I try to connect to it on Skype etc.it just has a grey screen. I tried reinstalling the drivers but that didn't work and now I don't know what to do.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy HP ProBook 4730s contains switchable graphics. One of which, is an ATI Radeon HD 7470M, and the other is a generic Intel HD Family. Now, I can assure you that when I switch between cards, they switch properly, and are in the correct order. I have checked with many different methods. Now to the actual issue. In low and medium end games, my Intel out preforms my ATI my miles. For example, in Trackmania United Forever, on my ATI, medium settings, 720p, no AA = 20fps. Intel, max settings, 900p (native res), 4x AA = 60fps.However, if I play Mirror's Edge, these results are inverted, thus proving that the ATI is more powerful.
What I can only conclude is that the ATI is attempting to conserve power by limiting it's performance in low end games. Problem is, I have configured it for max performance in every setting I can find. I just don't get it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am not able to find suitable driver for display Adapter Intel 915 GML/Mobile Express for Windows 7. The ones that I see available are for Windows XP. I tried to installed the ones available and my display went black,so i had to start in VGA safe mode to get back the display. Now my default display is VGA since I am not able to find the drivers for my adapter. I also used the original Toshiba M45 recovery cd(where drivers are) and it tells me , wrong operating system since my recovery cd is for Windows Xp instead of Windows 7.

I like Windows 7. It is fast even with older machines.
Hope someone can fix the soundMAX issue. Unfortunately, HP does not have a vista driver or so because the DV 4305US was designed for XP.

Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on". It worked when i first got my computer for a few months, then it stopped.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 on an Emachines t2862, which has an Intel Integrated Chipset (845g, "Itel Extreme Graphic", specifically).
I've tried installing the XP drivers using the installation as well as the tutorial floating around the forums for installing XP graphic drivers. Both caused Windows to crash shortly after booting. I had plenty of time to open a few programs, but about 45 seconds after booting, Windows simply freezes (mouse included).
I had to boot into safemode and roll the driver back to the standard VGA driver to fix it.
Does anybody have any tips?
Does anyone happen to know where I can locate the driver for a Compaq NX 6110 Laptop compatible with Windows 7? The XP Driver is absolutely terrible and won't allow to change resolution. It uses an Intel 915GM Graphics Controller.
