Does anyone happen to know where I can locate the driver for a Compaq NX 6110 Laptop compatible with Windows 7? The XP Driver is absolutely terrible and won't allow to change resolution. It uses an Intel 915GM Graphics Controller.

I am not able to find suitable driver for display Adapter Intel 915 GML/Mobile Express for Windows 7. The ones that I see available are for Windows XP. I tried to installed the ones available and my display went black,so i had to start in VGA safe mode to get back the display. Now my default display is VGA since I am not able to find the drivers for my adapter. I also used the original Toshiba M45 recovery cd(where drivers are) and it tells me , wrong operating system since my recovery cd is for Windows Xp instead of Windows 7.
I am running a first gen Alienware M11x netbook: Processor: SU7300 Ram: 4 GB Graphics: integrated and GT 335m OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
Last night, for the first time since I performed a driver update for the graphics card, I switched to integrated graphics to watch a video (mp4) while I had it unplugged. Upon running the video I got the BSOD with the information below:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 4105
Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C0000005 BCP2: FFFFF8800410EDBC BCP3: FFFFF88008CD2CF0 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1

I tried it again to make sure it would still happen (it did, not a great idea) and tried with the discrete card active which let it run. I also noticed the laptop having some minor issues in other places as well.
I have recently purchased Samsung RF511 notebook and I have been trying to run HD video files(mkv) and they do run but it is very laggy and stuttering occurs very often. So I looked a bit into this matter and what I have found is that the VLC player that I am using to play the video files runs of the onboard graphics card and not the nvidia 540M card that is also installed in this notebook.
Today i installed Windows 7 Ultimate and all worked good with drivers exept sound, have old drivers on CD but this OS doesnt support that old drivers...checked this thread (have same problem) soundmax integrated driver and tryed to install that and same still problem
Motherboard is : Asus P4P800S-X series, drivers should be from soundmax
Have an older machine with an Intel Integrated 810e chipset. I realize this is an older model, but was wondering if there's any kind of fix to run Windows 7 Home Premium on it?
This appears to be working but there is no sound. I get the message "failed to play test tone" when I click test in playback devices. Windows update automatically downloads updates for this and then tells me that it is working when it isn't. I have even tried to use generic drivers (like realteks) to see if that would work. I've tried compatibility mode with no luck as well.
