I have a little program that I want to load and run at the start up of my Rig, how do I do this? Is there some folder I have to put it in ? If so which one and where is it ? I have looked for a start up folder but can't see one any place.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed Weathrbug Plus and for some odd reason recently when I run it Windows runs the installation for the program. When I run the prograsm I get the typical "Preparing to install..." abnd then tyhe 'Configuring Weatherbug. I've been in contact with Weatherbug Support all day and we can't seem to find an answer.I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials.This is a clean install of Windows 7. I haven't used any other real-time security software other than MSE.I disabled MSE and tried it and got the same results.

Log files show below that 4 things failed to load. Tuesday couldn't boot up PC again.. tried to restart like 4-5 times.. Finally comes up and in the logs there's numerous things that failed to load. Running a sfc /scannow right now.

I realized some of these are not Windows 7 related but most are. While the computer "works", I do experience frequent reboots and freezes. Perhaps some of these driver loading failures are part of the cause of my issues.

Ignorant me just double clicks on their generic icon and a brief flash of the command-line interface screen and nothing more. Can someone point me to some information on the use of this type of program?I'm not a complete novice on the use of the command prompt screen, as I use it for sfc /scannow, ipconfig, pinging to find my latency, etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI started installing Veoh Web Player but decided to abort the installation. Now, every time I boot up, I get a message asking: A previous software installation was not completed. Would you like to continue installing Veoh?
I've tried everything I can think of. Even installed Veoh. But kept getting the message, even after Veoh was installed. Then I removed Veoh using uninstall in Control Panel and I still get the message every time I start up.
I installed a program to my main user account which is an administrator account. When I click on the program to open, the mouse pointer changes like the program is going to load and then it stops. I logged into my second user account which is also an administrative account and the program opens without any problems.

How do I disable this feature? I don't want to see the little arrows, all I do is open the programs, the arrows sometimes get in the way and annoy me. I assume it's pretty easy to change, I think I did it on this (Build 7000) computer, but I just setup a Vlited RC1 and can't figure out how to get rid of the arrows it added on the right of the programs on the start menu.
I don't like the way Windows 7 show me the "startup menu"... what I mean is I don't want to see the few software or document i've open recently when I press the "Windows icon" (aka Start).
I need to press "Show all programs" to see all my folder. Even if I go in the config of the toolbar, and I choose 0 to see the last program (by default is 10), it's only show a big white startup menu, but i need again to click (or leave my mouse for few second) the "show all program".
I just want to know of there is a way to see directly the "program" folder when I click the windows logo.
I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. I come from Window XP. I am used to see my long list of programs all spread out so I can see what I have w/o scrolling.

I read some posts stating to "unhide" all the folders in windows explorer to help the situation. That seemed to restore alot of programs, but I still can't launch certain programs off the Start Menu nor can I see their shortcut in Windows Explorer. I'm able to open files using those programs from Windows explorer, I just cant open the program itself from the Start Menu. The folders of those programs on the Start Menu say "empty" and no program is displayed.

This seemed to start soon after using a disk cleaner---but I've used it many times before with no problems. I've downloaded Classic Shell so the menu looks like XP again, but I noticed that when I look at 'all programs' some of my programs aren't there. Turns out Windows 7 has two program folders, apparently one is for purely 64-bit programs and the other for ones that still use 32-bit. Does anyone know how I can get both of these folders to show up in the start menu, preferably combined? At the moment, I can only find the 64-bit folder, and can't find the 32-bit folder in the start menu at all.

Now my computer wont go past the starting windows screen and instead goes to a windows box and says," The program can't start because CRYPT32.DLL is missing from your computer. Do I really have to create a shortcut first, then add the parms here in shortcut Properties and finally pin the shortcut? I cannot believe this procedure is the only way.
Under WinXP I could directly right click on an icon on QuickLaunchBar and add the parms without problems.
