Sep 15, 2011I just built my first HTPC and for the life of me I cannot figure out why this is happening. Windows works just fine, I can do anything, I can hook up my TV/Monitor via onboard DVI, VGA, or HDMI running in 1080p and everything appears to be fine. When I right click and view graphics properties the screen flashes black and tells me GfxUI has stopped working. Also I can watch video online from some sources (MegaVideo) but others it just brings my system to a halt and tells me GfxUI stopped working. I have the latest Intel drivers (8.15.10.2509), Intel Management Engine Interface (6.0.0.1179), and ING interface (9.2.0.1030). In addition, I've also tried numerous past drivers as well. I've also gone through and disabled/enabled .NET 3.5.1, updated .NET 4, got the Visual C++ Runtime, etc. I've done everything the other forums suggest to no avail.

Mar 3, 2012when i turn on my acer (7741z-5731 laptop) i get a message stating gfx-iu has stopped working. i looked at other forums and they suggest installing drivers from intel. i downloaded driver from intel and it says not for this computer. i went acer web site and the only driver i saw regarding graphics is marked intel vga driver. my laptop says intel HD graphics. i'm not sure if this is the correct driver. if not how do i fix this error without purchasing one of those auto driver updater programs.

One computer is setup as a server with specific software on it, and another or more computers are setup as workstations.When attempting to connect to a workstation computer in the network I receive the error message:Network Error Windows cannot access \ComputerName Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose. Error Code: 0x80070035 The Network path was not found Here are some details:I'm trying to connect to a computer running Windows XP SP3 from a different computer running Windows 7 Pro Sp1 (both machines are 32-bit). Share folders are setup correctly giving everyone and administrators full access. I'm trying to connect from an administrative account created with the same name and password on both computers. Both computers have the same subnet and similar IPs (IE, one IP is 192.168.1.1 and the other is 192.168.1.2). Both computers are on the same workgroup name. Enable TCP/IP is setup on the network adapter (versus being "Default"). TCP/IPv6 is disabled Windows Firewall is disabled on the WinXP computer, and turned off on the Windows 7 computer. Computer Browser, Server, SSDP Discovery, and TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper services are all set to Automatic startup and started. Both computers have other software anti-virus/firewall that have been disabled (for testing purposes). I can browse the shared folder on the Windows 7 computer from the WinXP computer without problem, and don't get the above error on WinXP. Other interesting facts are that I can see the WinXP computer when opening the Network browser on the Windows 7 computer, but I can't see the Windows 7 computer in the Network Places browser on the WinXP computer. Also, I can edit the HOSTS with the computer names/IPs to stop the above error message, but it's really only a bandaid to this problem.I have other services that broadcast from the Windows 7 computer via the network adapters based on the LANA number (which I have correctly setup). These broadcast information and let software on the WinXP computer work correctly. These broadcasts are not getting through as if the LANA number was setup incorrectly, even with the HOSTS file edited.
I would like to find a solution without having to edit the HOSTS file. I've been reading forum post after forum post (google search). What's frustrating is this is not the only environment I have something like this setup (Windows 7/WinXP mix), but this network is the only one I'm having issues with. I've Looked over every concievable network setting between two identical mixed OS locations and found nothing different. Yet the problem persists. The Windows 7 computer was just upgraded to Windows 7 from WinXP Also. The image used to do the upgrade is the same used at another location I compared this computer to.
Windows 7 Update Error...error 80246008?
Dec 15, 2012seeing as it had infected my services.exe, part of the fix was to get a new copy of it, or something around those lines; this will come in to play later, I think. Anyway, its been a LONG time, my last update whenever I try running windows update, it runs for a bit and tries to receive the updates, but then stops and displays a message saying it failed to update, and gives me the error code of 80246008. I've looked this up, and I see that it possibly has something to do with the background intelligent transfer service.

Jun 28, 2011i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490

Dec 1, 2011Recently whenever I've used an .exe installer I'll get an error as soon as I click start after choosing the directory, in the picture example I include below, it's of SA-MP, but it happens with any installer I try and use. Installers have worked previously, it's only recently it's stopped working.The error is;Error opening files for writing?
What I've tried;
-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Windows 7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).
Brief Info:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
