Sep 26, 2011How do I change the fonts when I bring up word? So when I bring it up I want it to be in a centain fonts, color, type and so on so I don't have to change it every time I use it?

Certain Fonts Do Not Appear On Word
Nov 13, 2011I am from Sri Lanka, and hence I use Sinhala and Tamil fonts from time to time. I have discovered that certain fonts appear fully on the Fonts Panel in the CP. However, other do not (that is, those others appear faded on the CP Fonts panel). WHen I change my font type to a Sinhala font that appeared fully on the panel, it types well on MS Word. But when I try to type in a Sinhala font that appear faded in the CP Fonts Panel, it types in English. how this can be, and what steps I can use to remedy it? to prevent it?

The most annoying feature of Word 2010 is the so-called "Ribbon". It shows every font installed in Word and we don't want to see any of them (my blind colleague cannot see them anyway) - what is more, it takes up a lot of space. Is there a way of removing all those fonts from the Ribbon?

Oct 15, 2011I use tags to keep things organized. I can edit and update the tags on Word 2003 files just fine. But when I try to edit and save them on the newer files I get the following error:I've checked ownership and permissions, they both appear to be set properly, and that gives a different error anyway.I've also noticed that the older Word 2003 files allow for a thumbnail icon of the document, but this doesn't work for 2007 even if the thumbnail box is checked. For instance let's say I've got two Word files open side by side. If I go to a maximized Google window to look something up now I have to click on both word files separately. After a while this gets to be a bit of annoyance. I'd like to know how to click on the Word tab and bring both word windows back to the size they were before another window was on top.

Dec 8, 2009This is the second time I've gotten this bug, and it seems to occur roughly two weeks after a fresh install.
Long story short, I pin all of my favorite applications to the taskbar and when I click on a running program, I expect it to bring focus to that program (bring it to the front). Instead, it flashes yellow and the window that I want stays behind every other window. The only program that does not do this is Digsby for whatever reason.
Basically, the only way to see an existing window is to minimize all of the windows in front of it and only clicking on the window itself will give it focus. That's partly a lie, because I've discovered that a series of clicks on the taskbar icon will do it, namely: right click, left click, right click, left click. I don't want to have to do four clicks when one normally works.
I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit acquired through the MSDN program for students (Academic Alliance or something). I do know that I never had these issues in the beta with Ultimate edition.
