How To Change Icons Of Some Programs
Sep 22, 2011The programs I cannot change are skype, my documents, my pictures, my downloads and my music. I am also using windows 7 home 64 bit. I just need to know how to fix Skype now.

Large Icons Under All Programs
Jan 2, 2010Is it possible have large icons under "All Programs" in Windows 7?
I have tried the "Use large icons" under Customize start menu options. Doesn't help!
Is there any other way?
Icons For Programs Are Not Showing
Jul 10, 2012Ok so I have been having issues with my icons for programs in my documents and on desktop resetting back to that little white piece of paper with boxes on it. Im on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Just wanted to know if there was a fix. (mostly happening with .exe/shortcuts)

Ie. all .DOC files lost their Word icon even though they are still associated with Word, PaintShopPro Startmenu shortcut reverted to the same default icon as .doc files. What is going on?
Programs Have No Icons On Taskbar
Jul 29, 2012Used the universal theme patcher, to use themes from Deviantart etc. Got it working fine but some of my programs have no icons o_O, Ventrilo has none, GPU-Z, Battlefield 3, etc. They all show up with that icon that windows uses when it doesnt have one, Any way I can fix this?

Feb 17, 2011ive recently re-installed windows 7 64-bit on our laptop and since i have 2 programs I installed (Dreamweaver CS5 and Foobar2000) have not had an image/picture for their icons.They just show the default image for exe (a blank sheet of paper with a window inside)why does this happen? ive installed many other apps that have been fine - I fixed Dreamweaver with an app but i forgot what it was--summit to allows to change icons in EXE files.

Dec 8, 2011I installed Google Chrome, AOE 3 and a number of other programs on the Administrators account. After reading that its not secure and is a best practice to create a second account for daily use I did that. I created the 2nd account with Administrative Rights, then reduced permissions to the first. However, I see that very few programs are available on the desktop of the newly created desktop. I want to share Chrome, AOE3 etc. for all users.Any ideas, am I missing something. I shouldn't have to reinstall all to the 2nd desktop right?

So I found a cool theme and icons to go with it. I understand how to change icons and such but I am having trouble with some. (the official Microsoft icons)
Here's my situation.
So I found in the tutorials how to change the icons. I was able to change the libraries icon assuming that when had it on the taskbar, it would change the icon as well.
I was able to change the libraries icon to what I want. I created a library shortcut. then when i pinned it to the taskbar, it changed back to the default, but only on the taskbar
Also, when i try to change the wmplayer.exe and explorer.exe icon through the properties, explorer.exe crashes as soon as I apply.

I have to search for the program to start it and pin it to the taskbar if I want to keep it accessible.I've tried a few registry hacks, security settings and even tried to copy some shortcuts over. Change A Lot Of Icons With A Batch File?
Nov 24, 2012I've got this folder. In this folder are 643 sub-folders. I want to change the icon of all of those folders quickly, because doing it manually would be horrible.
Each folder has to have it's own icon. Not all the same one.
Currently the .ico's are in a folder with all the exact same name as the folders they need to be matched with. (if I sort by name, they'll all be in the exact same order, if that helps anything)
example: Mainfolder/A/ needs to have icon "A.ico"
So I've been kinda searching around and it seems things like this can (or not) be done with a batch file, and the desktop.ini. Or something..

Can some one confirm that if I wanna be able to use my own icons, I just need to run restorator on those dlls and change the icons that Mr.Grim changes? If this is the case, is there a tutorial which lists the icons in those dll's?
