Ok, i've searched for the solution the whole night yesterday but couldn't find it. For some reason My laptop speakers won't output any audio when running windows 7. However when I plug something in like a headphone it works just fine!
View 0 RepliesI've got a Compaq Presario CQ61, Windows 7 SP1 installed, fully patched. I've got no sound from internal speakers and headphone jacks. I've uninstalled drivers and re-installed, I've used DriverMax to find drivers as well, uninstalled and reinstalled. No luck. Thats what's showing in my Device Manager. Volume Control is not muted, and maxed out for volume, and there is movement when clicking on the volume control just no sound.

I want to setup so that I can use Internal microphone in laptop to transmit my voice and hear the incoming call voice using external speakers.I normally keep external speakers connected to laptop for listening to music, but whenever I have to make a call, I have to remove the speaker cables and connect headphone cables in audio jack. So, I am looking up for solution to do make audio/video calls using external speakers and without needing to connect headphones to transmit my voice to caller.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Hp625 running Windows 7 Basic 32 bit - I can play music through my laptops built in speakers without any problems, but when I plug headphones (or external computer speakers) into the headphone jack no sound comes through them (and simultaneously the laptop speakers go mute). My computer is dual boot with ubuntu, and this problem appeared when I upgraded my Ubuntu version - still, I know that the jack works as it is working fine in Ubuntu, and Im sure the problem is fixable within windows!
My computer is using the IDT audio control panel, and according to windows everything us up to date and fine.
My laptop is 5 months old ,it is hpdv6 3079tx. My laptop got i7 processor with win 7 64 bit. Currently I am facing a problem with my laptop. The sound is not coming out from the in built speakers as headphone is working very well. The sound from in built speakers last for just 2 to 3 mint and then goes off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am not getting any audio through my speakers anymore this happened after I unplugged my headphones but it doesn't disable that they are unplugged I open my Realtek HD Audio Manager and it shows that the front jack has headphones in when they indeed aren't. I can plug in my USB headset/mic and get sound through there due to it coming up as its own device so its something to do with my speakers in headphone mode.

I have tried to update/re-install the drivers without any luck. I have also tried system recovery and still no sound. The latest software that I have installed is Adobe Production premium 5.5 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
I have checked the playback settings and the only device showing is Sony-tv 1. I also checked for deactivated and disconnected devices but still only Sony-tv.
I've Dell N5010 laptop with Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit and IDT sound drivers. The issue I'm facing is that: "The speakers would continue playing even though I plug in my headphones." Both of them work simultaneously...

I plugged in headphones and they work fine, i never had a problem in Vista. I have install the latest Realtek 223 codecs and still no joy, I'm in the middle of trying some older versions but does anyone else have any ideas?
I have a Gateway model MD2614U laptop os Windows 7 home 32bit. When I unplug the headphones to use the internal speakers sometimes the laptop will switch over and sometimes it won't. When it won't switch over. I open the volumes control window and I can see the green bar going up and down with the audio source but there is no sound coming out. I have to end up closing down the program that is producing the sound then the switch over will complete and I restart the program. I also have the same problem when I plug the headphones back in, again no sound from the headphones even though I see the green bar moving. Also some programs that send and receive audio over the internet will lock up when I unplug or plug in ether the headphones and or the microphone.

I'm using a laptop with internal wifi but I also have an external wifi dongle as I connect to my neighbours internet (I have permission and the passwords, etc). Both the internal and external used to work fine and both would have internet connection. But something recently has changed and now the internal wifi still works with both network and internet connection, but the external one only has network connection and no internet connection.The reason I use the external one is it gives much better signal strength than the internal one and, as said, both used to work just fine.Now I've tried uninstalling the external drivers and dongle and reinstalling it but no dice. I've tried doing the netsh stuff people have recommended in some of the search pages but no dice. Tried release and renew of IP, but no dice. I've disabled all firewalls but no dice (and I figure the firewalls would stop both connections anyway but I thought I'd try it

My internal speakers are the only ones affected by this problem. When I plug external speakers into my computer they work just fine. The problem doesn't change depending on what type of audio or video I am running. I have run the windows 7 integrated driver updating software and it has said that all of my audio drivers are up to date.

Sound works from my headphones when they are plugged in but not my speakers and drivers are working properly. Now, here is the odd thing... whenever I change the volume for the 'Independant Headphones' from the sound panel, the sound works fine from the speakers with no problem for about 2-3 seconds! The default is currently set to 'Speakers and Headphones'. I have tried unplugging and replugging headphones to make sure the jack switch is reset in both slots, still no luck!

However, they do make sound effect sounds while the computer is booting.I figured it was a software problem, so he just reformatted and installed 7. Same problem. Makes the booting up noises, "Gamers Republic... BOOM", obviously coming from the internal speakers.

I have a Dell XPS M1330 laptop and have recently upgraded to windows 7 professional (32bit) from windows vista. Everything seems to be running smoothly except I can get no sound from the internal laptop speakers. When I plug in external speakers in via the jacks on the front, sound comes through fine, but as soon as I unplug them there is nothing. Headphones also work like this too. Under sounds in device manager, it simply says 'High Definition Audio Device', and I'm not sure if I should be downloading some other drivers?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe problem occured last week while playing some moonbase alpha, my speakers basically cut out while playing however windows believes it is still outputting sound to them, if i plug a jack into either of the speaker or microphone jacks and remove it the problem is instantly fixed and sound continues as normal for up to around 10 minutes when it happens again.I can fix it again for 10 minutes by switching from the playback tab to the recording tab in the sound properties menu, i have tried reinstalling drivers that came with my laptop and drivers from other sources, i have tried drivers that are older than mine, i have also tried using the default driver windows 7 assigns it "intel HD audio" the device is shown as conexant smartaudio HD.I have tried my volumes, my balance and i have played about a little with the sound properties and with the smartaudio application.I have also tried restoring to an earlier point before the problem happened and before i even installed moonbase, windows troubleshooter reports no problems.
