View 1 Replies View RelatedMy optical audio output used to work fine. Now when I set my "Realtek Digital Output" to default, the bars work as they should and the red light passes through the optical fiber cable. But when it reaches my "receiver" (Logitech Z-5500), it says "No Digital Data". It is as if my receiver can not read the data that gets sent through the cable. This issue occurred on my laptop, When I take the same cable and plug it in to my desktop's SPDIF Out, it works as normal, the receiver plays audio. I have tried 3 receivers with the same outcome. I have also tried to update my audio driver.

I have disabled the Digital Output at certain time, and now cannot find a way to enable it again.I've searched in the Control Panel, tried trouble shoot utility from the Control Panel and have got no idea how to enable Digital Output back.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung laptop (Windows 7 x64, Realtek) connected to a TV via HDMI cable (audio over HDMI). Some time back, I had got HDMI Audio option (in Control Panel -> Sound) disabled so that I could use Realtek Digital Output (via headphone jack to Coax on my receiver) and it worked fine. Recently I played with these settings again due to change of receiver. I actually cant recall what started the problem, but Realtek Digital Output has disappeared. I have got 'show disabled/disconnected' option on but that did not help. The analog output (also Realtek) continues to show.I rolled back, uninstalled, re-installed the Realtek HD driver a few times, but nothing has brought the Digital Output option back.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Gateway model MD2614U laptop os Windows 7 home 32bit. When I unplug the headphones to use the internal speakers sometimes the laptop will switch over and sometimes it won't. When it won't switch over. I open the volumes control window and I can see the green bar going up and down with the audio source but there is no sound coming out. I have to end up closing down the program that is producing the sound then the switch over will complete and I restart the program. I also have the same problem when I plug the headphones back in, again no sound from the headphones even though I see the green bar moving. Also some programs that send and receive audio over the internet will lock up when I unplug or plug in ether the headphones and or the microphone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI put together my new machine yesterday and I'm thrilled with it. i2500k, 8gb GSkill, Samsung SSD and it flies. Took me a snap to install and just like a couple of years ago when I set up my old machine I've been at for 24 hours now, most of which have been awake trying to just get some damn sound to my speakers.'ve read hundreds of forum posts and tried everything from flashing the BIOS to various versions of the drivers but the results are always the same. No matter what port I plug my speakers into (a 2.1 system with a single 1/8th to 1/8th cable) Realtek will not recognize my speakers and will not even detect that a new device has been plugged in which is the most frustrating part.As you can see from the images I'm getting output levels no problem whatsoever. And here's a couple of images of my settings: Speakers are fine, they work with my iPod just perfectly. Adding more frustration I connected a USB webcam with built-in microphone and when I make a call I can be heard well.Is there anything else that I should be looking at?To add a little info, I just disconnected the front panel audio connectors from the motherboard and that didn't change a thing either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm at my wits end on a problem here. The sound on my computer is not working because the Realtek driver (or the motherboard, not sure which) is not recognizing my speakers that are plugged in. I get this:
I have tried to re-install any and all drivers that may be affected with no success. Tried restarting, messing with the BIOS, to no avail. What should I do now? This is seriously holding up my work (I'm a music composer).
Step 1 - locate and save file 7507807.exe or search for the "BA735 USB" driver which contains all the Boston Human Interface Device drivers. Run the file and save the files somewhere useful and easy to find on your PC.
Step 2 - go to Device & Printers; right mouse click your PC's icon and choose Device Installation settings. Choose No and Never .... I like to call this turn off the MS knows best switch. Save changes etc.
Step 3 - Install the BA735 USB speakers to the USB port you intend to leave it on.
Step 4 - Windows 7 should now try to load the driver. Because I didn't do in this order not sure of how this works, but make sure Windows 7 goes to the %7507807CABSWIN2KINF folder and you should see the BAUSBHID.inf driver file. Install this one and none other. If all works the HID entry in Device Manager WILL say "Boston Human Interface Device". You may hahve to reboot after this.
Step 4B (how I got it to work) was to Select the first "USB input Device" from the Device manager HID section. Then choose which driver to install as in the steps above. It must be from the WIN2KINF folder.
Step 5 - In the "Sound" option in control panel make sure the Boston USB AUdio Device is set as the Default Device. Have something playing to test it out, I still had speaker connected directly to the sound card and this just swapped the sound from them to the Boston ones. Voila!
A similar process to this will get these same speaker working in XP.
I recently got a new Asus P8Z77 motherboard for my desktop and a new SSD. For awhile everything was working till literally out of nowhere my audio cuts out (I was on the desktop doing nothing when it happened). It detects my mic input and headphones when they're not plugged in, and when they do plug in the computer spazzes out and constantly disconnects then connects the microphone on windows. The speakers are flat out always detected regardless of being plugged in. My HDMI audio however works fine and I've gotten to get sound out of my monitor. Since then I have formatted completely and uninstalled/reinstalled all audio drivers from the realtek official site however the issue is still the same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just switched motherboards from a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 to a Biostar TZ77XE3. With the Gigabyte board, I could plug in both my sets of speakers, having 4 outputting sound at the same time. Now, however, I have my microphone plugged into the pink hole, and my primary speakers plugged into the green hole. However, I've tried plugging in my second set of speakers to every audio plug on the board, and it still seems like it doesn't want to output sound. In the Realtek HD Audio Manager, only the first set of speakers is recognized as being plugged in the analog, but not the second.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Logitech x-530 system that I'm trying set up to my HP Compaq dx2400 Microtower computer. I've plugged in the three connectors to the pins - red in red, pink in pink and blue in black - just like I did on my other computer. However, it only plays sound from the front two speakers.
I make matters worse, I have NO Realtek Audio Manager, and if I edit my speaker settings from the control panel, then I ONLY have the option to choose 2.1 sound - no 5.1.
I just recieved a computer that I purchased yesterday and everything was working fine on it until I went to go plug in headphones. I plugged them in using the front jack and I got this whining hissing sound. I tried using the back jack and the sound went away. Another problem i'm having is regardless of what jack i'm using is that whenever I plug the headphones my speakers don't turn off and sound goes though them instead of the headphones unless I set the headphones as the default device.

I got a headset for my birthday and it is a sennheiser so it is pretty good quality so I want to get the most out of it. I currently have realtek installed on my pc as it came with it and when I plug in the green plug into the green jack I select headphones and pink into pink and select mic. Then when I open windows sound card manager it is showing my headphones as a speaker. Am i doing this right? I tried plugging the green plug into green and selecting line out aswel but there was no sound. Can you guys give me any suggestions of what i should be doing to get prime settings for this headset (even if it is off onboard sound?) I have provided a screenshot aswel as audio on pcs for some reason confuses the hell out of me especially realtek.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy on-board Realtek front panel speakers don't work in w764, I have a Gigabyte GA-945PL S3 Rev1
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was originally having problems with Realtek HD Audio Manager properly operating my front panel audio jacks, so I attempted to update my audio drivers using the ones found on Realtek's website (2.70). After restarting, my computer has failed to load and locate the new drivers and in the task bar, the usual volume icon has a red and white X; mouse-overing brings up the message "No speakers or headphones are plugged in" (despite my speakers being plugged into the proper lime analog jack on my motherboard). Opening the Sound window from my control panel shows that there is only one option under playback devices: AMD HDMI Output, which it shows as not plugged in.
There is no analog speaker present, even with both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" checked by right clicking on the window. Within my device manager, under the 'Sound, video and game controllers' heading, there is only the AMD High Definition Audio Device. Under the 'System devices' heading, the only relevant devices are two High Definition Audio Controllers, one of which has a yellow caution symbol. Within the properties, under 'Device status', it displays "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". Both it and the working High Definition Audio Control point to the same driver, hdaudbus.sys.
In summary:
- No sound out of speakers.
- Sound icon in desktop taskbar says "No speakers or headphones plugged in" despite plugged in speakers
- Realtek HD Audio Manager does not open on system startup
- No analog sound present in Control Panel > Sound > Playback
- Two High Definition Audio Controller devices present in device manager, one with an error symbol, both pointing to the same windows (not realtek) HD driver
- No analog sound devices present in device manager
- Possibly incomplete install of Realtek Drivers upon reinstall attempt - installed files do not load when opened.
- No Rtlcpl.exe program present.
Steps already taken:
- Installed most recent version of Realtek HD Audio Codec (2.70) from realtek's website
- Redownload and reinstall of same drivers
- Download of Realtek HD Audio Codec (2.65 I believe, I'd have to uninstall to see)
- Redownload and reinstall of same drivers
- Extraction of files from .zip version of 2.70 drivers, unable to point to these drivers.
- Cleaning of registry (working on hunch that uninstalls of realtek drivers have lead to registry items being left that are preventing proper reinstall)
- System restore to week before the problem (loads original drivers, problem is still present)
- Removal of RTKVHD64.sys from c:WindowsSystem32drivers (was present after uninstall. I believe it was a remnant from the old system restored drivers, which couldn't be uninstalled due to missing registry files. File still remains outside of drivers folder as a backup)
- Ensuring integrated audio is inabled within the BIOS
- Update of BIOS
- Update of motherboard chipset.
Relevant System Specs:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64 Bit)
Motherboard: Intel DP55WG
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
Hunches I have:
Something to do with hdaudbus.sys - old related problems dealing with the AC'97 realtek drivers with respect to Win XP mention windows' UAA Bus Driver, which is what this is. Something in my registry is preventing me from installing Realtek properly. Maybe I need to give the full .zip a try again? Maybe I need to repeat these steps in safemode? I've been trying everything through normal installs and restarts. Try to find original driver disk from motherboard. (Having no luck with this). Last resort is reformat of C: drive.
I just bought an xps 8300 with a realtek sound card installed. But the spseaker system I have is Audigy Sound Blaster 2ZS. I'm trying to install my speakers, but I keep getting an error message that says my device is not found, and it's all hooked up properly. Do I need to uninstall the realtek program and then install my audigy speakers, or is that even possible.
