Realtek Audio Drivers And Stereo Mix Sound Problem
Jan 16, 2010I Built my computer recently on christmas day. I got all the drivers and my motherboard came with sound drivers however I got the Realtek Drivers for my board since they were not on the disc (Or for some reason did not get installed) But anyways the drivers are all working fine i've had no problems with my computer at all yet however whenever i try to record or transmit on ventrilo (VOIP) with Stereo Mix there is no sound. When i record on audacity with stereo mix nothing is recorded. There is just no sound.
The option is for stereo mix DOES exist and i know for sure that my motherboard has stereo mix. My friend also built a computer around the same time (Christmas break) with most of the same parts. He has my exact motherboard and his is working perfectly fine. The mobo im using is an EVGA X58. To anyone who can help I thank you and i will respond if you need to know any specs.
Stereo Audio Output Inverted On Realtek Front Panel And Firewire Card?
Jan 15, 2013I just realized that stereo output is inverted (L&R are swapped) on my Realtek front panel headphones connector and on my M-Audio Firewire card. Output is OK on Realtek rear main/front speakers connector.

I have some in-product sound card that came from Dell so I've been told it may not be possible. But I've found free software that does record in the same exact way that "Stereo Mix" would. Is there any universal sound drivers out there that would add "Stereo Mix" as an option?

Realtek Sound Card Problem
Nov 18, 2009I really need urgent help with my Realtek soundcard.
My sound is completely off, I cannot find Realtek soundcard in Device manager (not listed), Add New Hardware scan does nothing. I know that it is possibble to disable the soudncard in BIOS but I've searched through BIOS and couldn't find any option with "Sound" or something similar to it.
I've downloaded the drivers for Win 7 installed them but nothing happens when I restart.
Does anyone know what the option would be in BIOS to enable/disable the onboard soundcard?
Or is there something else?

Oct 24, 2009After upgrading to 7 I have been experiencing some random difficulties with my sound system. When going to my sound card properties, I notice that there is a generic name to the device, "High-Definition Audio Device". Before I upgraded (when I was on Vista) I'm sure that it said Realtek-something but I don't remember the exact device name.
I want to download a driver update for my sound card, but how do I find out which driver I need to download if the name of the sound card is not showing?

Jul 3, 2010i'm using the onboard sound card for my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 mobo.The sound chipset is Realtek ALC889. I've updated the latest drivers, but there is crackling/static noise when I play music.Currently I mainly use a 2.1 speaker system. But Ive tried testing it with headphones the static/crackling noises persists.It is not constant, but it shows up periodically. Furthermore, when there is no music/sound playing the noise is not there. This leads me to believe its a hardware/driver issue and not so much a speaker/interference issue.

Nov 30, 2012So i've had this problem before but randomly windows 7 seems to make it so my 5.1 speakers only send out stereo through 2/3 speakers. I've never found the cause or the fix of it until now, and even then I only know the cause. So as far as i can tell it was when i plugged a 3.5mm jack in the front port that it changed to stereo, so i'm guessing that a setting has changed due to that lead and it hasn't reverted back?So.. anyone have any ideas? FPS Drop Because Of Sound Card / Sound Card Drivers
Sep 19, 2009I've recently upgraded my os to windows 7, and noticed a significant
fps drop in all games I've installed. The problem seems to come from the sound card.
I've disabled it in device manager and I gained a steady 15-20 more in most of the applications.
Any idea what to do? Is it a driver issue or something? I got an Athlon 64x2 4600+, Asus M2N mainboard,
2 gigs of ram, Gainward 8800GS video card, Sound Blaster Live 24bit soundcard.
Drivers are downloaded from creative.

I remember having to download a sound driver fro Vista but that it has a win 7 fix in it. I think it was the ac97 driver but I cant remember where I got it from.
Everytime I think I have found it, it turns out to be a driver scan application that i have to pay for!!

Aug 25, 2011I cannot hear any sound from my PC, I tried connecting through both the front panel and the back panel to no avail.I however did notice that the only panel option available on Realtek HD seems to be the Realtek HD Audio rear output and that doesn't work.It's quite frustrating because I can't hear any sound from my computer even when I used a headphone.

Realtek HD Audio Pop Noise Before And After Sound?
Oct 7, 2010I have just installed a new PC, which has Realtek HD Audio on board.The problem I encounter, is that when using the Realtek HD Audio Driver, I get a "blip" sound before and after each sound, almost as if the speaker port is being enabled and disabled.I should point out, that I still get this blip through my front speakers, even when sound is coming out of rear speakers only (such as when performing a windows sound test).I should also point out, that when using the Windows 7 sound drivers, I do not have this problem - all is fine! Except for the big fact, that my rear speakers are not enabled as Windows 7 drivers insist on driving them all through the same jack port, which is why I need to run the Realtek HD Audio Manager & Driver.
