Stereo Audio Output Inverted On Realtek Front Panel And Firewire Card?
Jan 15, 2013
I just realized that stereo output is inverted (L&R are swapped) on my Realtek front panel headphones connector and on my M-Audio Firewire card. Output is OK on Realtek rear main/front speakers connector.
I have a front audio panel and a CMI 8738-6ch sound card. The front audio does not work and has a wire coming directly from the back of it with this plug on the end of it... There are 4 wires going into this plug.On the sound card I have a 4 pin connector which, by trying with the computer turned off, I know fits this plug. Despite them fitting together, this being the only wire coming from the front audio panel and plug being on the sound card we all know that naivety often makes 2+2 = 5?
My motherboard doesn't have firewire, and for the life of me i can't find a single expansion card that has an internal pinout that I can connect the cable for my front firewire port to. The closest I found was not low-profile compatible.and this is for the computer in my description, but on monday I'm switching out the case for a low profile hec 7K09 HTPC case.
My sound card Xonar D1 doesn't work properly and i wrote to ASUS and they told me to connect the "HD audio" or "speaker" cables from the front panel of motherboard to the sound card's front panel. Is that safe to do? weather it will work or not, is it safe to try?
This doesn't work. Very irritating.(I don't know if this RealTek sticky at the top of this forum is a solve for this, I'm not hot on registry changes and I'm not sure if this is a fix for this issue.)Firstly I have to turn off the front-panel detection in order for the front panel to be detected..?Secondly, I can't get the speakers to mute when the front phones are plugged in. I can do a manual switch from one to the other, but the front panel won't detect when things are plugged in.
I have an hp media center PC m7350n and I have upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, I also installed a new graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6450. When I was working on Windows XP my front panel audio was working for my headsets and microphone. Since I've upgraded my headsets and microphone don't work anymore. I tried many different things but didn't work. I first checked the connections inside the PC then I upgraded to the last Realtek HD driver, I looked in the bios nothing there to be done, I don't even have an option for front panel. The only option I have is onboard audio- auto/enable and disable which only works on enable. Then I looked in Realtek audio manager and the front panel connectors are greyed out or lighter than all the other connectors. When I plug in my headsets and microphone nothing happens and speakers still work. I checked mark disable back connectors when headsets are plugged in and nothing changes. The only change I have is when I check out mute microphone boost I have a squelching sound in my headsets. All the forums talk about Bios and front panel enabled and alc97 which I do not have as an option.
I Built my computer recently on christmas day. I got all the drivers and my motherboard came with sound drivers however I got the Realtek Drivers for my board since they were not on the disc (Or for some reason did not get installed) But anyways the drivers are all working fine i've had no problems with my computer at all yet however whenever i try to record or transmit on ventrilo (VOIP) with Stereo Mix there is no sound. When i record on audacity with stereo mix nothing is recorded. There is just no sound.
The option is for stereo mix DOES exist and i know for sure that my motherboard has stereo mix. My friend also built a computer around the same time (Christmas break) with most of the same parts. He has my exact motherboard and his is working perfectly fine. The mobo im using is an EVGA X58. To anyone who can help I thank you and i will respond if you need to know any specs.
I have this motherboard. and get no audio when I plug in headphones in the front or back ports. I'm running win 7 so there aren't compatible drivers available on asus site, I tried downloading the vista x64 and installing them in compatibility mode but the device manager shows "High Definition Audio Device" so I think it's still using a generic windows driver.
Also tried these: Realtek
Sound>Playback shows Digital Audio (S/PDIF) and sound bars move while playing a mp3 or movie but still no audio. Usually speakers and headphones show up I though? I don't even see them when I choose show disabled devices. I tested usb headphones and got audio but I really need those 3.5 jacks to work.
The audio on this board is: Realtek ALC662, 6-CH High-Definition Audio CODEC
I've also reset the bios, and the mic shows up and receives data when plugged in but still no sound.
I just had to move my graphics card to another slot for access to another PCIE slot. And my back audio sound jack stopped working. Ive tried with my monitor speaker and headphones and it does not work. Specs:
windows 7 i7 3930k 32gb of ripjaws Z noctua nh-d14 thermal take level 10 gt x79 sabertooth
My front panel audio does not work either. I got bios set to HD audio and i am using the hd audio plug
I rercently came with the following problem without any reason:I have a realtek audio chipset with my mother board.Since some time, the HD audio drivers keeps on detecting/undetecting a device plugged in my front jack (resulting is sound cutoff, which is more than annoying). But, there is nothing plugged. If I plug something then, the detection works right.I'm wondering if it is a software problem, or if there is something wrong with my motherboard or my front jack connector (some kind of shortcut or whatever).
I have realtek ALC898, part of gigabyte Z77 UD5h mobo, windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Rear jack speakers always work, sound always works. But after sleep, the front panel audio jack does not work, ie headphones silent.
Workaround 1) go to device manager, disable realtek high definition audio, then enable it, then front panel audio jack works properly. workaround 2) restart the computer and it works again.
I tried disabling sleep and using hibernate, since I read somewhere that hibernate is like a restart, but apparently it is not. Using hibernate, once it resumes from hibernate, front jack still doesnt work just like using sleep mode.
It sounds like resuming from sleep mode or hibernate mode, that windows 7 is failing to reinitialize some of the realtek audio drivers, at least those associated with front panel audio jack for headphones. So have to restart or disable/enable realtek high def audio in device manager. I have most recent realtek drivers, tried both from realtek, and most recent from Gigabyte, both have same issue. My windows 7 is fully up to date.
Am I right in this is just failure of 7 to reinitialize some drivers?
I have Fujitsu-Siemens Laptop with Realtek Audio card built-in. Initially when I open the Realtek Audio Manager it shows Speakers and Digital Output as well. I have disabled the Digital Output at certain time, and now cannot find a way to enable it again.I've searched in the Control Panel, tried trouble shoot utility from the Control Panel and have got no idea how to enable Digital Output back.
I cannot hear any sound from my PC, I tried connecting through both the front panel and the back panel to no avail.I however did notice that the only panel option available on Realtek HD seems to be the Realtek HD Audio rear output and that doesn't work. It's quite frustrating because I can't hear any sound from my computer even when I used a headphone.
1. how do I change from Realtek HD Audio rear output ie back panel to front panel?
Windows 7 86. I have NO SOUND and my Realtek HD Audio will not open from the control panel. I have reinstalled the drivers and used system image to recover but it has not solved the problem. I have used this system image before and it work perfect. I think it is a hardware problem but how can I check this or what other option may I have not considered?
It's not in my control panel, I've reinstalled drivers 3 times from 3 different places, I looked in the Realtek folder for an exe that I'm pretty sure is called RAVCpl64 and found nothing. I found the aforementioned exe in my driverstore folder, but when I run it, nothing happened. I forgot to mention I'm running Win7x64, and am using a custom built PC with an Asus M4A77TD board.
I'm trying to hook up my TV with my computer, and for the most part it's working. The video goes through and I get how to control it and everything. The only thing not working is the sound.
I'm using an HDMI to HDMI cable, and like I said the video is fine. Also, when the cable is plugged into my boyfriend's laptop, the sound comes out of the TV.
So this must mean the problem is with my computer specifically. Although, this computer is only a month old, so I wouldn't think anything is out of date.
I can't get my pc to output 5.1 audio through my spdif. My ht shows what is coming in, sound wise. I get 5.1 from my dvr, but not my pc. I'm running on board sound and video, my video card died. I have an Asus m4a78-em mobo. realtek hd.
last week bought a new pc.but a problem happened 2 time for this new pc for me is that sometimes when i connect a flash driver into front panel usb 3 suddenly windows crash and freeze.even i can't restart pc after i push restart bottom in case the pc turn off.some one said me never us that front panle usb port. it may crash your mainboard.
I have a Corsair case with an Asus P8Z77 LX motherboard. I have already had Corsair send me a replacement front panel connection for the USB 3.0 ports, and am now stuck at what to do. Basically USB 2.0 connection speeds are abysmal over the front panel USB 3.0 ports. USB 3.0 (Hard disk and flash drive) drop connections promptly. Sometimes things can be copied from them successfully at a reasonable speed. But writing any data to them it always, every time drops out and Windows 7 reports that the device is no longer available.
I have SB X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion installed on my computer ( Win 7). I installed and updated all drivers and used it in Game mode first. Everything - sound, rare mic, front headphones , even remote controle worked just perfectly. After that I needed to use the front line-in so I pluged my cable in, changed the mode to Audio Creation and changed the recording device from microphone ( the rare one) to line-in ( front panel). It also worked just fine but since then I can't reverse it back. My rare mic won't work. I reinstalled the drivers, checked my mic - everything is just fine and working(checked on another computer) but the mic won't work. It can't recognize that the mic is plugged in.After long search in the net I found the interesting information that once you anable the front panel the back mic will get disabled automatically. Now I can't get it back to work. So my question is how can I disable the front line-in or panel
The microphone jack on the front panel of my computer is having detection problems. I have tried the "disable front panel detection" option and then my mic works perfectly after that. However, whenever I hit the mute switch on my microphone, whatever is playing on my computer gets broadcasted from my mic for everyone to hear even though my microphone is switched off. I've tried this with multiple microphones and the result is the same with each of them. I've been looking around for solutions and haven't found any solution to this articular problem.
I recently got a brand new computer case and today when I inserted external HDD, the computer reseted itself.HDD is working fine in motherboard USB ports, but when I want to connect the HDD device from front panel, the screen suddenly goes back and computer restarts. In device manager there is no problem discovered. It resets even if I touch the USB port with the HDD connector. It can't be short circuit right?
I have four USB ports on the front panel and four on the rear panel of the case. I have two "Enhanced" USB controllers. How can I determine which of the four USB front panel ports are USB 2.0 ??
