View 3 Replies View RelatedWell, I've installed Windows 7 Beta on a secondary hard drive I use for such things. Looks nice but disappointed to see that they have chosen to support every single HP printer in existence EXCEPT for the LaserJet 3200 (one of the most common printers out there).
Is this yet another example of M$ ignoring the obvious or is it that HP is pulling the rug from under us by not supporting their products with drivers? If the LaserJet 3200 driver isn't available, is there another one that will make this printer work in Windows 7?
P.S., Does anyone else HATE the spacing between the icons on the task bar? For the life of me, I cannot understand the reasoning behind putting this HUGE space between each icon. It adds no functionality and permits fewer icons for quick launch on the task bar. Another head-scratcher from M$.
I have a trusty dusty HP Laserjet 3200. There are no W7 drivers for this model yet and the Vista 64 drivers don't work and can't be installed in compatibility mode.
Are there any other drivers out there that will work with the Laserjet 3200 and W7 and give me basic functionality or am I just SOL until HP releases some drivers?

Up until the other day, I've been using my MSI Wind u230 netbook / Radeon HD 3200 to output to my monitor (Acer S243HL - only has 1x DVI and 2x HDMI inputs) and then occasionally swap to a Westinghouse 32" TV.The other day: I was using my monitor then swapped to the tv, and then returned to my room to connect to the monitor and it just won't work. (To note, I've been using Win key + P to set projector only and to disconnect projector before unplugging the HDMI cable.)The netbook screen will turn itself off (as if it detects the HDMI-out) but the screen or TV will just show "No signal."I tried a shorter HDMI cable, tried the other input on the monitor, still nothing. Strangely enough, checking the displays in Catalyst or the Screen Resolution properties, it can detect both the TV and the monitor. There's just no signal coming out.Even stranger: trying to connect another laptop to the monitor (which used to work) displays "No signal" too.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an elderly (approx 3 years old) , but perfectly functioning HP Laserjet 1000. I understand that HP have not, and will not, issue a Win 7 driver update for this machine. I do not want to have to buy a new printer, when this one works brilliantly. My question is, if I install XP on a separate partition, and reinstall the Laserjet, will it work? And are there any implications in running two different operating systems on the same computer, please?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Laserjet 1020 that I can't get to work with my OS (Windows 7 Beta 32-bit). I found the driver on the HP site, but it will not function with this Beta system, and Windows will not recognize the printer as a printer; it just comes up as a device. How do I solve this problem?
I already looked through the updates catalogue and found nothing that looked right.
i can't get a HP LaserJet 1320 to work on Windows 7 64-bit. It is a printer connected to an XP machine on the network, when i add the printer, it says, that the driver can't be found on the network, then i can pick a driver from disk, but the 64-bit driver package, that HP offers on their page for this printer doesn't work.
There's also an install.exe in the package, but it just says Installing for too long and does nothing.
Have you encountered this issue?
This printer is about 5 years old. It is perfect for my needs, but HP will not issue a Win 7 driver for it. I REALLY don't want to buy another . I have been given lots of advice, and tried all sorts of options. Once I did actually manage to print something.
The printer is a hybrid: parallel port connector with a USB connector coming out of it.
Please can someone advise me how to get this going?
i installed windows 7 beta build 7000 but my problem that the HP laserjet 1005 printer drivers was not installed and can not be seen
i used it in vista and there was no problem

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two CP1518ni LaserJets and I am using the USB port in both cases. The laptop I am using is a Lenovo IdeaPad.I have no problem with the LaserJet that I use at home. The LaserJet that I use at work does not work, and it prints an extra page after every document. (I have heard that HP is aware of this problem - but no solution is currently available for USB users).Since I know that the printer works at home, how can I copy this driver and use it for my printer at work? Both printers are set up for USB so it makes sense that I use the same driver. I have labeled one as Home and the other as Work, in case there are documents still in memory when I close down the computer. Can I just copy the Home printer driver (how?) and then change its name to Work?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Laserjet 5N (I know, pretty old) connected via parallel (LPT1) port to my computer. It worked just fine on my old machine with Windows XP on it, however, I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 on it and I've been having problems making it work ever since.I went to Control Panel > Devices and PriFnters > Add printer, did the "Windows Update" which updated the list of drivers and the HP LaserJet 5N was listed there.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed a local printer and left it running because it was taking ages searching Windows 7.
It is an HP Laserjet P2015 on a USB port and seems ok and setup correctly because it is in my Printers folder as default.
However whenever I try printing something, I see the printer in the printer dialog and click ok - immediately it pops up this weird new dialog box as if it wants me to select the printer again...
see attachment,
I do not know what to enter - my printer is not a network printer, it cannot find the printer and I cannot cancel the dialog box.
When I kill the word task, I get a message saying the doc has been sent to the printer, but nothing is sent to the printer.
Please - can anyone shed some light on this?
I installed Windows 7 on an office laptop and I cannot print now because I don't have the correct drivers. i didn't see any on the HP website either, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
Any ideas on how to get this working?
Has anyone successfully found a driver for the above and installed it? I have a conversion cable from parallel port to usb.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWith 32bit Vista Ultimate, the HP Color Laserjet 3500 printer worked fine. I just upgraded to Windows 7 and when I plugged the printer cable into the computer it started to download drivers, etc... After it was all set, I went to print. It goes into the print Que and just sits...almost like it is not being pushed to the printer. I uninstalled & reinstalled...also tried to run compatibility mode but to no avail.
Is this model not compatible with 7?
