With 32bit Vista Ultimate, the HP Color Laserjet 3500 printer worked fine. I just upgraded to Windows 7 and when I plugged the printer cable into the computer it started to download drivers, etc... After it was all set, I went to print. It goes into the print Que and just sits...almost like it is not being pushed to the printer. I uninstalled & reinstalled...also tried to run compatibility mode but to no avail.
I have two CP1518ni LaserJets and I am using the USB port in both cases. The laptop I am using is a Lenovo IdeaPad.I have no problem with the LaserJet that I use at home. The LaserJet that I use at work does not work, and it prints an extra page after every document. (I have heard that HP is aware of this problem - but no solution is currently available for USB users).Since I know that the printer works at home, how can I copy this driver and use it for my printer at work? Both printers are set up for USB so it makes sense that I use the same driver. I have labeled one as Home and the other as Work, in case there are documents still in memory when I close down the computer. Can I just copy the Home printer driver (how?) and then change its name to Work?
Tryed to let win 7 do automatically. Failed numerous times. Try the Pcl 6 driver on the hp website. Hp sitee says it should install. Running 32 bit os pc is on a network. Printer is a hp color sphere laserjet 3000. I am getting a 3000 printer icon. The icon is inactive.
I have a networked HP color laserjet 5 (yes, the lights dim when I turn it on, and you can smell the ozone). No driver on the win 7 printer list. HPs website says you can get it from Windows Update. Question is, how do I force this download - do I have to try to plug it in directly, with a parallel cable or someting, so it tries to plug and play it?
Tryed my software no good, worked fine under XP and Vista. How did you get it to work I'm frustrated been fighting this since yesterday. HP has no windows 7 driver for 2600n also this printer isnt listed in the add printer HP list of drivers.
I used the Vista driver on my Win 7 machine. The printer does work, but sometimes I have to actually shut down the PC to get the page to complete printing and eject the sheet. This happens pretty much every time when printing from a networked machine. Does anyone else see this behavior?
I am running windows 7 on a laptop. My son is also running windows 7 on his notebook computer.Neiter of us is able to wirelessly print to the HP Color LaserJet 2600n. It works fine with XP and Vista so we are certain there is nothing wrong with the network, printer, or connections. We are able to use USB to print but it is quite awkward.A driver ... no updated windows 7 drivers are available on line for the HP Color LaserJet 2600n. I see them for many other HP models but not the 2600n.
I have an Hewlwtt Packard HP Color LaserJet 2840 which is connected via USB to a Belkin PLAY N600 DB router, which is connected to my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I have been to the HP webstie and it tells me to use the drivers that came with Windows 7.
So in the Devices & Printers window it is there, labelled as HP Color LaserJet 2800 series and when I try to print I get an error.
I'm guessing it is something to do with the driver as I cannot scan at all, it just tells me there is no scanner connected!!
I want to color calibrate my new Dell XPS 15z laptop, but before I do I'd like to back up the existing color profile in case I prefer it to the calibrated one ...
The only problem is, when I open Color Management, NO default color profile is listed, so I don't know what to go back to. I know there HAS to be a default color profile somewhere ... How do I find it?
I just purchased a Netgear 3500 Gigabyte router. The NetGear site indicates that their 3500v2 supports Window 7 but I cannot determine when they will support the 3500 I own. Anyone Know? Read a review that my version can be installed MANUALLY. Any COMMENTS? Next driver problem... Neither the NetGear nor the Lynksys wireless adaptors have Windows 7 drivers(dualband, rangemax, gigagyte adaptors).
This problem is 2 years old and no-where have I found a solution. I am pretty good with pcs and in fact I had another one with Vista which I upgraded to Win 7 and the drivers worked instantly! Yet on this Hewitt Packard with the 64 bit Win 7 it has refused for 2 years to recognise the same drivers. I have un-installed dozen times and re-installed. And yes I have the 64bit drivers in the correct file ie cjq3500-4500Win7en.exe but every install says drivers not found. Wireless connection also won't work, and trying to update drivers is impossible as it's greyed out by windows and not selectable. Under general tab, it even says Manufacturer unknown! I believe this is a problem with 64bit Win 7, where as 32 bit installed (on the other pc) with no trouble. It could be time to throw something away, but there's nothing wrong with the printer
I am trying to set my monitor's screen give accurate renditions of my pictures. I use Quick Gamma to set gamma. When doing this I can use either Nvidia's controls or windows controls (right click desktop>Nvidia Control Panel. When using Nvidia's Control Panel, there are two choices: Use other applications control color settings or Use Nvidia settings. Am I correct in assuming that the former setting is Windows? I always check the button to use Nvidia settings (and then Apply>OK), but when I go back to this screen at a later time, the Other applications control color settings is always selected. I'd like to default to Nvidia.
I am having windows 7 ultimate on computer and i am having software drivers and printer with catridges of hp deskjet 3500 series . but windows 7 doesn't support. hp deskjet 3500 series drivers support only windows xp and previous versions.
I have tried to download and install this driver on several different computers. None of them work with the printer. I am not sure where to find a driver that works. I have a win 7 64bit.
I have a dell 3500 vostro and started using Win7 last week. Since that time the graiphic card hasn't been working well, I've tried to fix it but couldn't find the proper driver.
Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.
My monitor seems to be faulty or just crap because when I first switch it on the gamma is way high and then it goes back its normal level after about 20 minutes, it is also too high anyway so I use "color management" to set a profile with less gamma...previously I have set 2 profiles one with less gamma and one with even less for when I first switch the monitor on.
I am having a problem with the built in Windows 7 color calibration.I follow the wizard for achieving the correct calibration and I am very happy with the final results. However when I restart the computer it looses the calibration settings, so it has to be re-done.
