Jan 9, 2009Well, I've installed Windows 7 Beta on a secondary hard drive I use for such things. Looks nice but disappointed to see that they have chosen to support every single HP printer in existence EXCEPT for the LaserJet 3200 (one of the most common printers out there).
Is this yet another example of M$ ignoring the obvious or is it that HP is pulling the rug from under us by not supporting their products with drivers? If the LaserJet 3200 driver isn't available, is there another one that will make this printer work in Windows 7?
P.S., Does anyone else HATE the spacing between the icons on the task bar? For the life of me, I cannot understand the reasoning behind putting this HUGE space between each icon. It adds no functionality and permits fewer icons for quick launch on the task bar. Another head-scratcher from M$.

Make Laserjet 3200 Work With Windows 7?
Jan 14, 2009I have a trusty dusty HP Laserjet 3200. There are no W7 drivers for this model yet and the Vista 64 drivers don't work and can't be installed in compatibility mode.
Are there any other drivers out there that will work with the Laserjet 3200 and W7 and give me basic functionality or am I just SOL until HP releases some drivers?

Apr 26, 2012Up until the other day, I've been using my MSI Wind u230 netbook / Radeon HD 3200 to output to my monitor (Acer S243HL - only has 1x DVI and 2x HDMI inputs) and then occasionally swap to a Westinghouse 32" TV.The other day: I was using my monitor then swapped to the tv, and then returned to my room to connect to the monitor and it just won't work. (To note, I've been using Win key + P to set projector only and to disconnect projector before unplugging the HDMI cable.)The netbook screen will turn itself off (as if it detects the HDMI-out) but the screen or TV will just show "No signal."I tried a shorter HDMI cable, tried the other input on the monitor, still nothing. Strangely enough, checking the displays in Catalyst or the Screen Resolution properties, it can detect both the TV and the monitor. There's just no signal coming out.Even stranger: trying to connect another laptop to the monitor (which used to work) displays "No signal" too.

4 GB To 8 GB RAM Where's Performance Increase?
Apr 23, 2011I know there is probably a simple answer out there, however RAM is cheap right now and I though I would go ahead and future proof my system or whatever. My WEI with 4 GB RAM was 6.6 and after upgrading to 8 GB of Crucial RAM it was 6.6. I knew the difference from 4 to 8 would be negligible but I thought I would see a better score. The system does see 8 GB RAM by the way.

Performance Says CPU 60% But Processes Only 5%
Oct 26, 2011My CPU/RAM gadget shows the cpu at about 60%. The task manager performance graph agrees. I look at the processes in task manager, and order by CPU usage, and the top two or three processes are using 2 or 3%! What gives? Why doesn't the processes window show the processes that are using this 60%of cpu? How do I find out what is using the cpu that much?

Sep 30, 2011I have a HP Pavillion Ddv6-3230us laptop. 2.4 GHz 4 GB ram, Windows 7 Home Edition.I bought it brand new in January and this morning I got a start up error after reopening the lid (it wasnt hibernating or turned off). I ran the start up recovery utility and it couldn't fix it. I did a sys restore, still couldn't fix it. When I try to talk on windows live messenger (my friend has their webcam on, not me) and try to stream a tv show or watch a video, everything starts crackling and freezing. It's got a AMD Athlon II X2 215 2.70 ghz processor and 2GB of RAM.Just logging in takes an age and then launching something simple like a browser can take a good few minutes for anything to happen.I've put the CPU gadget on my desktop for a quick guide and although my CPU is about 20%, my ram is often 85%+.I've done the basic servicing processes, like defaging but they've made little difference.I've looked on the Crucial.co.uk website for Ram upgrades and have seen that I can upgrade to 8GB of RAM for less than £40.Would this be a worthwhile investment or is there something else causing the system to be so slow.I myself am a Mac user, so I'm not familiar with ways to improve performance on a PC, but I don't want my parents to struggle with the PC in the way they currently are, so if I can speed things up for them I'd like to be able to.
