Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.I restart, and the cycle continues. This happens whether I try to boot normally or in safe modeI've got no CD-drive attached to it, so I'm not sure what I can do to break this error cycle.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned, you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games, that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card, but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then, select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then, enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate, may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found, then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

I am trying to upgrade Vista to Windows7 Home Premium and I got this message after the installer copied ~2GB of files on my PC:
"setup can't continue. restart the computer and restart setup. when prompted try getting the latest updates."
I restarted the PC and restarted the setup and I got the same message. I updated the Mother Board Bios and restarted the setup I got the same message. I have tried both options (get update and no update during the setup). And it didn't work.
I do not want to do custom install (fresh install) on my computer.
I downloaded the HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One Printer - C309a software package. Once it extracts it stops running. When I go to the folder and run the Setup.exe file I get the circle on the pointer which makes me believe it is trying to run but then nothing happens. There seem to be sevelar threads about this being a problem with Windows 7 / IE8 but none that I have found have a solution. Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64.

I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my notebook. It currently has Vista and the computer will not boot up at all. It will not let me go into safe mode, or even system recovery. The memory and hard drive are both fine (based on the tests.) Whenever it boots from the Windows 7 disc it goes to "Setup is starting." and just hangs there. I've let it sit for about 40 mins and I really doubt it needs more time. I've searched on this a little but none of the solutions seem to work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two SATA hard drives. I was poking around in the BIOS yesterday and noticed that they were setup IDE instead of AHCI. I am not sure what either does and did not want to change anything without asking. When I first got my PC, it had XP installed, so I am thinking that is why IDE is set. Do I need to change it to AHCI? I am not having any problems. Would it be of any great advantage to change it? I understand that after the OS is installed, it is a problem to switch to AHCI.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought my new computer, and it came with two RealSSD C300 256 GB. I want to set up raid 0 to have one drive with 512 GB. I really don't mind the performance boost, i just want to have one partition with 512 GB. I already have it on RAID mode, but whenever the Marvel screen appears, i already tried pressing CTRL M, CTRL R, CTRL I, Space, none of those seem to work.
I own the Maximus IV Extreme motherboard.
I bought a 2nd 580 3GB GPU fitted it in no probs, and apart from trying to figure out which DVI slot runs the display (for some reason it wasnt the original) - got SLi up and running. However the first thing I did was to benchmark it with the "Heaven" demo - it ran (with audio) and then spluttered and crashed.Since then I have no sound on the PC... apart from via the TVThe PC is hooked up to a hi-fi usually via line-out 3.5mm jack. Since the upgrade this wont work at all. Sound only comes via the option of the TV in audio settings. Ive disabled that, and saw "speakers" were not plugged in (when they were). After much tooing and froing I googled this and found it may be a Realtek setting. I enabled "front ports" via Realtex and the speaker icon re-appeared, I tested the unit - NO SOUND!! However the green "level" bars show up for both back panel and front panel but nothing is heard. Ive tried a different set of speakers, different cable and different OS but same issue.
Ive tried uninstalling the Nvidia drivers thinking it could be their HD Definition Audio driver, also went into Nvidia control panel and saw an option for the GPUs audio to be turned off - still nothing. Tried disabling onboard audio via BIOS - still nothing.Tested my hi-fi - works fine. Its my worry that something may have borked up on the motherboard (Rampage 4 Extreme)
Remember when you installed Windows 7, there was that one setup thing that asked you for the time, your username, and password?Ok so my friend wanted me to upgrade his HP laptop to Windows 7, since he originally had the you-know-is-junk version of windows (Vista).I was able to install all of the software, but what I want to know is if there's a way to run that configuration setup thing again.

If you were me would you add a 64GB SSD and setup this system for Smart Response Technology or would you add a 120GB SSD and install the OS on it?
So i just build my computer.....well upgraded from quad core 9550 to core i7 now with my old computer, i was thinking of making that a data server, and having my main rig just os and applications and having the serve on a 2 gig connection to the network does that seem feasible. I have 4 1tb hard drives i wanted to do them in a raid 5 however the Intel controller on the x58 chipset will not let me do non boot raid setup so i can only get 2tb max in that setup.
The i know on board raid isn't the best but raid controller cards are expensive. I will basically use this server for all my data, website creation movies, and music store. i have my os on a raid 0 2x 300gb veloci raptor. Let me know what your ideas are.
How to set up my 120 GB SSD as just my OS Drive then use my 1 TB and my 750 and another 750 for data etc. So I have backed up all my data from my current install (right now I am running my OS from the 1 tb and the SSD isn't even being used yet. I just wanted to know the best way to set it up so I can use the SSD JUST FOR THE OS and then install programs and steam etc in the 1 TB (cuz i got at least 500 GB of games from steam). Can I just install the OS on the SSD then format my 1 TB and make 3 folders Users, Program Files and Program Files (x86), and then install programs in to the appropriate folders?
