Gave A Hell 3M Error One Time And The Other Time It Gave 9 Passes And 0 Errors?
Mar 9, 2012they usally happens in the first couple of boots everyday (heard it is called cold boot error)and lately it happened with me while playing hardcore gamesI tried reinstalling win many times and formating the whole HDD but no use.I think the problem is related to my ram cuz sometimes when I rmove them and put them in the motherboard again the problem is solved for some time and sometimes nothing happens at all, and when I run memtest86 it gave me a hell 3M error one time and the other time it gave me 9 passes and 0 errors have win 7 pro x86 full retail versionI bought this computer more than 4 years ago, II had my motherboard fixed before and changed some ICs in it (I think over restarting the computer due to BSoDs caused it)

May 19, 2012I am getting BSODs while playing games. They are irregular and can happen every half hour or several hours in between.
Rig is:
Asus Sabertooth P67 (latest bios 3029, after installing these more problems occured)
Intel i5 CPU
Nvidia Geforce 9800GT
Corsair Vengeance 4gb x 4
All drivers are the latest. Graphics, chipset, SATA, BIOS and so forth. I have run both memtest86 which showed no errors in individual testing of the memories but when I had them all in and ran it an error showed up. I have done the chkdsk. Both /f /r and without it. Did show up errors but claims to be fixed now.
Ntoskrnl is the driver that always shows up. What I really need to know is if this is a hardware or driver problem. My biggest question is if it is a motherboard issue or not. I had bsod problems before I updated BIOS but they happened more frequently after. Attaching the three latest minidumps.

Can Back Up Discs In HDD And Play The Games Without Inserting Each CD/DVD Every Time?
Jul 10, 2011Of late my laptop's DVD-ROM has been giving a lot of problems to me. It isn't being able to read CDs/DVDs. Each time I have to eject the disc, then insert it and do the entire process a lot of times for the CD/DVD to be read.This problem has irritated me for a while now. There are many games which need the CD/DVD to be inserted, and each time when I change the discs, it takes away at least 5-6 minutes.Is there a way by which I can back up the discs in my HDD and play the games without inserting each CD/DVD every time? And the problem is DVD specific. For instance, the DVD of Ashes Cricket 09 is read in 2-3 attempts but that of NBA 2K11 takes at least 7-8 attempts for the laptop to read the disc. Is it a problem with my laptop or the DVDs? And I tried installing Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools, but the installation process keeps on asking me to reboot. After a reboot, it gives the same message.I read somewhere that there are some issues of SPTD drivers on Windows 7 but couldn't really find a solution to it.

Apr 26, 2011About a month after I started using it, the Say the Time clock program I bought stopped launching the management menu when I right click the date/time field in the task tray (notification area).
Therefore, I can't use or edit the program. Neither the touchpad nor the cordless mouse works.
Other than this problem, my computer works great. Every single item that's meant to be right clicked works for me.
Is there a way I can generate a log to show the software manufacturer (Provenio) that it's their problem and not mine? I am a novice user but I can follow instructions. However, I don't want to put my computer at risk if I make an entry error.
I've been using computers for 18 years and I've never had this problem until I bought this software and used it for about a month.
I just wanted a conclusive way of putting the ball back in the manufacturer's court.
System Time Not Kept Correctly After Having Manually Changed BIOS Time
Apr 23, 2012I spilt some water on my laptop a few days ago but fortunately it's completely dried out and working perfectly.... apart from this minor (but important) issue.
Problem: the system time does not stay correct. Even after manually updating the BIOS time and also even after manually syncing it with the various servers available under the time options.
Fix: set the internet time sync interval to every minute rather than its default setting? How do I do this?
P.S. This couldn't be a CMOS battery issue surely because even when the system is on and plugged in the system time still deviates from correct. (I assume the CMOS battery is only used when the system is powered off.) If I need it replaced, how does that sit with my Dell hardware warranty?
Dell I620 Desktop Freezes (locks) Up From Time To Time?
Jan 14, 2012So I bought a new desktop computer about 2 weeks ago and ever since I got it, it's been freezing (locking) up on me at random times. I currently use Windows 7 64-bit. I put in a new graphics card and new memory sticks just the other day and I got the same freezing problem. It's very random. I can be surfing the web and the next thing you know, the whole thing freezes up. I can't move the mouse. Can't do CTRL ALT DEL. Can't do anything. Seems as if the whole computer locks up. The only way to restart the computer is by manually holding in the power button for a few seconds. So since I replaced graphics card and installed new memory, I was thinking it may be something else causing this.

The problem I'm experiencing is that during online game sessions, I would experience sudden disconnects. Thing is when I only use my browser everything seems fine. The internet connection to my house is pretty stable, nobody else is experiencing the same issues as me when it comes connectivity. I've made sure to run virus checks to see if it was a nasty virus, nothing has been found. Drivers are all up to date as well. So I checked my Event Logs and found this: TCP/IP has chosen to restrict the scale factor due to a network condition. This could be related to a problem in a network device and will cause degraded throughput.
