Explain how to export a registry settings for some applications (in my example only for Windows Sidebar-Gadgets and Windows Mail)? Are all of the registry keys for those applications in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE i.e. or man must some more registry keys export?

View 4 Replies View Relatedim needing to backup some applications, it would make things a whole lot easier when reinstalling windows. isnt there an application where i can either point it to the main executable of a program, or its shortcut in teh start menu and this program will read into the uninstall and grab all the registry data into a file, so that i can save this info along with the directory of teh application itself?
This way i can cut and paste the app over to the new location (another operating system of the same type) then run this application that will spit the registry entries in for the app. Then i can create a shortcut and when i run it i dont want it to complain about any registry problems, etc.
I want to remove all my registry errors and was wondering if I reinstall windows completely does that resest all of the registry?

(I already read and understood your message: don't use those tools and stay out of your registry. A lesson I learned too late, unfortunately.)My computer rebooted and after a couple of minutes I noticed the message: " failure configuring windows features reverting changes ". I managed to bypass this loop by running in safe mode and recover my computer to a restore point in the past. This only worked partially: I get windows to run in normal mode but I get this message: "system failed while restoring the registry from the restore point. Restore point damaged or was deleted during restore". So it didn't restore but I can get into my windows now.So I don't get the 'reverting change loop' anymore, so I can access my computer but what's the mess? Well my computer is slow as hell.Like mentioned above, I already looked around on this forum and wrote down what I already tried. [code] My computer is terrible slow because of a registry defrag/optimization of a registry tool (in combination with windows update) --> I need to find a way to get back my old registry files but system recovery ain't working.

I've imported the contacts from Outlook 2003 into WLM, no problem.How can I export the messages from Outlook into WLM.It's a new machine and came with a trial version of Windows Outlook 2007 installed so I opend it and imported the messages from the old Outlook 2003 into the new Outlook 2007 on the new machine, now I'm stuck. View 1 Replies View Relatedusing Premiere Pro CS5 with DV Cameras and/or Decks?I am having an issue Exporting the Timeline to Tape, it exports black and no audio.All of the settings are correct, using a Sony DSR-11 DVCAM Deck as well as a Panasonic DV-2030 Camcorder and it records black to both of them.It will capture and control the camera and deck just fine, just won't Export to Tape.I can open up the project in CS4 and Export to Tape to both devices just fine, so the hardware is working correctly.Just want to know if anyone is having issues or if it is working for them. Adobe Forums don't have anything about the issue there.Oh, and it's not just my machine, my friend has the same issue with CS5 on a brand new Dell i7 machine (he was having the issue first and loaned me his DSR-11 to test on my machine).

View 1 Replies View RelatedNow, just 3 days ago It started the BSOD issue.I realize that my GPU was the cause of this issue. When playing games or open 3d applications the temp goes 30C to 72C (In 15 seconds) then 82C - 85C constant (in about 30 seconds).Now I've been using MSI afterburner to check my temps and at fulload my GPU will be at 62-72C max temperature but now it's 10C even higher then before. No, I haven't fiddled with the voltage I set the GPU voltage to 1.037v which is the safest (been running this almost 8 months!). The GPU is the GTX 560ti.Is there a way to set the GPU on default settings or reset GPU settings in cmd or other professional way. I have uninstalled the drivers, uninstalling GPU, disabled GPU, disabled PCI-E slot and so on by using device manager and the issue still persist. Yes, I also have clean the GPU perfectly and still the temperature goes up to 82 seconds at 30seconds-45seconds. Yes, I have checked everything is set correctly and so on, I am a PC Tech.
Is the GPU damaged? Yes I have looked at this thread: Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try Mainly, I know its the GPU straight away, I tried checking old drivers, new drivers, another GPU overclocked software such as GPU tweak and EVGA Precision. I am thinking it's the GPU is damaged or the PCI-E is damaged (I have another PCI-E slot on my system and the issue still there). It might be the PCI-E frequency? but it's set to 100 which it meant to be, I just hope is software related because I don't have the money to buy a new card. Did the dump files help?
I have an old XP laptop which I was using Outlook Express for one of my mail accounts (a work account). I also ran regular Outlook for another (personal). I want to have both of these accounts on my new PC.
My new PC is running Windows 7 wiht Office 2007. I used the Windows transfer cable and things worked failry well. My regular Outlook files all came over well, but nothing for Outlook Express.
I really would like to take this time to somehow export my OE files into my Outlook 2007. I would really like to keep the account which imported in on Outlook seperate.
Question 1: Is there a way to import my OE files into Outlook 2007?
Question 2: Is there a way to have two seperate email accounts in Outlook without combining them? Basically I want to have a work email and a personal and keep them seperate.
If I can't have two seperate emails with Outlook, can anyone suggest something which would allow me to export my old Outlook (the old personal emails) into another program so that I can at least use my work email on Outlook 2007?

Whenever I certain gaming program run in the background (not in focus) the applications seem to shift back and forth from from "Running" and "Not Responding" almost like it constantly refreshes itself (every 3 or so seconds). However, if I keep one of those programs in focus, the problem doesn't occur as often. The task bar always seems to be moving as a result of this (almost doing a dance if I open enough programs that have this problem).I've tried updating drivers, installed all service packs, scanned computer with Malware Bytes, Norton.I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit 6.1 (7061), ATI Mobile Radeon HD 5650

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn some nights my computer works perfectly fine, I can surf the net without incident, open applications, play games etc and everything appears to be fine.Then there are the other nights (which are increasing in frequency) where the computer boots up fine but then I run into application after application which refuses to load - I will click on the application and the "loading" icon will appear on screen and then just stay there.The only way out is to cntrl-alt-delete and bring up task manager, but this can also then refuse to either load or - if it does - will not respond when I click on the first offending application in an attempt to close that down.I also noticed on the last few nights that when trying to start a particular game clicking on the icon would appear to have activated nothing - yet when I attempted to start it again I would get a message saying that I couldn't start the game until the one I had running had been shut down - but nothing appeared to be running.My computer was built in January of this year. I have regularly run disk cleanups etc and run virus checks at least once a week and nothing shows up.
