Installed Windows 7 last night. Everything seems fine except two of the screen savers – Goldfish Aquarium 2 and Marine Aquarium 2 + Time both cause the following error message to pop up when selected (and neither work):
Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author.
I have found a number of different things on the code LP5 error, but nothing specific to these two programs.
Any ideas? Anyone know how to fix this? Anyone have the same issue?
The screen saver for Win 7 HP on my DELL Laptop doesn't get activated. Even the dell tech support teacm tried to activate it remotely, but didn't succeed.
I am trying to install Windows 7 on my computer but I get is this error message:
CDBOOT: Cannot boot from CD - Code: 5
The hard drive is totally clean, formatted and ready. I been able to install the program in other machines without problem. Even, it boots in an old Pentium III, 380Mb old computer that I have for testings.
I tried the installatio connecting the hard drive on other computer capable to run Windows 7 very well, but when I put the hard drive back it does not work neither.
I really like the Sharks, Terrors Of The Deep screen saver but unfortunately it doesn't work with Windows 7. One of the main things that I liked about the screen saver was the exit on mouse move option. Since I use a wireless mouse I turned the option off so I could turn off the mouse when I want to get off the computer for a while without turning the computer off.
I have 2 XFX 7600 Gt's and I had to reinstall Windows 7 and now whenever I enable SLI my screen savers become choppy ... no matter what settings I use ... I have checked my graphics settings, my resolution, and my refresh rate. It all seems good. Any ideas?
Changing the Windows 7 screen saver is really easy. There are several screen savers included with Windows 7 and it is even possible to download new ones from the internet. Windows 7 is fully compatible with screen savers designed for Windows Vista or Windows XP. In this video we'll show you how to change your screen saver and also how to install a new one.
I have changed my graphic card (MSI N560GTX-TI) and new PSU (Corsair GS 700) and now my PC does NOT start, it gives me an error message: "error code biohd-2 warning no drives detected".Checked the cables, SATA ports, hardware diagnose, reset CMOS, removed the motherboard battery and nothing...My HD is a WD Caviar Green 2TB.
I running a dual monitor setup with an LCD monitor and a plasma tv. I want to be able to have screensavers run independently on each monitor, so if I'm doing something on the LCD, but not on the plasma, then the screensaver will start on the plasma but not the lcd. If the screensaver doesn't start then the plasma tv it will get an image burn in.
J see others have problems with screensavers in Windows 7. I'm also having problems with even the screensavers that come with windows 7. They won't load automatically. I've been using a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 and a Microsoft Keyboard connected to a USB port (not wireless) for several years with no problems and I installed the latest drivers from Microsoft. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my NVIDIA video driver. All drivers and programs are updated. I wonder if this is a problem with Winows 7?? I CAN load the screensavers manually, but this defeats the purpose of screensavers which adds some amusement and fun to an idle computer!!
I have had my vista pc and my windows 7 (basic) net book setup to let me share files (through an Netgear DG834PN Route) for around 18 months with no problems.
However as of 3 days ago I can no longer do this and non of the network tools can fined or solve the problem. I can uses the internet though my rooter, see my vista pc on the network as well as the media streaming (windows one) thing.
I can also access my net book hard drive from my pc no problem and transfer/delete files as well?
When I do try to connect the following error message is given: "Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found"
P.s. I know windows 7 basic has not create home group ability, but it worked with the one I made on vista. I can not afford to upgrade my copy of windows 7 so that is totally out of the question.
I have Windows 7, Live Mail. Mail with attachments come in with no problems, like photo attachments, but my mail will not go out with photos attached. They are not huge files. I get an error message "error/tasks" but then that screen freezes.
i have an asus notebook.it uses 64 bit os.one day when i started it a blue screen problem happened.it waits a few seconds and the pc restarts.thought it was a virus and software problem and i formatted it but still there is the blue screen.there is an error message which notes out the mindump & temp folder.what can i do?
I am a computer musician using a PC running Windows 7. My problems began when I was working on a new track in Abelton Live 8. I had a decent size project running when Abelton crashed. It was late so I just shut down my PC and went to bed. The next afternoon, everything booted up fine. I loaded Abelton and the project I was working on. As soon as the project opened I got a blue screen. I tried restarting my computer and this time Windows would not even boot. I received an error message saying BAD_POOL_CALLER. I restarted in Safe Mode and Windows was able to boot, but an error box came up saying that it could not load NVCP.dll. I contacted my computer guy and he said that file is for my NVidia drivers and that I should uninstall them, try to boot and if that worked then reinstall them with the latest version. I go into the Control Panel and try to Remove Program but the NVidia driver will not uninstall. There are 5 drivers listed for NVidia and 4 of them will uninstall by themselves, but one of them is completely unresponsive. Every time I select it and hit uninstall it just sits there and nothing happens. I tried reinstalling the drivers but it gives me an error every time it begins to unpack the zip file so I can't do that either. I've tried in both Safe Mode and Normal but I keep getting blue screen crashes as I'm trying to fix the problem.
I have a viewsonic tablet with windows 7 home premium 32bit. Would like to use the on-screen keyboard, but recently it won't load up and get an error message "Could not start on-screen keyboard"... have read through forums here, and nothing has solved so far.
My laptop stopped working suddenly and began to try to reboot but failed. I got the following error codes on a blue screen, and I have no idea what any of this means. It then went to a screen that said it would repair windows start up but it didn't and I'm just left with the blue windows screen but no icons or buttons are visible. I've tried starting in safe mode and also restart at last known good configuration but nothing works.
Every time I try to start a certain game,(Borderlands 2) I get this error screen and my computer restarts. It only does this with two games,(the other one being Saints Row 3, if it matters)every other game works fine. Is it possible to tell if it's a hardware problem by looking at the error screen? url...
It is a packard bell with windows 7, bought from a large electrical chain, so no support there -it didnt have a restore disk but I have downloaded one, and also made one from daughters laptop. I have pressd F12 and booted from downloaded disk.first i get a black screen saying windows loading. then a grey box tha says system recovery options and keyboard input method - a drop down option - i choose united kingdom and hit next.
I recently built an HTPC and it was working OK until last night. Ive been using it mainly as an OTA DVR and it does wake up,record, etc.I went to program a recording & it was already awake & the HDD indicator LED was on. However the HDTV had a black screen with a message to select boot device & press any key. This was not a BSOD but a black screen. There was no way to select anything as every time I pressed a key the same message displayed another time. I finally powered off.Another program was scheduled to record at this time but it should not have. It was a series schedule set for new but this episode was not. Thats one strike against the EPG. Anyway it started recording after I booted back up but it was missing the first 40 minutes because I booted up 40 minutes into the program.
my blue screen keeps coming up even after rebooting code aeivnv_we comes which looks like update windows 7 logo and i must go on the internet (not on the internet with this computer)can i just delete or will that screw up windows 7 and no i don't have a back up.
I recently just received a Blue Screen with an error code while watching an episode of a TV show online. The error message came up with this:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
[Code]....
I use windows 7 home premium, an XFX 750i nForce motherboard, intel q9550 processor and an EVGA GTX 460 GPU. I am also using 8Gb of wintec ampx DDR2 RAM. I am not sure what is causing this as I had just taken in my computer about a month ago for a diagnostics at tiger direct and they said everything was fine. I am going to try and run memtest tonight but am curious if anyone here knows what is causing this?
My laptop goes totally black for about 2 -3 seconds, and then completely recovers. A pop-up error message then says:"Display Driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."This has now happened several times, at random, while I'm on my laptop. Doesn't seem to matter what I'm working on at the time.
After restarting Windows 7 it gets to the login screen (the one that says "Windows 7" at the bottom) that is supposed to show the available profiles. But no profiles are shown. After about 30 seconds an error message pops up that appears to be in the "Wingdings" or some similar font. It's gibberish. I can't find any info on this anywhere.I was able to get into a command prompt by booting to the repair console thing from the Windows disc. Startup repair did nothing. I tried the fix mbr, rebuild bcd, and fix boot commands and they didn't help. I actually started getting a black screen at bootup that saied winload.exe cannot be verified. I seem to have "fixed" that but now am back at this error message. It's the oddest thing I've ever seen.It does the same with "safe mode" (minus the error message) and even with "last know good...". the cursors stays on screen and can be moved, plus every few seconds the screen flashes black very quickly. Does the error message look familiar to anyone (except for the font used of course). Note that going into the repair disc and using start-up repair did nothing.
He is running Windows 7 with a Win XP virtual machine on it as well. Sporadically when he types an email in outlook or a document in word, he will have a window that pops up over his document that looks a little bit like an Aero transparent window with a windows icon in the middle. There are no screen savers set in Win 7 or in Win XP and I cannot figure out why it would come up and why its not repeatable every time. Here is a picture.
In the last few months I have been getting error messages in my Yahoo mail account. It will not go to next email and returns an 'Error Code 5' or recently an 'Error Code 15'. It says "Sorry for the inconvenience. You have stumbled upon an unexpected, temporary problem." This happens every other email. What are these codes and why is this happening?
