I am currently getting this error message when I try to access certain page, Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error.Now I have been searching google for the answer and had no luck. Few days ago I have been able to access the page but all of a sudden I am getting this error code. I am using Chrome with windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife just bought a new DELL Inspiron N4050 laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. Connecting via our home wifi we get intermittent errors -101 ERR_CONNECTION_RESET in Chrome and Firefox. It is not site specific and sometimes a site will work, then it wont.We have 3 other computers on the same connection and have tested the same sites at the same time the error is occurring and the sites are fine on other computers, I have not seen this error in the 12 months we've had this network set up until we got the new laptop.

4. the last thing i've tried was to use the system restore as many say htat would help the problem. but when i want's to run system Restore it comes with the fatal error "0x80090067", so i cannot restore. WTF.

Windows Update is failing for some reason (I was successfully able to install 2 updates, but all of the others fail)
I am getting an "unknown error" 80070308, and while there seems to be one other reference to this on a MSFT forum, the solutions there were basically restart the update service, which doesn't work, or rename some of the Windows files... which I did as well to no avail.
Does anyone know what this error is? Or had it before?
When trying to downgrade to Quicken 2011 from Quicken 2012, the install of Q2011 forced an uninstall of Q2012. The install of Q2011 resulted in a 1402 error as follows: "could not open key: UNKNOWNcomponents9BEDFD61F780CD4ABC6F9CD0D07A42E1A545EF5512D612419987E3B C9D9C11C. While installing windows 8 i ran into an error. It said that this disk is mbr and is needed to be converted to gpt. So I tried formatting it and it saidWe couldn't create a new partition error:0xc983c160] <- googled it and no results at all.I went to cmd and tried to convert mbr to gpt manually.Gave me: Virtual drive error:This specific drive cannot be converted. Example: dvds and cds cannot be converted It is not a virtual machine,it is the real hdd.

I updated all BIOS-graphic card drivers and still no solution.
So when ever I get an update notice to update Internet explorer 9 and I try updating it, it always cancel because of some weird error that windows cant troubleshoot. I try downloading it from the Microsoft website, and it doesn't install. It says it does but I still end up with ie7. I know tootle chrome is 100x better but I have it and I think upgrading it will boost my system performance a bit.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot provide a BSOD error code/info because there was none generated; there was no BSOD. What happened was that I had a few applications open. MSN, Firefox, Opera, and Songbird are what I normally have open, and they never caused a problem before. Then I had Google Chrome open, which I do at times with no side effects, and was playing Angry Birds. The link I used to play is this one: Angry Birds Chrome, then after about an hour playing, the computer suddenly went into sleep mode. It refused to wake up. I had to force reboot it. It was able to load up just fine after that. I looked in the event logs and found nothing to determine the cause of the sudden sleep mode.
The only thing I did different is playing Angry Birds. I don't know if it being in HD had anything to do with it, or if Google Chrome just experienced a glitch that affected the entire system somehow, though I don't know the odds of that. Another thought I had was the problem was due to a storm outside. It was raining and thundering outside. A friend of mine suggested the issue may have been due to a partial power loss that was enough to knock the computer into sleep mode, but not strong enough to cause a full on power outage.

tdll.dll He gave me the option of taking a dose of Startup Repair, which he recommended, or to just try things normally and maybe it would work. I chose to take the dose.
It was scary at first i admit... at first i was told that this could take up to an hour to fix and take affect, even restarting my system a few times possibly.
All in all to my delightment, the dose took less than a minute to take affect and fix my blues...... well, so far atleast
I am experiencing a problem with Windows 7 professional, 32 bit, where I am getting an error message (detailed below) when trying to open a file with an unregistered extension. For example, if I rename a file that ends in .txt and contains text, to something with a .test extension the "Open with..." dialog never appears, and I instead get the permission denied message. AVG premium is installed, however through a combination of disabling AVG as well as providing exceptions to the file extension, I can fairly safely rule out intervention from AVG. Windows Defender is disabled, Windows UAC is disabled as well. The Windows Firewall is on, but checking the settings for the firewall suggest no issues would be coming from there.To add to the fire, if I register the .test extension to open with notepad, the file will open fine and text is displayed as expected. Also of note, I can read the file from command prompt even when the extension is not registered to an application.

I have noticed that they happen more often whenever Shockwave crashes in Chrome and does not recover. I've also noticed that I get a BSOD whenever I attempt a full scan using Spyware Doctor. Otherwise, these BSOD's really just happen wherever, whenever.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I was booting one day last week I got a nasty BSOD when Windows was trying to load. Then on the next reboot Windows 7 said it couldn't load and needed to do the recovery OS option from the Windows 7 repair on the CD. Well, before trying that I did a cold reboot and it got back into the OS fine so I didn't think much of it. Now, I noticed Ghost shows the C: drive status as "Unavailable" and it can't back it up anymore. It does give me an option to restore from one of my old backups. I'm thinking the MBR got hosed up somehow or something like that. But I'm skeptical to run an MBR repair since I have that 100MB partition on my SSD where my OS resides.
Ghost Shot> This was about a week ago my Windows 7 started acting up right before the big patch Tuesday. I've been running it for over a year now and it's been solid. When I first set it up I installed it on my SSD (Intel 510 120GB) drive. One of the qualms I had with the install is Windows created a separate boot sector on the disk drive where it stored my boot files. This is known the the "system reserved" operating system files 100MB partition. Apparently the way to avoid this is to use a third party partition tool before doing the windows install. That way it will keep the Boot sector files on the same partition which is how I would of liked it for doing restores from Ghost 15,etc. Anyway, ghost was backing up my system C: drive before last week. I have yet to even try and use Ghost to see if it would successfully restore my OS but I've been using it to backup my C: drive anyways. Prior to last week it could backup my C: drive fine. I might try a Ghost restore point from a few weeks back before this happened but not sure yet[CODE]
i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?

So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a toshibio satelite model # psc16c02q00m, I've tried to reformat my computer, i have the back up Disk and when i started my computer i press F12 to get the boot bios where i made it boot from disk putting my back up cd#1 into there. it was working fine till i put in disk three, from there i got a F3-F200-002 Error said an error has occurred please press OK to turn off the computer. and that is the only option. ive tried repeating the process but now all i get to is this screen even when i try to but off the hard drive im assuming my windows has been cleaned.

-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Windows 7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).

All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work.
