English Win 7 Key + German Install Disks, Will It Work ?
I have an OEM version of Win 7 Pro (English) currently installed on my system. I am currently upgrading my Motherboard and CPU, building another system with the old parts. As the recipients of my old setup are German, the OS needs to be in German for them also.
Here is my dilemma. When I pickup a new copy of Win 7 it will be in German (as I am living in Germany). They need a German instillation of 7 and my current OEM key is locked to the old motherboard. Will I be able to use that English OEM key with a German instillation, then use the new German key with my current English disks?

Will Product Key For Win 7 64 Bit Business Upgrade Work With 32 Bit Install
I purchased several copies of Windows7 including the upgrade offer deal from Microsoft for Business. The upgrade CD came as a 64 bit which I will eventually install on my machine, but for the next several months I need to run 32 bit (legacy software which we are phasing out). Will the product key for the the 64 bit upgrade work with 32 bit install (I have a 32 bit Business which I have already installed on a different machine with its own product key).

Activate English Version With Spanish Version Key
I am buying a new PC in Spain but want Windows 7 Home Premium in English, which does not seem to be available anywhere here. So my techie guy is downloading an English version (pirate???) and at same time buying a genuine Spanish version. He says he will then use the key code from the Spanish pack to validate the English version. Is this possible, and could I encounter any problems later? How can I be 100% sure (before I leave the shop!) that I have a validated, genuine English version of Windows 7 that will continue to work indefinitely?

Keyboard Does Not Work After Install Win 7
On 10/25 I downloaded Windows 7 and it turned out to be a big mistake. I lost all of my files except for the ones I put on my flash drive (now I will take the blame for this part because I did not know I had to back-up my stuff) I thankfully still had my office 2007 disc and at first. I was able to use office 2007 without the product key, but I just now retrieved my product key from the office team but it seems to be to late for it will no longer ask me for it and no longer allow me to use Office at all [it will load up but will not allow to type anything]. The worst part about this is that I am taking online classes at University of Phoenix and cannot do my work. Another major problem is that my (C) drive is completely full now and I do not have room for anything outside of Adobe and Office.Â

Can A Win 7 N Key Be Used To Install On Non-N Media ?
I have non-N keys and N keys. There are options to download non-N media and N media. I've already downloaded the non-N media, so can I use N keys on the non-N media or will I need to download the N media just to find out? I know the difference between the two being the non-inclusion of WMP and the whole story about the EU, etc.. Just wondering if I can use my N keys on the non-N ISO I have here.

Will Student Win 7 Pro 32-bit Key Work For 64-bit Later ?
My niece, who's in college ordered and downloaded Windows 7 Professional (one 32-bit and one 64-bit) from win741.com (Microsoft/Digital River deal for students only). I'm going to be installing this on her laptop (currently on Vista 32-bit going to ---> 7 Pro 32-bit), and her desktop (currently on Vista 32-bit going to ---> 7 Pro 64-bit via a clean custom install) this weekend. I'm also upgrading her desktop to 8GB of RAM since she uses this for Photoshop 64-bit and needs the extra memory for the times when she has several RAW D-SLR files and files with multiple layers open. Hence, the reason why we're using 64-bit on that desktop. We stayed with 32-bit on the laptop because they have old printers at her college that don't have 64-bit drivers, so to save her the hassle of incompatible drivers, we stayed with 32-bit on her laptop since it only has 2 GB of RAM. My Question is: If she decides to upgrade her RAM on her laptop later to 6GB, can she then use the 64-bit Windows 7 Pro installation (clean install of course) files she downloaded for her Desktop PC, but still continue to use the key she was given when she ordered & downloaded the 32-bit version?  I know this is possible with the Family Pack which provides 32-bit and 64-bit install CDs and just one key. Is the same possible for the student $30 download deal she got?

Guide Use A USB Key To Install Win 7
Putting the Windows 7 installation on a USB thumb drive has a few advantages—a small USB key is much more convenient for carrying around than a DVD, the OS will actually install much faster, and you can use a USB key to install Windows 7 on systems that do not have a DVD drive, such as a netbook. In fact, you can even install Windows 7 on netbooks that have fairly modest hardware. Here’s a quick look at the process: First, you’ll need the DiskPart utility on the system you will use to prep the thumb drive. This is a free disk partitioning utility that is likely already installed on your Windows system. If not, you can download DiskPart here Launch the DiskPart utility by typing diskpart at the Start Menu. Then run the list disk command to check the status of your drive. Now run select disk 1 where the "1" is actually the corresponding number of your USB drive. Run clean. Once the thumb drive is clean, you can run create partition primary. Now make the partition active by entering active Then you need to set up the file system as Fat32 by running format fs=fat32 quick (quick, of course, specifies that you want to perform a quick format to speed up the process). Entering the assign command gives the USB drive a drive letter, making it easy to access from Windows Explorer Then you can copy everything from the Windows 7 installation DVD onto the USB key (a simple drag and drop will do). Now you can insert the thumb drive into the system you want to install Windows 7 onto and boot the system. The installation will now proceed as usual—but faster.

Win 7 Support Of Dynamic Disks
I understand there will be a preorder of Windows 7 comming out, but I haven't found informaiton on which version(s) will support Dynamic disks? Background: I had Vista 64 Home Premium and installed Windows 7 (now RC) after adding two 1.5 TB drives which I wanted to run stipped. I couldn't get Dynamic disk to function in Home Prenium and from what I read on the web, I needed Ultamate. Windows 7 was available and worked. The public betas are only Ultimate, so it's dificlut to determine what functionality is lost on other versions. I haven't found a detailed feature list that indicates which versions will support Dynamic disks (Supersite for Windows, searching Microsoft forums).

Can I Use OEM Win 7 HP Product Key To Install 64-bit OS Off Of Retail Disc ?
I purchased in June a new computer from Dell with a free upgrade to Windows 7. Â I wanted 64-bit but was not given the option. Â I received my 32-bit upgrade disc from Dell. My brother purchased a retail upgrade and so he has both 32-bit and 64-bit upgrade discs. Â I know that I must do a clean install. Â I want to know if I can use his 64-bit disc to run my install but then use my upgrade key from Dell. So in the end I have 64-bit OS using my product key that Dell gave me.

Can I Install Win 7 X32 Bit Then Later To Win 7 X64 Bit With Same Licence Key ?
I currently run Windows XP x32 bit Operating System. I have ordered the "full retail" version of Windows 7. I understand that 2 discs will be enclosed in the box, one for installing Windows 7 x32 bit and the other for installing Windows 7 x64 bit. I understand that I need to choose whether I want the x32 bit or x64 bit Windows 7 Operating System and install the 1 I choose at that point. I am quite happy with that. However, what I would like to do is initially install the Windows 7 x32 bit system and in about 6 months (when I have upgraded my hardware sufficiently) then move on to the x64 bit Windows 7 Operating System.  Can I do this with the same 1 licence that comes with the full retail version I have just ordered or will I need to buy another copy of Windows 7 ? It would not bother me if I had to do a "clean install" to move from x32 bit to x64 bit.

32 Bit To 64 - Will The Key Work ?
I recently went to a Microsoft event where I received a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. I am wondering if the Key would be good for a 64 bit version. I would rather have the 64bit, want to download that version and use the Key from the 32bit version. Can it be done?

Activation Key Will Not Work
I was installing the Windows 7 RC yesterday and skipped the activation key section, knowing that I could enter it again afterward and activate. That was a mistake; I woke up this morning and the computer had set its date to the year 7990 and was quite upset because it's pre-release version had expired. I changed the date back, of course. I tried entering in my product key using the "Activate Windows" section, and it just jumped straight to "This pre-release version of windows has expired." So, I tried doing an upgrade install over it again so that I could enter the new product key. I entered it in this time during installation, and it still is whining that the copy of windows is not genuine, even if I try using the "Change Product Key" section or the console command that someone suggested here. Help? Is this going to require a fresh install?

Upgrade Xp In Other Language Than English
I am a XP user in Holland, so I used Dutch as a language for my computer. I know I could use the English, but so it is. I tried to upgrade my computer to Windows7, but it says that an other language is not possible. When I read the dixtionary files online then I red that it is still possible with some extra actions. Is this true or do I red it wrong?
