Greetings, windows 7(64) are unable to find or myself drivers for my crypto hybrid pci tv tuner.i was wondering if there is a way to make the device to work under win7. Mobo is p5b-e.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI need urgent help because after my AVAST free 30-days trial ended,my machine has starting going backwards.I've downloaded MSE (microsoft security essentials) and tried to install it,but it comes up with:ERROR CODE=0x8004FF01 (which means Windows Installer cant be started/accesded) I've also tried with AVG but it comes up with= The WIS could not be accesed. This can occur if the WSI is not properly installed. But,people,problem is I GOT WIS UP AND RUNNING,I can see it the services tab.I suspect that is a Virus or a missing file.I also tried doing the following things to no avail
-System restore.
-SFC SCANNOW
-Chkdsk.
-Malwarebytes says there is nothing (malware).
-Full scan avast says there is nothing.
All said that the operation was successful but it stills comes up with the same error.
I fear using my GMAIL,HOTMAIL and PAYPAL accounts because I dont know if they will get "stolen" Know Im starting to think who was the one responsible for this...

But yesterday when i wanted to watch a dvd my cd drive didnt work. i put it in but ni response but it in again and again no response. looked in "Computer" but it didnt show any cd drives. Only A: and c: (a: was a floppy drive which i dont have :s)
Do you know if this is a driver problem and how i need to fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a PC running Windows 7 with 3 HDs(not partition, different HDs).2) I used Windows 7 to create an image of the OS HD(C and placed it in D.3) I used the image once or twice so I know it's a god image, and it's notcorrupted.4) Lately I've been having performence/computer-gets-stuck-issues and Iuspected the HD(C because my RAM is fine, and finally windows alreted my that that HDis failing.(plus, I can hear "ticks" of the HD's nittle trying to read whenever the computer got frozen for a sec or two.5) I replaced the HD that was C: with a new one, and installed Windows 7 again.6) Tried to restore using the image and the recorery system said that it needs to formatthe drive that it's on(makes sense) and ordered me to perform the restore throughthe windows installation disk,7)I did. but I get a similiar error that ordered me to restore with an image but using a windowsinstallation disk(and I got to this error using the instllation disk)How can I make the image work?the only problem I can see is that the image was taken off a a different HD

Start Windows Normally. But when I go to the second option it does not work and just goes to the first option and that itself doesn't work either.

And so thats what I did, but since this is not Vista, it makes the wallpaper black and stays that way, but when i restart it, it screen gets messy, and I had to System Restore. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 (64 bit) on Samsung RV520 - it's a new laptop, I got it about 5 weeks ago. The problem is that after the computer wakes up from sleep mode, the Internet connection is lost and the Network and Sharing Center is not responding at all. Sometimes it does not detect any networks (neither the cable one nor the wifi connection), sometimes it recognizes them but gives "cannot connect" message, sometimes it says I'm connected, but nothing Internet-related works anyway. Either way, every time my laptop goes into sleep mode and I want to access Internet, I have to restart the system, and well.. this is rather annoying.
It's not about the Intenet provider, since on the roommate's laptop all the connections work perfectly fine.
I have realtek ALC898, part of gigabyte Z77 UD5h mobo, windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Rear jack speakers always work, sound always works. But after sleep, the front panel audio jack does not work, ie headphones silent.
Workaround 1) go to device manager, disable realtek high definition audio, then enable it, then front panel audio jack works properly. workaround 2) restart the computer and it works again.
I tried disabling sleep and using hibernate, since I read somewhere that hibernate is like a restart, but apparently it is not. Using hibernate, once it resumes from hibernate, front jack still doesnt work just like using sleep mode.
It sounds like resuming from sleep mode or hibernate mode, that windows 7 is failing to reinitialize some of the realtek audio drivers, at least those associated with front panel audio jack for headphones. So have to restart or disable/enable realtek high def audio in device manager. I have most recent realtek drivers, tried both from realtek, and most recent from Gigabyte, both have same issue. My windows 7 is fully up to date.
Am I right in this is just failure of 7 to reinitialize some drivers?
My Windows 7 randomly entering sleep mode and not waking up. I've found one of the things that can fix it is to disable hybrid sleep. However, I can't see that option. My account is automatically set as administrator so I should beable to see the "Change the unavailable power settings" option but I don't.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to migrate Windows 7 to a new 250G Seagate Hybrid SSD.I used Clonezilla to clone the three parititions (the main C: drive with Windows, the 100M hinden drive and the recovery drive - don't know if this is HP specific?). The cloning worked fine. I then disconnect the original HDD and restarted. When the PC boots from the new hybrid drive - it just has the flashing cursor in the top left hand corner of the screen? I've tried running the Windows repair disk several times - it did some work but to no effect. It did though recognise the partition where Windows was and labled it C:.Every time I boot from the disk it just gives me the flashing cursor in the top corner of the screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased Dell Inspiron i14z Ultrabook, it has a hybrid SSD, it have 32gb SSD and the rest 470gb hard drive. It had Windows 8 and I couldn't stand it...I changed the BIOS settings from Intel Smart Response to AHCI, used Wipe Drive, (which detected the hybrid SSD as two separate hard drives) to format both hard drives, installed Windows 7 on the 32gb Hard Drive (I assume this is the SSD part), and everything went great.But when I click MyComputer, it only shows 32GB as my hard drive, how do I set the settings where it would show the rest of the hard drive that is not SSD?Whenever I change the AHCI setting back to Intel Smart Response Technology, it gives me a brief Blue Screen of Death briefly, then restarts in a loop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my laptop, the drive is encrypted with TrueCrypt and I don't know whether it is better to have my PC set to sleep, hibernate or hybrid sleep when I close the lid. I kind of want the fastest, but most secure option though.
Also, in the TrueCrypt options menu it says Auto dismount when entering power saving mode. Is that sleep? And is dismounting when it encrypts it again?
I recently purchased a new Alienware m14x r2 which came with windows 8 single language, English pre installed. However I want to replace the hdd with a newer hybrid drive, can I create a recovery disk and reinstall the os on the new hdd? I have created 5 recovery DVDs.

View 7 Replies View RelatedJust upgrade my server with a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H mobo and a G630T processor. Installed Windows 7 Ultimate. For some reason I don't see the options for hybrid sleep or hibernate in advanced power options menu. Generally, I believe they are supposed to be under sleep in the advanced menu but only "Sleep After" and "Allow wake timers" are present in the menu. I haven't upgraded to a new mobo in years and in my old mobo there was an option to enable S3 sleep. This mobo has options to enable wake timer, WOL, and a couple of others but nothing to disable to enable hybrid sleep. My system seems to still go to sleep ok but the lack of the two options seems odd to me and wanted to see if anyone possibly had a similar problem.

Whenever I try to put my notebook in sleep mode everything works ok, also normally waking up the system.
But when I disconnect the power cord and restart the system, Windows tries to resume its state but suddenly stops with a black screen and a blinking cursor.
I have absolutely no problems with normal sleep and normal hibernate (shutdown -h).
For a short time hybrid sleep worked only when I put the system to sleep with the notebook FN keys, but not through the Win start menu.
Now it doesn't work at all. Maybe this was also just a coincidence.
Can anyone help me?
I use Windows 7 Pro x64 in my Car PC.Hybrid Sleep is enabled, because my CarPC-PSU only keeps up the 5V rail for 18 Hours. After that the power is shut down.When I wake the PC from standby (within the 18 hours), everything works fine. Windows responds within a few seconds.If the PC has been put to standby and the PSU shuts down the 5V rail, the startup from hybrid sleep/hibernate is extremely slow. It takes approx. 5 minutes before I can use Windows again.What's strange is: When I put the PC to sleep/hibernate manually and boot it up again, everything is MUCH faster. Normal hibernate boot I'd guess.Only when the PC initially was put to hybrid standby and power cutted off it boots that slow.I can replicate the same behaviour on my Desktop PC.

-Boot from manual Hibernation: Normal

I recently purchased a new system (about 2 weeks ago) but I've noticed my 64bit software is only able to use 10 of 12GB installed.When I look at the system properties I see windows recognizes 12GB RAM installed but sais only 10GB of it is available.Any thoughts? I paid lots of money for my RAM so I'm not really considering this a luxery problem (When I startup it sais the memory frequency is 1066. Not sure if this is useful)I'm not really thinking a faulty stick because windows recognizes al sticks.
