I was looking at Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600mhz Vengeance Memory Module CL9.. It looks great my mother board is a gigabyte 880gm-ud2h I'm currently only running 1333 dims and I was wondering would it be able to run a 2gb corsair value 1333mhz moduel and a vengence 1600mhz?

Motherboard: ASUS MA578L-M/USB3 PSU: ALPINE 700W
RAM: Corsair XMS3 2x2GB 1600MHz 1.65V
GPU: Gainward nVidia GTX 550Ti 1GB / 192bit Golden Sample (also knows as "GS")
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz / 8MB Cache
HEAT-SINK: Coolermaster Vortex Plus CPU Cooler
DVD driver: Pioneer DVR-S19LBK which is LightScribe as well
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F1 don't know which model exactly but spec. > 1TB / 7200RPM /3Gbps.
From the very beginning I had Windows XP 32bit (and of course all of my 4gigs didn't worked, and also I've been suffering sound delay eg. you've been shot and you see that but you'll hear it in about 2 seconds, so NOT GOOD) then I went on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits (note that I haven't got a speakers JUST > HEADPHONES) so it solved the problem with RAM's (I can use all of them properly now) and I am happy with that, but it was annoying to be sitting all the time on the headphones, so I bought "Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers BRAND NEW ones. And the story began from that moment. I started to be hearing weird sounds and the sound takes a half of a second like "popping/clicking or beeping" or I don't know how it would be called like"..So I tried to bring whole motherboard back to the shop where I bought them, left it to them..After a couple of days I'm back and got told like "the thermal paste was on cpu's socket and cpu's pins "SOMEHOW" ?!?!?....got told again that I could choose that "Motherboard would be sent to ASUS supplier to clean the socket", but CPU I needed to clean my self but the guy was not too sure about my cpu's life and will it work properly or I don't know.. So it is sent now "the MOTHERBOARD" but I've been told to wait for it for another 28 days to get it back, but I couldn't wait for that much and I bought another one, exactly the same one I got sent but just BRAND NEW ONE. So brought home, CLEANED CPU TO THE CONDITION AS IT WAS NEW, added a bit of thermal paste on the surface of cpu, inserted everything onto they belonged positions "ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING AS IT SHOULD BE" = GOT THE SAME POPPING SOUND.....Well then I tried my friend's exactly the same cpu as I have "AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition etc." = SAME POPPING SOUND..So I'm getting to the conclusion that I need to check "THE RAM MODULES" Cause: NEW MOTHERBOARD SAME CPU *friend's one is doing the same popping sounds as my one (I've even tried my cpu on friend's computer and it goes well just 110% well as it should be")

View 2 Replies View Relatedwell at first the screen would freeze, only thing i could do is restart the machine via the switch. Ive updated all the drivers i can, even updated the bios version. But everything i seem to do is making it worse now im having alot of non responsive programme's. Games are freezing up and staying froze for 30+ seconds then work for about 5 minutes and freeze again, sometimes fully stopping

Working with : ASUS M4A87TD EVO - BIOS version 2001 (latest) RAM - Corsair DDR3 4x4GB CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 (CPU-z says max bandwith is 667Mhz) Never had an issue until the day I changed the BIOS settings for the RAM to operate at 1600mhz. Playing CS GO and eep getting random crashes or freezes that send me through the reset cycle. requency is set at 1600Mhz and Timing row is set at 41 like it should be. Voltage stays the same 1.50V --->1.500V - wondering if setting the voltage to 1.65Vthats something I should stay away from. Rechecked made sure I had latest Bios, reflashed just to be on the safe side and still am having issues. I know there are no error screens or any sort of overheating going on, checked components and updates. all is in the green.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHopefully not the wrong category, but there was nothing related to headsets, so I made a best guess. I got a Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset a while back, and have been having issues with them ever since. The first headset was RMA'd, and then the second was as well due to an issue where randomly the sound would just cut out. The headsets were still on (the mic loopback system would work), and even recognized as being plugged in by Windows, but I could hear absolutely nothing from my computer. The only temporary fix thus far is to unplug the headset, then plug it back in. After contacting Corsair again, they just had me RMA the headset again without any sort of explanation. After less than a day of use, the same issue has just occurred. Now either I am just unlucky as all hell and this headset is somehow broken too, or the issue is related to my system.I have no idea what the problem is, and have yet to find anything helpful online. I've tried reinstalling drivers and switching USB ports, but to no avail.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am currently running core i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz at 1.34v and while running intel burn test I reach up to 80C and the idle is around 45-50. My ambient temp is around 23c-25c
As for the H60 it is running how it should at full pump speed so i duno if its just me or the temps are little too high. I tested with a cheap 15 pound heat sink and fan I was getting the same temp so what real advantage is this achieving

View 1 Replies View RelatedRig crashed due to a failed PSU --> Replaced with new Corsair AX1200 and now the Win 7 Ultimate 64bit is not recognizing the 12 gb Corsair Dominators (shows only 4 gb). I've searched the forums for this issues and the common responses was - to go to BOOT Advanced Options and uncheck the maximum memory. The Dominators are fine because they are detected by CPU ID. The MOBO is only showing 4 gb as well. I tried the 12 gb memory modules in a friends computer and it works fine!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my new Kingston 128GB SSDNow V200 (SV200S37A/128G) and Asus M2N32-Sli Deluxe motherboard.The CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ and I also have connected a Palit 9500GT graphics card via the primary PCI-E slot, PSU is Enermax 485W.I have the whole setup with a traditional hard drive working just fine in Windows XP Professional 32-Bit with SP3, what I am trying to do is switch over to using the new SSD with a fresh install of Win 7 Ult X64.The problem I am having is freezing/hanging when either on "Expanding WIndows Files" at 80% or usually on "Installing Features", either the cursor won't move or the dots next to "Installing Features" stop moving completely.. and I can just leave it for hours and nothing happens.

I purchased a Dell laptop last May with 64-bit Vista. A number of web design and graphics apps I use were not fully functional on that OS, so I downgraded to the 32-bit Vista.
I now plan to upgrade that laptop to Windows 7.
Does anyone have any idea if the compatibility mode selections in Windows 7 64-bit will allow me to run more 32-bit applications than on Vista? I would like to take advantage of the extra RAM on my system, but not at the expense of applications not having full functionality.
I welcome any insights anyone can offer before I do the OS installation.
Has Microsoft made significant changes in Windows 7 with respect to MP4 video compatibility, specifically in Power-point? I have been able to easily insert and play MP4 video files in ppt 2007 on my 7 OS, but the same files will not work on my other PC running XP with ppt 2007.

I'm planning on buying a storage drive, probably a 1.5TB drive. The new ones, mostly WD for now, have a new partitioning system and require a WD utility or Windows 7. I don't have it yet but might upgrade my Quad Core machine to Windows 7. I have an older laptop that has XP. It's not really powerful enough to bother installing 7 on it so it will remain an XP machine.
I will write to the new HDD from both computers. I guess I would format the new storage drive to NTFS format from Windows 7. (Or I could use the WD utility from XP?). There won't be any issues, right? Windows 7 NTFS is similar enough to XP NTFS?
If I got Windows 7, I think I wouldn't go any higher than Home Premium. I think there are utilities out there to obtain the XP Mode if I needed it. I just need to confirm that both operating systems can write to a NTFS-formatted storage drive with no issues. It will store video files, music files, documents, .exe files or program files but nothing installed; it's just for storage.

I am using safari 4 right now in 32 bit and i thinks it´s working pretty good. But when i re install i want a browser that´s 64 bit compatible.

Some of the latter can be attributed to patches put out but the game companies, and some can be attributed to the inclusion in Windows 7 missing components necessary to fulfill the total gaming experience of certain games.
That being said, there are now 2 lists to work with - the other list has been changed to a Pre-release list (and un-stickied), and this is now the official repository of games that work with the RTM. Read more at the forum...

Currently I'm trying to upgrade the system with Win Xp Home. It has a Gigabyte AMD AM2 Socket (GA-M57 SLI-S4) motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+, 4 GB of ram and a Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS soundcard.
I ran the windows 7 upgrade adviser on the computer and then someone suggest I also run the vista upgrade adviser as well. On both it is telling me that there is a problem with "Windows Aero Support". I've seen lots of posts stating it will run on their video card but I have not seen anything on mine and need to know if I can upgrade to Win 7 Home Premium without a problem. My video card is a NVidia Geforce 7900 GTX. Does anyone know if that card will work with Win 7?
Then also it is telling me that my D-Link DWA-130 Wireless USB adapter is a problem. I went to their website and they have Vista drivers but not Win 7. Someone suggested not downloading the D-Link drivers but downloading the vista drivers and that it would work. I have little knowledge regarding Win 7 and therefore didn't know if this was good advice or bad advice on downloading the vista drivers. Is anyone here using this wireless adapter successfully with Win 7?
Last it mentions that it is not compatible with the Creative Game Port. I don't know if this is something that is downloaded with my Gigaabyte motherboard recovery disc. I don't think it was something I installed but not sure. AS far as I know it is not something I'm using so it doesn't matter if it isn't compatible (at least I think it's not). I didn't know if anyone knew about this.
I'm hoping anyone that has experience with any of this hardware will let me know if it is compatible with Win 7 before I upgrade it only to find it is compatible to upgrade.
Question: When Windows 7 says "This program has known compatibility issues", is it basing it on an analysis of what the program is doing, or is it consulting a list of programs?
So far, I have encountered this with DaemonTools (even though their site claims it's Windows 7 compatible), ZoneAlarm, and Adobe Reader (version 7 - I don't know why that's the latest one I can download fresh from their site, because I know version 9 is out). I've gone ahead and used Adobe Reader because I needed it and it seemed to work okay, but I didn't want to chance it with something like ZoneAlarm that is going to attach itself deep into the OS.
Any advice?

View 0 Replies View RelatedA friend asked me to setup her new Windows 7 Home Premium machine and her old Dell Dimension 4700 with windows xp. She bought a Belkin FLIP USB with audio to accomplish this somewhat, however the windows 7 pc seems to be causing issues as far as i can tell. At random times the keyboard will not switch during a flip but you can flip again and it corrects.
It also would sometimes get the KB/mouse on one computer and the monitor on the other, which was not fixable by her. The only solution being to fully unplug the KVM and let it power down for a few seconds and then rehook it up to the running PCs. She's not really prepared to do that for a KVM that should be simple.
Belkin's website does not claim compatibility with Windows 7 or 64bit, so can anyone recommend a KVM that has "fully" compatible drivers for Windows 7 64bit? The belkin flip will generally work with a little troubleshooting despite it not being supported on win7 64, but she doesn't want to do "any troubleshooting" and just wants it to work all the time.
