Sounds Keeps Cutting Out On Vengeance 1500 Headset?
Oct 26, 2012
Hopefully not the wrong category, but there was nothing related to headsets, so I made a best guess. I got a Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset a while back, and have been having issues with them ever since. The first headset was RMA'd, and then the second was as well due to an issue where randomly the sound would just cut out. The headsets were still on (the mic loopback system would work), and even recognized as being plugged in by Windows, but I could hear absolutely nothing from my computer. The only temporary fix thus far is to unplug the headset, then plug it back in. After contacting Corsair again, they just had me RMA the headset again without any sort of explanation. After less than a day of use, the same issue has just occurred. Now either I am just unlucky as all hell and this headset is somehow broken too, or the issue is related to my system.I have no idea what the problem is, and have yet to find anything helpful online. I've tried reinstalling drivers and switching USB ports, but to no avail.
One night watching online tv sound disappeared and then few second later came back.So now I am getting random times where sound just cuts out for 2 - 40 seconds, This happens when watching movies, playing games, listening to music and ect.I got a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI Express Sound card and my on-board sound chip is disabled and I got Logitech 5.1 x-540 Surround systemI've done some tests when the sound cut off I plugged the audio cable to on-board chip(Enabled it for the test) and then the sound card but they both had no sound. So I am guessing its not hardware issue. I did nu-installed old drivers and installed new ones but they haven't fixed the issue.
My Speakers and Internal Speakers along with the Microphones are screwing up.This problem only started today, I haven't got a clue why and I haven't changed any settings whatsoever, Everything was working fine until one moment they weren't.I've gone into Sound to try and fix the issue, I set my Sounds as Default for the headset, and I still have them playing through both, and I did the same for the Microphone, only on that one.In Playback Devices, Speakers / Headphones is one and Communication Headphones is another, even if I disable the first, I can't get the second as Default for both, it won't let me have Default Device for only the Communication Headphones.Under Recordcing it's much the same issue except the first one is Internal Mic, it's allowed me to put the Microphone / Line In as Default, except it won't pick up sounds from the Mic, only the Internal Mic even if it's not enabled.
I was looking at Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600mhz Vengeance Memory Module CL9.. It looks great my mother board is a gigabyte 880gm-ud2h I'm currently only running 1333 dims and I was wondering would it be able to run a 2gb corsair value 1333mhz moduel and a vengence 1600mhz?
My computer has "No sounds" as the Control Panel/Sounds choice. It still makes a "boing" noise at odd times happens as well. Neither of these sounds are among the Windows Media .wav sounds. I did a search for .wav and listened to every .wav on my computer. The boing isn't one of them. Anyone else have this problem?

I tried to exchange the 40GB disc for a 1500GB seagate barracuda 7200.11 disc but the Dell Optiplex gx620 doesn't recognize it. I installed the latest Bios A11 from Dell but it still doesn't recognize it. I mounted a 750GB Samsung drive and no problem. Is there a limit on the drive size in this computer?
So im unable to create any new profiles without them getting the: user profile failed at login. I've tried the fix on microsoft website by going into safe mode and doing the regisrer fix but I've had no luck.

Error: "The system cannot find the file specified". System restore doesn't work and I can't do a repair install as I have service pack 1 and cant remove it because I removed the temp files it requires to uninstall.
I have a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition, 32bit version. For some reason I cannot get the laptop to run in "normal" mode. It runs in SAFE mode and I can surf the Internet and all, but it won't run in "normal" mode. When I try to run in "normal" mode the computer just hangs up, and won't connect to the Internet, when I click on ANY browser.
i have a logitech g110 keyboard i just bought and it has the ability to plug in my usb headphones directly to the keyboard for audio. i'm currently using a set of turtle beach earforce x11's.the audio is perfect while playing games, but when i revert to just websurfing, specifically Internet, the audio will cut out after a few seconds and i have to constantly keep enabling/disabling the "playback devices" to get it to work again. it is extremely annoying.is there something i can do to get this to stop cutting out? i went through control panel and made sure all the usb pnp drivers are up to date, and they are.
For a little while now, completely randomly it would seem, the USB ports on the back of my PC will seemingly cut in and out indefinitely until I do a restart.
If the devices that were plugged into the back USB ports are switched to the USB ports on the front of the case, there isn't a problem at all.
I'm almost certain that the problem is not with my mouse and keyboard as like I said, plugged into the front they work fine.
In our company i made a securities that the employee could na install any apps etc... this is my setup... i go to group policy editor then user configuration/administrative template/system/run only specified windows application.I enable the run only specified windows application with the apps that i want to run in that computer.
Lately the computers in my house have been having an issue maintaining a stable Internet connection. Our setup is the typical cable modem -> wireless router -> computers. We can connect to the wireless network no problem (always with the "Internet Access" icon as well), but typically pages cut in and out. This will happen once or twice a day out of nowhere, and last for a while.
The cable modem lights indicate nothing unusual. Resetting the wireless router doesn't seem to make a difference. I've picked an optimal channel. I'll be trying plugging an ethernet cable into the router later today to see if that works.
I'm not sure if it's the router or the cable modem causing the issue, or sure how to determine which it is. I don't mind buying a new one of either, but I'd rather not buy both
The volume on my hp 5260f Windows 7 starting cutting in and out. Ive used it with no problem for over ayear. Tried a system restore and all the fix it tools. Today it has no sound at all and the device manager says everything ok. Is it time for a new sound card?
First time building a new pc. A new motherboard, new dvd/rw ram, old hard drive. I used the old case from my old computer - power supply was already connected so did not change it. System boots up fine but when I start to install windows computer shuts off. I have a seagate hd so I downloaded seagate tool and wiped the hardrive because I was thinking that may be the problem. Tried to install windows again computer cuts off. Whet in and checked the ram using windows.
My Epson xp-400 printer is cutting off the top section of my text. I've already reloaded the utilities and drivers, cleaned the nozzles and the heads. It has new Epson ink cartridges, and no error messages. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what's wrong? it is on a wireless network.
Today, I noticed my laptop seems to come on whenever I open it. It then cuts off before starting fully. A startup repair program ran a couple of times and the laptop now lasts longer while on. However, when I turn it off, it starts automatically when it is opened. I ran malwarebytes and zone alarm with no effect. I then ran RKill and it stopped 3 programs.
Processes terminated by Rkill or while it was running: C:\Windows\sysWow64\SearchProtocolHost.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Common\Google Updater\GoogleUpdaterService.exe C:\Users\Oshodi\AppData\Local\Temp\IswTmp\DwlRun\eXplorer.exe
I am re running the malwarebytes now. I am running a Windows 7 ultimate on a sony vaio.
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro C650 01301J laptop running Windows 7 Professional 32Bit. I try and listen to music either through spotify or simply using my library of music in Windows Media Player, however after a while the audio cuts out. It isnt muted in mixer and the song keeps playing as if nothing has happened, except I cant hear anything. This is fixed when I mute and unmute or turn the volume up or down using the fn keys. When I first start up the music it will take 5 minutes or so before it happens, however once it starts it will cut out every 10 seconds or so.
My audio driver is Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD version 4.119.0.61. I have tried deleting this and reinstalling it, downloading an older driver and updating it. It tells me it is the latest driver but its still not solved the problem.
Is there another driver I could try or perhaps a program that is causing it?
I have a 128b SSD with everything on it. I also have a blank 160gb hard drive that i would like to use for a lot of programs that won't benefit from SSD speed. However, when i try to take things like "Windows Portable Devices" or "Windows Sidebar" from the program files and paste it into the Hard drive, i get a message saying "you need permission to perform this action"
I have strange freezing problems on my Asus N82JQ laptop. When playing most games and watching movies their will be freezing and/or audio problems with audio cutting in and out. Whats truly strange is by running a scan on malware bytes the problems seem to go away and then immediatly return after the scan completes. I have updated my drivers, ran countless different anti-virus programs and searched throughout google yet I still have no solution.
Something very strange has started happening in Windows Explorer. When I cut and paste image files into different folders, it does copy everything but for some reason, a few tmp files are being created as well. Every time I copy stuff, I have to delete about 5-6 of them.Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? It's started in the past few months and I've been hoping it would stop but it hasn't.
As my Sony vaio VGN was rather cluttered, I decided to do a total system restore to factory settings. So I hit f10 at startup and went to the vaio recovery console, and chose the recover complete system option.
It goes fine up until 95%, and then just goes no further. The CPU and battery light also turn off completely at this point, but the screen still stays on and I can move the mouse and such like.
There are no error messages or anything like that. I've tried it 3 times now, and the same thing happens.
