Computer In An Endless Loop?

Recently, I was on my computer (A Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5974. Approx 2.5 years old) when it started to shut down with the famous blue error screen. As annoying as this was, it wasn't a big deal. No, the big deal started when my computer started acting up. It took longer and longer for it to boot to the desktop, sometimes even a half hour because I had to keep manually turning it off in on in order to get a response. Now my computer won't even go past the "Starting Windows" screen.

Whenever it finishes updating stage it restarts and acts like nothing ever installed, this has happened 4 times already and my system drive is already 40Gb fun, win7 is NOT 40Gb

I 'got' windows 7 home premium 64 bit edition, went through the install, got to completing installation, then just as it finished it told me some error involving it being unable to do something with a certain piece of system hardware. I don't remember the exact message.Now it's just restarting and telling me that windows failed to install, and that I should press ok to restart.

I have had Windows 7 64bit Pro on my computer for around 10 months. I use an Upgrade version through my University that works exactly like a normal copy of Windows 7. I have had no problems with it until now. When I start it up normally and choose Windows 7 (I also have Windows XP pro on my computer) and after about 10 seconds my computer automatically restarts. I tried the Repair My Computer option 3 times and the Last Known Good Configuration twice with no success. When I start it up in Safe Mode, 7 works for about three seconds and then goes to a Blue Screen before restarting.I honestly do not know what is wrong with my computer. I have checked all of the internal connections and there doesn't appear to be anything unplugged or messed up with them in general.

I was recently using my girlfriends computer when a message came up saying something about an automatic update then went into a repair mode. Then when the computer restarted it went into startup repair. It says it can't find any problems, and when you restart it, it keeps going to startup repair. The computer originally had XP on it, and her step dad installed 7 right before we moved across the country, so we don't have any kind of install or recovery discs

After a (sloppily done on my part) multiple driver update on 7 Home Premium x64, I've been tossed into Startup Repair. SR goes into an endless repeating loop - never reporting failure, just an endless repeat. I've used the Windows 7 install disk and tried System Restore. Twice System Restore has reported success, yet I immediately end up booting back into the Startup Repair loop.
I am given no options - when I try F8 I'm simply tossed back into Startup Repair. I'm thinking there may be a command prompt way out of the loop, but I'm clueless in that area.

my work machine started acting up yesterday. even though i have it set to log in automatically, the log in screen started appearing suddenly when i boot. the only option is my regular account.
when i click it, the monitor (old crt) clicks off and on, like it's changing resolution. it goes blank for a second, then the login screen comes back up.
it takes some messing about, restarting, and lots of clicking, but eventually it logs in and i can work. any thoughts? i'm baffled. and i'd rather not spend half the day reinstalling everything...

How To: Dual Boot Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 on a PC. Now I have the usb stick all set up perfectly and I know it works because it begins to boot. unfortunately it does begin and says Darwin for a split second but then it resets to the HP logo and restarts again. I am able to switch the directory to boot from so my Windows 7 side is unaffected. But I cannot get the OSX side to start. I have been able before I choose the boot site to have on the bottom like a command prompt it seems like where it just says BOOT: and I can type what ever I like into it.

The issue might be on the server end. I don't know. The situation is this I have internet access and many web sites are consistently difficult to access. A good example would be Newegg.com and their pages as well as the links to their site that I click in the email they send me. The blue busy circle stay in an endless loop. I can access there site sometimes if I persistently tap F5 (refresh). While this issue is a problem with many web sites that I try to access some pull up instantly. Is there something I can do to fix this or could it be the ISP or a server issue.

Sometimes on my many windows 7 pcs when I go to computer or network nothing shows up and the side has the endless magnifying glasses searching, I can still access a network or drive by typing in the location or drive letter, logging out sometimes fixes this, but mainly have to restart the pc? This a windows 7 bug?

I have Windows 7 x64 Enterprise installed on a slightly older mother board (Asus MB 775 Intel with 2 GB of RAM) and has worked well for a couple of years or so. I am passing this MB/CPU/RAM combo to my son's computer and have purchased an upgraded MB/CPU/RAM.I've purchased an ASRock H61/U3S3 MB, 2x2GB RAM, Intel i7 2600. In swapping out the MB, I just attempted to plug my hard drive into this MB without doing any installation/upgrade. Unfortunately, when I plugged in the hard drive and turned it on, the computer froze on startup and more specifically, on loading the file CLASSPNP.SYS. So I figured I would have to do a fresh install of Windows. I have an identical hard drive for mirroring and deleted the partition, created new one, formatted, then attempted the reinstall. I began the installation, it copied over all of the files, installed, restarted, then when it was starting it restarted (apparently prematurely). When it restarts after locking up, I receive the error: "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encounter an expected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click 'OK' to restart the computer, and the restart the installation." and so the loop goes on. I've clicked OK many times, but without restarting the installation this error comes up each time. During the final stages of completing the installation of Windows, the computer appears to randomly restart. I'm pretty much stuck and will contact the store that sold me the MB as a last resort.

when i watch a Internet video, every so often, my computer completely freezes,and a wierd buzzing, repeated loop of the last miliseconds of audio play,and it's really bothering me, because no matter what i do, i can't seem to fix the problem!this problem only occurs on Internet though, and maybe everyother day once or twice when i'm on facebook.is there any suggestion or anything i could possibly do to help fix this problem.? i'm not sure what else there is to do. [code] the freezing only lasts like a 1-5 minutes though.

Last night i was playing a game (DmC) on my computer and my cousin came out of nowhere and unplugged everything. (it was a multi plug that was connected to my tv, monitor and computer) When i turned my pc back on: it asked me if i wanted to repair the problem; so i clicked yes. After awhile, the computer restarted, but now it can't seem to start normally anymore, all the safe mode options work, but every time i choose to start it normally; it just goes in an infinite start up loop.It shows the hp logo, then says that it's starting up, shows a black screen with the mouse symbol showing and starts that pattern all over again.

I recently build myself a gaming computer the specs are as follows:
i5 3570k
16GB G.Skill 1600 Mhz
ASRock Extreme4
Evga 750 Watt PSU
Asus GTX 670 2GB
After I Installed all of the drivers for everything but the graphics card it was finally time for that and as soon as I downloaded the newest drivers from Nvidia and restarted my computer I immediately got into a reboot loop and any time I've tried going into safe mode to delete the drivers my computer restarts. On top of all of that there are these red vertical lines all over my monitor.

Anyway, I seem to have a folder that goes on forever.Windows.old was backup but there's nothing else in that folder.I tried moving a very deep child folder out and going through that. No luck. So now I just have a recurring DocumentsDocuments etc on my HD.I looked through all this. Tried running CHKDSK, tried deleting it in safe mode, on Linux, and using scripts and stuff I found on the web. Something to do with Robocopy.

Have Windows 7 on my laptop and it's been working OK so far. When my WinXP install on my desktop started acting wonky and refused to launch except in safe mode, I figured I'd go ahead and trade up to Windows 7 since I'm a student and can get a copy for $20.I pulled all the data I wanted onto a USB drive, then started installing. Did a clean custom install; deleted both previous partitions and made a single new partition for it to install on (plus the mandatory 100MB partition). It chugged along and seemed to be progressing nicely: Copying files... check. Expanding files... check. Installing features... check. Installing updates... check. Completing installation... VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED. Suddenly my monitor doesn't understand the output it's getting. The system doesn't see the keyboard either: caps lock & num lock buttons don't toggle their associated lights. So I gave it an hour. Still nothing. I figured it must have locked up, so I power-cycled it, hoping it had completed the installation. No such luck, I get an error message saying the installation ended unexpectedly and I have to restart. So I restart. Same thing happens.
During the portion of the install just before the final reboot, while it says, "Completing installation..." the screen goes black to show a single blinking cursor in the top left for a second or so (like it kicked out of the OS), then goes black & says video mode not supported, like its receiving invalid input from the computer. I connected another monitor and instead of saying video mode not supported, it just shows a black screen, like its getting good output from the computer but the computer just wants to show all black (this monitor does have a 'video mode not supported' equivalent screen, which it's not using in this case; that's why I think it's getting good output from the PC). I know the system isn't reaching the actual reboot, because it doesn't do the 10-second countdown before automatically rebooting, it just jumps straight to the black screen.
Machine Stats Processor is a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo. Has 2GB of RAM. GPU is an Nvidia 8800 GT. Monitor is a Dell 2007WFPb. Disc I'm installing from says "Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit x86 Upgrade: Pre-existing OS License Required (Product Key Required) - September 2009 Systems Student Media".
Current Things to Try Install WinXP and give Upgrade Advisor a shot. Current Operating System, pre-install- Never multi-booted before, not planning to start now. Current Hardware- 1 SATA hard drive- 1 SATA DVD drive- 1 USB external drive, but not connected during install- Didn't see any disks with an exclamation point or yellow triangle - Not a new HD; as I said, it's one I was using before, I deleted the two partitions I was using with WinXP, made a single new partition (plus the mandatory 100MB one), and formatted the new one using the installer's Disk Manager Windows 7 installation details - Disc says Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit x86 Upgrade: Pre-existing OS License Required (Product Key Required) - September 2009 Systems Student Media ... I saw on various forums before I started that Upgrade versions could do clean new installs as well - 32 bit (x86) version - Bought a legit DVDInstallation Media- From a DVDThe procedure and speed of burning the ISO to DVD has been the most frequent cause of installation failure- Bought itOther- No overclocking?

So, I'm not exactly sure what I did. I was clearing up some space on my computer after using the Norton Removal Tool to get rid of this Norton trial popup that came up everytime I booted my computer. Now, after it told me to restart, it seems to be stuck in an endless boot cycle that resets itself after showing the Windows logo. I've since tried running startup repair, which freezes as it shows the progress bar for 'Windows is loading files'. Safe mode will not work, either. It just sends it back into the boot cycle. Not sure what to do at this point. My computer came pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, so I don't have any startup discs.

I have been following the progress of Windows 7 through beta stages. I currently operate on Windows XP SP3 which runs great, however Ive very recently decided to go for WIndows 7 beta. I completely backed up all my information, booted from DVD, formatted and then started to install.
It copies/ expands all the files to 100%, then does a normal restart, It then comes up with starting windows> registering entries etc, the carries on finalising the install only to reboot itself?
After the reboot it gives me the windows recovery screen. If it tries to boot up it just goes into a reboot loop. I am sooo confused.
The thing is I would say I know my way around PC software and Hardware very well. I have tried different BIOS settings, Optimising defaults, Load-Fail Safe Defaults, Creating New Partitions etc.

Ok I have a Dell Inspiron N7110. I kept getting the blue screen of death , ran all the registry cleaners,virus checkers, malware fixers I had, nothing ever showed up. all came back clean. but i still got the blue screen of death.. I even ran Combo fix to no avail. decided to do a Dell system backup restore. Since then I am stuck in a start up loop. I cant even boot from my cd drive succesfully now.Called Dell they ran the typical tests, ( ones I already did) and found nothing wrong with it, told me its not hardware issue that my warranty covers sent me to software issue department. ran the tests again. and he determined he can fix it but its not covered.I could buy their warranty for $250 which will cover me for a year for any software problems.. or pay $150 for the one time help that he could fix it but would not tell me what was wrong with it. I asked for the OS disk to be sent to me so I could try to do a new install from disk.. he said he could but it wouldnt help me so he wont. I am sickened by this customer support its obviously an issue with their backup crap.. I have a win 7 disk from my sons computer and I can't even run it as when I choose boot from CD it still goes right to start up repair so I can even do that.

The problem is minor and it's just a bit of an annoyance I've been dealing with from time to time.[CODE]Basically, If I were to I put my computer to sleep(using the sleep function, not hibernate) and try to wake it up within a few seconds, the computer would go into an automatic reboot loop that would continue to boot, shut down, boot, shut down until I turn off the PSU completely. I'm trying to figure out which component might be causing this problem, if any. I've updated my bios, drivers, and ran memtest but nothing seemed out of the ordinary and it didn't fix the problem.

I have had my computer for around a year now and it has come pre installed with windows 7. it has recently stated going to the windows start up repair. it goes trying to find a problem then it say windows is unable to locate the issue or something like that. i am by no means a computer wiz but i have tried restoring from a previous date but it say that file is corrupt i am also unable to start in safe mode i have looked around for a few days now on the internet to come up with a solution but with no success

I was trying to remove some Malware and trojans on my Grandmas computer and sort of crashed it. I was using iObit and I remember seeing something about a rootkit something or another and boot.img file and I did not remove the file as it had the boot.img file, and thats kind of an important file. Anyways after trying to restore and completely reformatting the rd drive, I've had no luck getting the computer past the Windows Splash screen without getting restart windows normally or windows repair options.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, HP G61-304NR laptop is auto rebooting over and over again. I have tried system recover from my recover disks - it did not work. I ordered system recovery disks from HP and had the recover disk reformat the Windows partition (I have a valid backup of this computer).Tried to boot in the following modes:
-Safe Mode
-Safe Mode w/Command Prompt
-Low Res Video
-Disable Driver Signing Enforcement
None of these things work. It appears that the problem may be associated with atipcie.sys driver. I assume this because the safe mode driver boot stops at disk.sys and the next driver that needs to load is atipcie.sys. At that point, the computer goes into windows and then reboots. I cannot get to a command prompt. I have tried to get to a command prompt by booting from the recover disk, by booting through safe mode with command prompt. I cannot get there. The laptop successfully gets through BIOS, and goes to Windows, but then it goes through some command screens (looks like scripts, cscript.exe), but then automatically reboots.

So, my computer is stuck in a restart loop. every now and then I see a screen with option to start windows normally or safe mode, but it loops faster then I can hit enter. being a comp guy and knowing enough about comps, tried to load Windows 7 install disk as well as Ubuntu Live Disk.. No luck, loops before they can load. Tried disconnecting everything except CPU, Graphic Card, HDD(3 different), and RAM (1 and all sticks).. No luck there either.

In my Program Folder, I have a TEMP Folder (Empty). When I right click and try to delete the folder, I enter a loop with no end. The Pop Window display like it is trying to remove the whole Programs Folder.

I'm trying to install windows 7 on my laptop through a USB key, but so far I've been unsucessful. What's been happening is that everything goes fine until the installer needs to reboot itself, then the computer reboots, but installation process begins again from the beginning. No error messages or anything like that. I've begun the installation process 3 times now, each time the installer thinks it is installing a new copy.
For reference, I have an IBM Thinkpad T43, and I'm installing Windows 7 Professional.

So I'm sure you guys have noticed this before. On another computer (vista home prem) I updated Windows and it got stuck on the loop when restarted finishing up at the 3 of 3 ( 0 % ) areaI don't have any disk to insert, all I have is another vista ultimate but I don't want to install that on the computer. What can I do? Is there something that I can download to flash drive to boot from to where I could be able to create a system restore
