I have scanned it and formatted the Flash Dive but nothing works.

Jun 9, 2012My laptop have DVDRamGT30L HP My computer runs on Window 7 home premium and I use Cyberlink power 2 go for image and burning. I'm from India and recently we has religious function at home. As this was a personal religious event we took service of professional photographer who shoot the event using his digital camera and converted it to image on his computer. he burned image on DVD . I can play DVD on traditional DVD player Though the disk is full my computer drive recognize it as blank DVD. There are total 41 DVDs and some of the DVDs are recognized and can be played on computer. My DVD writer (on PC)is in good condition. The DVD which shows blank on my computer is shown full on photographe's computer.Unfortunately he could only told me that he has transfered this event from his camera disk to computer using some new HD technology. According to him some configuration changes required on my computer. His computer also run on window 7. Also same photographer did this same event recording for me three years ago and all these DVDs play well on my computer?

Dec 31, 2011Windows 7 (new computer) I'm trying to transfer folders from Outlook Express to Thunderbird. Found out that if I first transfer them to Windows Live Mail then to Thunderbird it would be easier. I saved the Outlook Express Folder from my old computer, which is long gone, to a travel drive. Now I'm trying to import them to WLM, but it won't do it. I found out I need to uncheck "read" under properties. I've tried and tried that, but every time it reverts right back to having it checked.

But in before one week it does not read any cd or dvd (which burn by that writer) .when i insert a cd or dvd it start and when i go to windows explorer it display (in win 7) progress bar that it is reading.After complete the progress bar when i click on dvd rom icon and click open then dvd or cv will eject and display error message insert disc to rom .(i have used this writter 18 months ,but not hardly used)

Mar 28, 2009I have a IV880-10 (viewed in CD) AsRock motherboard, "Intel core 2 cpu" , 4coredual-VSTA.
When I had winXP, the front audio panel works perfectly but now with 7057 they won't work. I had installed the last audio codecs from realtek but the motherboard drivers (from CD) are incompatible and they don't let me install it on the 7057.
I tried to install them with the compatibility mode (Vista and XP) , but after the restart Windows 7 was damaged and started a "restore system".
So... frontal audio don't are my life, but i like them because they are very confortable to connect my speakers to mp3, ipod, and nother devices.
I'm a little newbie about this, so please can anyone tell me what have I to do to make my frontal audio panel works?
Do I need to download the 4coredual-VSTA drivers from asrock.com ? (bios?, audio?, hdd?)
Or simply is the 7057 that in this moment doesn't support my motherboard front panels?

Nov 22, 2011My computer's Stereo Mix option (Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, HP Pavilion p6330f) USED to be able to record my computer's audio fine, but now it no longer does that. It rather chooses to record exactly what my headset records. It may be worthy to note that I think it may have stopped working because of my new headset (Turtle Beach X11 series). However, going on this theory, I tried to disable the microphone and even use a different kind of microphone, but it still did not work.As I mentioned, I've tried disabling the mic and have looked through the options available on Stereo Mix and just can't seem to figure out why this is happening. I just want to be able to play music back on my microphone when I'm talking to friends on Skype.

Apr 25, 2011I have Win 7 home premium on an HP laptop with 4 usb ports. I have 2 Western Digital Elements 1.5 TB drives for backups. If I plug in one of the drives, Win assigns a drive letter, but if I add the second one it doesn't.
To troubleshoot, I've plugged each drive into every usb port on the laptop, and each port reads each drive alone, but if I plug in the second drive while the first is still in, it shoes up in devices but does not get a drive letter. I tried assigning a different drive letter to the device plugged in first, but Win still doesn't assign a letter to the second drive.

Jun 29, 2012My Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203A drive refuses to recognize any sort of media I put within it. I am unsure of when this problem occured (because I rarely use the drive, which begs the question of how in the world can it stop working), but I do know that nothing I have tried has helped me.I've tried all of the following:Editing the registry to no avail because the "Lower Filters" key is not present, therefore the kb article is of no use.Uninstalling/reinstalling the drive Changing the Start key in the registry to "3" Formatting the entire machine and restoring to factory settings The thing is, whenever I enter the Device Manager to check on the drive, it keeps saying it's working perfectly/drivers are up-to-date/blah blah blah. I've tried searching everywhere but to no avail, and I may soon just take a hammer to it and be done with this crap.However, I am hoping that you mates can help me before rage takes over and I smash this thing to bits! Also, is it possible for a drive to be stuck in "burn mode" (as in it thinks it's always burning a cd/dvd)?

Oct 31, 2011Recently my DVD burner does not see any DVDs on my computer that I built a couple of months ago. It does not see Movies, Games(that are DVD), Blank DVD-R or DVD-R that I have written information to. I have put in a few different CDs(Game, Audio and Data) and they do get recognized by the drive. My problems all started when I was writing to a Blank DVD. While it was burning, the burn process failed about midway through. After that happened, my problems with the drive not recognizing the DVDs started.
I had done a system restore to an earlier restore point before I had the problems with the drive, but that did not help. So, I undid the system restore. I have also tried uninstalling the drive from the Device Manager and restarted, but that also did not work.
The computer is running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The model of the DVD burner is a LiteOn iHAS524-T98 B. The Manufacture Date of the drive is April 2011, so it's not that old of a drive.

in physically looking at the MB, I see that the SATA cable for the 542 is in the 3 position (facing the MB looking down), but is there a way to determine which drive is C: and what is D: (the 542 is being assigned F:, and the CD/DVD is E.

Aug 8, 2011If I plug my flash drive into my PC using Windows XP, it works fine.No problems.But when I plug it into my laptop, using Windows 7 it will not load it.It says newhardware detected, installing new hardware, Hardware installation failed.If I go Device Manager, It is listed under Unknown Devices.I have tried to uninstall all the USB Root Hubs, Restart the computer, in-order for it to auto re-install with the USB in / out of the computer. But it still fails.

Jul 30, 2012I found one thread on here where someone had the same issue, and there were links to two "Fixes" ...one of them worked for the CD I inserted during the process..it showed up in iTunes in everything. When I took the CD out and tried to put it in a new one, it went back to the same thing - saying there is no disc in the drive. I tried running the fix again and this time it keeps saying not fixed. I was so excited because it looked like it worked, but no. The computer says that the drive is working properly, but obviously it isn't. HP wants to charge $60+ to fix it because it's a few months out of warranty.

Nov 1, 2012I cant burn dvds on my hp dv7. I use Win 7 64 bit Home Standard edition. I have owned this computer 3 years now and since my free upgrade from Vista to Win 7 the problem has existed. As far as I can tell the filter trick only works for one or two of these machines, and will only really help the problem when it first manifests itself with burning issues. One day your filters will just break in the registry, and at this point the problem becomes unsolvable, even by changing out hardware, or uninstalling and reinstalling old hardware. It would be nice if someone other than Microsoft or HP would look into this or that said companies would make a real effort to figure out if the problem is an interaction between the firmware and the registry or the driver cache and the registry. I fix networks and computers for a living, and am working on my BSIS in Technology Management?

Dec 25, 2012My Windows 7 Dell Studio 1550 laptop computers disc drive has been acting up for a little while now, like having to insert a DVD twice before it starts to autoplay with Windows Media Player (WMP). Just little things like that. Now when I try to play my audiobook I got today and it isn't recognized by WMP. When the look in Windows Explorer the files it contains are garbage- default style files of size 1kb with default track names like: Track01, Track02....Thinking that it could be that the CD might be readable on normal car CD players and similar, I double check with an old CD that I burnt myself a couple weeks ago. It doesn't recognize that either and it Win Explorer displays the same garbage.WM Player does literally nothing when it is told to play to it, and VLC tells me that:"Your input can't be opened: In desperation I try the original CD in my gaming tower. I have been searching for solutions all day but I can't do any of the options described. Pressing f8 to enter safe mode does nothing, nor does alt+f10. I also don't have a cd drive as its just a netbook and no recovery cd came with it even if I did have a portable one. Anyone have any ideas? I'm on a boat in the Arctic for the next month and without my laptop I will likely jump off an iceberg!
