Cant Select Freecell Game Windows 7?

Under Windows XP, after winning a Freecell game, you coul check the "select game" box in the window askng if you want to "Play Again?" Now, under Windows 7, it just asks "Play Again?" and opens a random game. If you click "Select Game" on the drop down menu, it warns this will count as a loss in the statistics. I don't care that much about the statistics, but I am playing sequential games (I am now on 21210), so I [b][i]always want to select the game number.

I play free cell a lot. Recently the cards quit "disappearing when the game is successfully completed although the window showing wins/losses and asking if I want toplay again appears. It seems to run faster bu tthis happened after one of two things were done close together.
(1) there were several critical updates.
(2) I ran CCleaner register cleaner.
I am guessing a .dll is missing.I have gone through the procedure of checking and unchecking the box in Windows 7 Features nothing changes except I now have an empty Icon on the deskto but the game plays the same as above described.Also about the same time as some of the critical update,s my opening window has a thumbprint it did not have before. before all of this mess my start up went to straight from opening Windows splash to desktop as I am the only uses and thus also administrator.

A sudden error -n what can I do? I click on a sequence of 7-8-9, then try to drag them to sit on a 10. BUT only the 7 moves! (So error message that it can only sit on the next card above). I see no reference to errors/troubleshooting under Freecell. And I see no facility for uninstall (and leter reinstall) Freecell. I have Windows 7 .

In Windows 7, every time I quit playing I keep having to answer the "Do you want to save this game" question in both Freecell and Hearts. I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the confirmations like we used to be able to do in Windows XP? The is nothing in the Options Menu relating to this.

When I install a game in Windows 7 and Windows recognizes it it dumps the game's shortcut in the Game folder of the Start Menu. That wouldn't be a problem except Windows 7 prevents the game from creating the shortcuts it would have created had the operating system not been Windows 7- things like the game's Read Me, Uninstaller & Configuration options.

(Which I what I've started calling this product since I'm on my 5th reinstall and probably will get to a 6th.) Anyway so now I have a new issue this time with Live Messenger. I can double click on a contact and it theoretically creates a window so I can talk to them. The problem is that I can't make that new window be visible. If I hover my mouse over the icon in the task bar I can see that it really did create a window so I can talk to my contact but if I click on it nothing happens. (The window stays hidden.) So anybody else see this behavior with Live Messenger in Reinstall

In windows 7 in windows explorer we can search and control our files and folders.When I click on a folder or file I get a nice light blue selection. I am really sick of this color. I do not wish to change the Windows 7 Theme per se , I was just wanting to change the color of selected files and or folders , because the color is too faint.

When setting up my wireless internet modem for the home computer, the Network and Sharing Center gives me three choices of Home Network, Work Place and Public Network.I read the help information on the subject but I am still a little confused. I use only the one home computer within my home. Should I choose the 'Home Network' option or would it be more safe and secure to choose the 'Public Network' option?I also need to set up a VPN connection for web browsing. Here again I am asked to choose. Do I choose Public Network for this

I installed Windows 7 on a separate drive from Windows XP. On booting the computer the two operating systems appear but I cannot used the arrow or tab key etc to select the operating system. It defaults to Windows 7 after 30 seconds.

I have windows 7 pro as my default OS on a 1T internal hard drive. Some of my games won't work so I partitioned my hard drive 50 gigs, and have installed windows xp on that partition. Of course I inserted the XP disk, went into the bio's and switched the boot order of my computer to CD (for now). Installed xp, and it work. But when I restarted it, It just goes directly to XP, It doesn't give me a list on which Os to boot off of or anything. I went to start and typed in msconfig. and it only saw XP, although there were other things there i did not recognize.
So I inserted the windows 7 disk and restarted computer off disk and selected "repair" and I am back on 7, but I can go back on XP any time I want, (just simple insert the XP disk). Anyways when I'm in windows 7 and I type in msconfig in the search bar, it only see's windows 7 Os, current and default OS. So I have two OS on a partitioned hard drive, no boot selective boot up. And I cant access one or the other without the boot up disk. Is there a way to select which one i want to boot up?

I haven't been able to do this and just assumed that it wasn't possible until I saw this: Select multiple files or folders. This doesn't work on my computer, can other people open Explorer and select more then one folder at a time? I've tried this when I wanted to move multiple folders to an external drive and had to do them one at a time.

I recently did a reinstall of Windows 7 (64 Bit) which went well and everything was working fine until my pc encountered some kind of error last night & rebooted. Since then everytime I shut it down, it just reboots instead. I've tried quite a few things after reading the net but nothing has worked.
I've tried changing power management options in the device manager, looking in the BIOS for anything that looks off and I've just completed another reinstall of Windows but the problem still persists.
The only thing that's not fully up to date are the motherboard drivers as when I download them from the Asus website, I just get a ROM file that I can't seem to use.

ive been having some trouble with my language bar. i can see the back on my desktop, but as soon as i left click on the icon (to change settings/change languages) the pop-up menu only appears for about 0.5 of a second and then disappears.

I've had Windows Mail working well on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit for over a year with no problems until very recently.
A problem started 3 days ago.
I have my Contacts List set to show alphabetically starting at A, and until 3 days ago, the Select Recipients box showed in the same order. It's now showing in the reverse order - starting with Z.

It boots fine from usb fine and starts the setup however when she goes to install it asks "insert the media device and select the driver windows 7". Ive looked around the forums and google and found that this can be a usb 2.0 , 3.0 problem with people just switching to the 2.0 slot and it working. However this does not work for her and so I looked around more and found it might be needing the drivers for the USB ports had her insert the disc that came with the motherboard however non of the setups in the usb folder work and im not sure which specific file she needs to choose to get the driver to install or 100 % if that is even the issue. Any ideas? Intel� Desktop Board DZ68DB - Overview this is the board Forgot to mention this hard drive is from her older computer so its a new motherboard / cpu / ram.

I have messed up my dual boot of XP Pro and Seven
Seven was working well, but XP was playing up.
I did a restore from an earlier acronis image of XP.
XP now works again, but as you have guessed I have lost the dual boot menu to select Windows 7 when I bootup.
I know boot.ini does not apply with Seven.
Please tell me how to get my neatly tweaked Seven back on the boot menu,

My computer was working fine for a year and a half and just had this message,"reboot and select proper boot device". I unplugged every device one at a time (including all external peripheral devices) and tried to reboot unsuccessfully. I checked to make sure everything was properly attached multiple times. Sometimes I'm able to boot with the windows 7 disk....most times not so lucky. I checked my bios boot order and everything seems to be correct after reading posts online. I wonder if the CMOS battery can cause this or if their is some type of diagnosis tool or hardware malfunction causing this. I ran seagate tools to check hard drives..They are all working fine.

Lastnight I was working on some documents and my computer randomly restarted. Upon restarting I get the message reboot and select proper boot device. I can't install my Windows Ultimate 64 bit edition on my RAID 0 Western Digital 500GB hdd's because on the boot screen my computer keeps telling me to "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device", I've done both those instructions, rebooted, reinserted, all of it, no solution. I made sure my boot priority is the drive first, and raid drives after. Still nothing. But this is the interesting part, last time I fixed this problem by using my previous computers dvd drive to install instead of the blu ray, it installed and everything was right with the world.
But I have since then thrown out the old DVD drive, and now have nothing to install with. So what I did in the past hour was used a freinds DVD drive to install and it did not work. When my System Config, is set to RAID, it calls both my blu ray and his dvd drive, ATAPI CD, when in IDE, it calls my blue ray a blue ray and his dvd drive a dvd drive. I simply want to do a clean(custom) install of my windows 64 bit on my two RAID 0 HDDs, I've checked the boot priority, I've put both hdds in RAID0 and I've also used someone elses dvd dive to try and install.
