Can't Select Messenger Windows 7?

(Which I what I've started calling this product since I'm on my 5th reinstall and probably will get to a 6th.) Anyway so now I have a new issue this time with Live Messenger. I can double click on a contact and it theoretically creates a window so I can talk to them. The problem is that I can't make that new window be visible. If I hover my mouse over the icon in the task bar I can see that it really did create a window so I can talk to my contact but if I click on it nothing happens. (The window stays hidden.) So anybody else see this behavior with Live Messenger in Reinstall

So I had messenger when I upgraded and im using 64bit, ultimate Windows 7.Here is my issue it was working just fine up till a week or two ago and now when i load messenger it wont even load up or anything it just says,Windows live Messenger has stopped working,Then says close program.I shut down restart nothing work even reinstalling from fresh download.How can I fix this?I had it working since Windows 7 was released and just a week or two ago it stopped.What should I do?

I tried to install the new Facebook Messenger for Windows, which according to what they say, works on Windows 7. I have the 64Bit Ultimate Edition btw.But no matter if I download that Messenger directly on the Facebook page or from some other Website, I can't get it installed. I double click the file, Windows pops up and asks me (as usual) if I want to install that file, I say yes. Then you would think that something would come up next, but it doesn't.When I check in Taskmanager, I see that the installation process just disappears out of the active Processes list after a few seconds.

I did several thing before restarting and seeing this glitch: Removed KIS completely, registry cleaner, junk file cleaner, reinstalled KIS.At first, there was a glitch with windows gadgets too, but I found out this solution: Vista Sidebar Gadgets Broken - Vista Forums and it fixed my gadgets too. The problem was similar, expect I could not see the background of the weather gadget.I have a few pictures to better describe the problem: - Fixed - Current Glitch - Current Glitch - Current Glitch As you can see, the text it's present in the y!messenger window ... but not in PM windows nor the archive.I remember that I had this problem in Vista and XP too ... in XP I had to reinstall the OS ... deleting Windows directory and leaving the rest. I don't recall to have found a solution to this then ... but it was only the yahoo thing. I don't remember having the same problem with some installers.I've used other installers after the problem appeared and they looked and performed as normal. This error seems to affect only y!mess and a particular type of installers. Everything else seems to function properly.I did a SFC scan. It found no problems at all. That's why I think it can be fixed without having to reinstall windows 7 or using the backup image.

I am on Win 7 Ultimate and my messenger kept logging out every 40 seconds or so. After I logged in,my contact list would be different each time.(I am confident that my friends did not come and go at the time.) For around 40 seconds, I would be able to open chat windows, type them a message, and it will then bounce back.Shortly after that I'd be logged off and it'll reconnect. After 6-20 times of logging in and out desperately, it would then magically log back with the correct contact list and it would stop disconnecting.
I have tried reinstall Live Messenger(6 times), checked the 'Sign me out of all other places when I sign in' box in option. I have reinstall Win 7 too many times it consumed all my free time and now my social life(MSN) is about over...

Not sure if this is the right forum, but anyways, whenever I try to log on aim or MSN it says "connection lost" and whenever i try to go to sites with HTTPS it says they aren't safe and asks me if i want to proceed or leave. Sites like wachovia, amazon account a management, etc. When i do sign on im unable to view the images of said products or even the buttons. instead of the image its either a box with a icon that looks like a torn peice of paper or has like 3-4 colored boxes within it. Im not sure what this is called.

Roughly a week ago for an unknown reason I became unable to log into Windows Live Messenger 2012.Up until this point I was using 2012 just fine. If I uninstall and install 2011 I can sign in fine, which seems to rule out firewall/antivirus issues. I can log in with my account on the web and other devices.If I re-install 2012I've tried virtually every process listed on the Internet and cannot resolve this. Worse, the error message has changed as I try different fixes. Currently it is 800706be. I've completely deleted Windows Essentials multiple times and always get the same issueMalwareBytes and Kaspersky scan comes back clean.

I have a new win 7 64 bit computer. I hae windows live messenger 2011 installed. I have it set up to sign in automatically, but when I start the computer or re-boot, it comes back to the sign in screen and the "sign in automatically box in not checked" There fore,it will not sign in automatically. I have searched every thing I know how to check and nothing helps. Is this fixable?

I have just installed the latest Yahoo Messenger (version 9) on a new Windows 7 (x64) platform, and I can't get my webcam to work. All I get when I try --> Messenger --> My webcam is a black screen. My webcam seems to be correctly connected and installed on my PC with the latest drivers ("The device is working" ). And I can use my webcam with other applications, like Skype, on Windows 7, with no problems. I use a desktop PC with a USB webcam.
By the way, I can see the video image from the webcams of my YM contacts when I am in a video conversation with them. So, no problem the other way.
I have also tried to un-install/re-install both the webcam (Windows 7 re-installs it automatically) and YM. I have also gone through all the camera settings in YM. But still no chance.
Is there a well known problem related to the use of a webcam with YM on Windows 7?

I think it would be a good idea for the Windows Live Mail taskbar to have the option in settings to blink when you have an unread e-mail, just like Windows Live Messenger does when a contact sends you a message.

It just keeps freezing for no particular reason, it doesn't shows any kind of error, I can still see the webcam image, animations from emoticons, the ellipsis when my contact is typing a message and I still can hear the microphone sound coming from my friend during a call. But I can't type, I can't click and highlight MSN's window and I also can't see the messages I recieve from my contact, It just freezes for about five minutes, and then comes back like nothing ever happened. I've already changed my LAN Settings on IE to do not automatically detect LAN Settings.

Move Live Messenger Icon to the System Tray in Windows 7. If you've made the switch to Windows 7 and use Windows Live Messenger, you might have noticed the icon stays in the new Taskbar. If you are annoyed by this and would rather see it in the System Tray (notification area), just follow this simple process. Show Messenger Icon in Notification Area. When you close out or minimize Messenger it will reside in the new Taskbar. [URL]. To make it act like it did in previous versions of Windows, right-click on the Windows Live Messenger icon and go to Properties.
In the example above I created an icon on the desktop but you can also do the same thing with the icon in the start menu. Then go to the Compatibility tab and run it in Windows Vista compatibility mode. The icon might be hidden in the notification area though. As the title suggests I cannot see my chat partners display pics. I cannot see mine neither but they can see mine apparently.I have been to the App Data folder and deleted contacts thing in there also the display pics folder in there and it made no difference at all.On the list of contacts images are shown fine.I am using Build 15.4 as the very newest one would just show a white window when someone messaged me and all that would be shown besides whiteness was an ad

My PC runs on Windows 7 OS. I've installed the Windows Live Essentials but MSN Messenger and Live Mail programs are missing from the Start Menu though the installer stated that these 2 programs are already installed on my pc. I browsed to the Programs folder but can't locate any folders on MSN Messenger either. There is a folder for Live Mail though. However, I can't find any .exe file inside that folder which I can use to create a shortcut to my desktop. Had reinstalled the latest Live Essentials package umpteen times but problem remain unsolved.

Can anyone suggest me a fix for the WL messenger problem.When I want to sign in, I tipe in my address and password and when I click on the sign in button I have to wait somewhere 30-60 seconds till it succesfully signs me in.
