I have Windows 7 Professional installed on my computer (Full Version). I downloaded Yahoo messenger (Any Version) 9 or 10. But I am getting script error when i try to message someone.
The details of the error is "Unspecified".
I have Windows 7 Ulitmate and my yahoo messenger has just recently stopped working it will not allow me to see what is being written and when I type in the regsvr32. it tells me this error message anyone know how I can go about fixing that so I can get back on messenger?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi unable to signin my yahoo messenger, skype and even cannot load to yahoo mail website. but i still can surf other website normally. i noticed that some of the page that required password are unable to load. the will be an error that ask to check the intrnet conection. im using LAN connection. i tried to login yahoo mail, and signin skype and ym by using my friends pc in my home and i can login/singin without any trouble. we using the same internet connction.i already reformat my laptop cause i thought there is laptop problem. but there is still no luck. same problem still occur. i scaned my lappy with updated antvrus (btdefender) but no virus detected. i also tried unable the firewall in my system but no changed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just installed the latest Yahoo Messenger (version 9) on a new Windows 7 (x64) platform, and I can't get my webcam to work. All I get when I try --> Messenger --> My webcam is a black screen. My webcam seems to be correctly connected and installed on my PC with the latest drivers ("The device is working" ). And I can use my webcam with other applications, like Skype, on Windows 7, with no problems. I use a desktop PC with a USB webcam.
By the way, I can see the video image from the webcams of my YM contacts when I am in a video conversation with them. So, no problem the other way.
I have also tried to un-install/re-install both the webcam (Windows 7 re-installs it automatically) and YM. I have also gone through all the camera settings in YM. But still no chance.
Is there a well known problem related to the use of a webcam with YM on Windows 7?
I keep getting popups of yahoo messenger and it is frustrating as hell. I don't even have YM on my computer, at least not what I can see. I have been googling it and no one seems able to get rid of it. You just keep getting pop ups of new people all the time and I cannot find anywhere to stop it. I have tried blocking names, etc. to no avail. I have the latest verson of Yahoo.

Start -> run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion ->Internet Settings -> Zones then In zones part you must have 0,1,2,3,4 ,If not delete other ones(Don't delete 0,1,2,3,4)
I dont know why but yahoo messenger keeps crashing whenever i join chat room after few minutes. i try reinstalling several times even used old versions till Version 6 of yahoo messenger. i try reinstalling java, dxwebsetup, flashplayer but it do same thing. and it is really annoying when i am chatting and it suddenly stops working

When Live is connected it stays open in the taskbar even when the window is closed which makes it easy to navigate and change status since i keep it pinned to the taskbar. Is there a way to do so with Yahoo? With the new yahoo there's a dot on the icon to show your status if you're online or away etc... It'd be nice if i could make Yahoo function the same way as Live does when I'm logged in. So my main question is, is there any way to close Yahoo to the taskbar rather than the system tray?

I have uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, restored advanced settings and reset internet explorer it worked for a short while after i did this now its playing up again.I get the usual diagnose internet connection and of course ther is nothing wrong with it. I forgot to say its windows 7 pro I am running, I would update to IE9 but I hate it if only they kept the layout the same as IE8

It shows error code 0x8ac70013 which I have tried to find answers to online and haven't found anything which applies to my situation. I do not have MacAfee or Norton, I am using AVG antivirus. I have tried tweaking the Windows firewall permissions but it hasn't helped.It works just fine on my desktop, which is an old Dell with Windows XP.

I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. I have the 64Bit Ultimate Edition btw.But no matter if I download that Messenger directly on the Facebook page or from some other Website, I can't get it installed. I double click the file, Windows pops up and asks me (as usual) if I want to install that file, I say yes. Then you would think that something would come up next, but it doesn't.When I check in Taskmanager, I see that the installation process just disappears out of the active Processes list after a few seconds.

Anyway so now I have a new issue this time with Live Messenger. I can double click on a contact and it theoretically creates a window so I can talk to them. The problem is that I can't make that new window be visible. If I hover my mouse over the icon in the task bar I can see that it really did create a window so I can talk to my contact but if I click on it nothing happens. (The window stays hidden.) View 9 Replies View RelatedI did several thing before restarting and seeing this glitch: Removed KIS completely, registry cleaner, junk file cleaner, reinstalled KIS.At first, there was a glitch with windows gadgets too, but I found out this solution: Vista Sidebar Gadgets Broken - Vista Forums and it fixed my gadgets too. The problem was similar, expect I could not see the background of the weather gadget.I have a few pictures to better describe the problem: - Fixed - Current Glitch - Current Glitch - Current Glitch As you can see, the text it's present in the y!messenger window ... but not in PM windows nor the archive.I remember that I had this problem in Vista and XP too ... in XP I had to reinstall the OS ... deleting Windows directory and leaving the rest. I don't recall to have found a solution to this then ... but it was only the yahoo thing. I don't remember having the same problem with some installers.I've used other installers after the problem appeared and they looked and performed as normal. This error seems to affect only y!mess and a particular type of installers. Everything else seems to function properly.I did a SFC scan. It found no problems at all. That's why I think it can be fixed without having to reinstall windows 7 or using the backup image.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am on Win 7 Ultimate and my messenger kept logging out every 40 seconds or so. After I logged in,my contact list would be different each time.(I am confident that my friends did not come and go at the time.) For around 40 seconds, I would be able to open chat windows, type them a message, and it will then bounce back.Shortly after that I'd be logged off and it'll reconnect. After 6-20 times of logging in and out desperately, it would then magically log back with the correct contact list and it would stop disconnecting.
I have tried reinstall Live Messenger(6 times), checked the 'Sign me out of all other places when I sign in' box in option. I have reinstall Win 7 too many times it consumed all my free time and now my social life(MSN) is about over...

View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is the right forum, but anyways, whenever I try to log on aim or MSN it says "connection lost" and whenever i try to go to sites with HTTPS it says they aren't safe and asks me if i want to proceed or leave. Sites like wachovia, amazon account a management, etc. When i do sign on im unable to view the images of said products or even the buttons. instead of the image its either a box with a icon that looks like a torn peice of paper or has like 3-4 colored boxes within it. Im not sure what this is called.
