System Shuts Down When Closing Yahoo Messenger

My system is automatically shutting down as soon as i exit from the yahoo messenger Since the past 2 days. It was fine until 2days back. I received a file on chat, which i dint open as the file transfer was cancelled by the sender midway. But since then i have been facing this problem. I have uninstalled messenger and reinstalled it, but still the problem persists. I have even cscanned it for any virus, but there seems to be none.

i unable to signin my yahoo messenger, skype and even cannot load to yahoo mail website. but i still can surf other website normally. i noticed that some of the page that required password are unable to load. the will be an error that ask to check the intrnet conection. im using LAN connection. i tried to login yahoo mail, and signin skype and ym by using my friends pc in my home and i can login/singin without any trouble. we using the same internet connction.i already reformat my laptop cause i thought there is laptop problem. but there is still no luck. same problem still occur. i scaned my lappy with updated antvrus (btdefender) but no virus detected. i also tried unable the firewall in my system but no changed.

I keep getting popups of yahoo messenger and it is frustrating as hell. I don't even have YM on my computer, at least not what I can see. I have been googling it and no one seems able to get rid of it. You just keep getting pop ups of new people all the time and I cannot find anywhere to stop it. I have tried blocking names, etc. to no avail. I have the latest verson of Yahoo.

Just recently I've encountered the problem where I cannot see the text that I type in Yahoo IM and as wellas that it frequently closes down before I've had a chance to do anything saying that an error is preventing the program from working properly. I'm pretty dense when it comes to stuff like this and a quick search of the forum before posting found this: This can solve "can't see text in yahoo messenger"
Start -> run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion ->Internet Settings -> Zones then In zones part you must have 0,1,2,3,4 ,If not delete other ones(Don't delete 0,1,2,3,4)

I dont know why but yahoo messenger keeps crashing whenever i join chat room after few minutes. i try reinstalling several times even used old versions till Version 6 of yahoo messenger. i try reinstalling java, dxwebsetup, flashplayer but it do same thing. and it is really annoying when i am chatting and it suddenly stops working

Since the update, I am unable to use Yahoo Messenger video properly. I can broadcast video, but when trying to receive my g/f's video, it is choppy and within 20 seconds, it freezes. I have uninstalled and re-installed every Adobe product on my machine to no avail, and I'm beyond frustrated. I have scoured the web looking for answers, but can't seem to find relevant information.

I use both yahoo and live for messaging. When Live is connected it stays open in the taskbar even when the window is closed which makes it easy to navigate and change status since i keep it pinned to the taskbar. Is there a way to do so with Yahoo? With the new yahoo there's a dot on the icon to show your status if you're online or away etc... It'd be nice if i could make Yahoo function the same way as Live does when I'm logged in. So my main question is, is there any way to close Yahoo to the taskbar rather than the system tray?

I have just installed the latest Yahoo Messenger (version 9) on a new Windows 7 (x64) platform, and I can't get my webcam to work. All I get when I try --> Messenger --> My webcam is a black screen. My webcam seems to be correctly connected and installed on my PC with the latest drivers ("The device is working" ). And I can use my webcam with other applications, like Skype, on Windows 7, with no problems. I use a desktop PC with a USB webcam.
By the way, I can see the video image from the webcams of my YM contacts when I am in a video conversation with them. So, no problem the other way.
I have also tried to un-install/re-install both the webcam (Windows 7 re-installs it automatically) and YM. I have also gone through all the camera settings in YM. But still no chance.
Is there a well known problem related to the use of a webcam with YM on Windows 7?

My Yahoo home page and related yahoo pages won't display ads, does anyone know how to fix this. I have uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, restored advanced settings and reset internet explorer it worked for a short while after i did this now its playing up again.I get the usual diagnose internet connection and of course ther is nothing wrong with it. I forgot to say its windows 7 pro I am running, I would update to IE9 but I hate it if only they kept the layout the same as IE8

If you are annoyed by this and would rather see it in the System Tray (notification area), just follow this simple process. Show Messenger Icon in Notification Area. In the example above I created an icon on the desktop but you can also do the same thing with the icon in the start menu. I'm having a brand new problem with my machine as of late. I'm freezing all of the time and and when I'm not freezing I am running way too slow. The other interesting issue is that my McAfee software keeps popping up telling me that 'live scanning has been turned off'(automatically) and asks if I want to turn it back on (which I always do). Spybot pulls up the same crap every time

win 7 x64, gigabyte motherboard GA-MA74GMT-S2, AMD PHENOM XII 550 - AMD PHENOM XII B50, DDR3 6 GB RAM, stock cooling, ASUS ati hd5450
I over clocked my cpu from dual core to quad core but even after complete shut down by the window, cpu fan is working, cabinet LED is still on, motherboard LED is on as there is a current.
Which is totaly unusual as everything switches off automaticaly after complete shutdown in normal cpu condition.

Twice, When I was on video conference with 3 of my friends (Google Plus Hang Out - Google Chrome browser)2. When I tried to Mix audio and Video in Windows Live Movie Maker3. I use a Software called Fruity Loops for Music Programming. I had created a project 4 months ago with this software. It worked fine then. The CPU consumption to play my program live was Nominal.I opened the same project a couple of weeks ago, and the project wouldnt even play.It drags... CPU shoots up and system shuts downI removed all the unncessary programs that I had installed on my machine. I still face the problem.The problem first occured, when I used Adobe Audition to remove noise from a recording.

Logging as administrator, I tried to remove admin password. It wouldn't let me do it and now, when I restart and click on the admin icon to log in, it tells me the system is read only and shuts down. If I run f2, f8, etc. The computer shuts down after 30 seconds or so.

Printer directly connected to the system suddenly stops working and shuts the print spool down? I go to restart the spool, print the test page and BAM! print spool has been stopped. At first thought it was a possible infection but I can't find one. Performed a sys restore and it worked only to have a windows critical update start it all over again.....

A couple of days ago i noticed that when i log into yahoo.com and enter my username and password the URL automatically goes to us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com. I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. Can someone please let me know if this is normal or should i be concerned because i didn't change any of my yahoo settings.

My desktop PC running Windows 7 64 bit behaves erratically when I close it down using the Start Orb - shut down button. Sometimes it closes down fully on other occasions the computer goes into a deep sleep, (the hard drive light continues to flash, the fans are running, the monitor screen goes off) but it will not respond to either the keyboard or the mouse, both of which are connected by USB cables.I then have to close down the computer by holding in the power button for about 10 seconds.When I next require the computer it boots normally and seems oblivious to its shut-down problem.I always ensure that no programs are running when I shut down the computer and cannot see any clues regarding what I was last doing before shut-down that might trigger a problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB device drivers to no avail.

So I had messenger when I upgraded and im using 64bit, ultimate Windows 7.Here is my issue it was working just fine up till a week or two ago and now when i load messenger it wont even load up or anything it just says,Windows live Messenger has stopped working,Then says close program.I shut down restart nothing work even reinstalling from fresh download.How can I fix this?I had it working since Windows 7 was released and just a week or two ago it stopped.What should I do?
