Cant delete printer Lexmark 800 series. Cannot see printer in Control Panel>PrintersHowever can see it in Program Festures Uninstall. But when uninstall clicked it just hangs and does not delete the printer.
View 2 RepliesI installed a wireless laser printer. To install...you must connect locally with a USB cable to enter the wireless network's password. This process installed a printer locally and the associated icon was the correct icon. I then set it up wirelessly and when it completed...the icon looked like a fax machine.
The icon I want to use exists somewhere.
1) How do I tell what icon is being used for a device
2) How do I specify the icon I want to use for a device.
I have had a printer icn for a very long time and it's gone .How can I get it back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a printer icon in "Printers and Devices" that I can't get rid of and I believe that it is causing conflicts with my being able to use my printer correctly, i.e., I have downloaded drivers for my printer but when troubleshoot the correct printer icon, the results show that there is no printer driver installed for my printer. The offending icon is the "HP Universal Printing PCL 5" icon.(Please see the screenshot in the attachment.) I have tried the "Remove Device" option many times, but the icon reappears. Also, frequently, when I click on the IE icon, the page that comes up is blank and I have to go into Tools/Internet Options to get my home page back. I don't know if these problems are related, but I wanted to mention them both in case they are.

I'm still connected to the internet though and when I click on the icon, it opens up to show my connection (that is working). Why is it doing this? I've tried googling it, no use. I have five versions of a Brother printer and four versions of an HP printer, and only one of each is actually good.
