icon like the Excel I have, no icon appear and all I see is white with its file name "file.xls" as example. I have my Microsoft Office properly installed and when I double click it, it normally opens the file. I also restarted my pc many times but still no excel icon. I know that I can access the desktop through the far right of the toolbar, but I want what I've had for years the simple little show desktop icon on the bottom left/middle. I created the "showdesktop.scf" file on the desktop, but I can't seem to get it to pin to the taskbar it will pin to everything else: the start menu, windows explorer, my grandpa's beard but how can I get it to just sit there on the taskbar?

When I first turn on my computer, I click on my homepage icon to take me to my homepage. I only get the toolbar and I have to drag the rest of the page down. If I want to look at something else on that page, I have to pull that page down to read it. If I want to go to another site after pulling down my homepage, the other site will fully load. This started happening over a week ago.

I installed a wireless laser printer. To install...you must connect locally with a USB cable to enter the wireless network's password. This process installed a printer locally and the associated icon was the correct icon. I then set it up wirelessly and when it completed...the icon looked like a fax machine.

The icon I want to use exists somewhere.

I have a toolbar on my taskbar titled "Programs". It has about eight folders in it. I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.

Printer Icon In Printers And Devices Won't Stay Gone?

I have a printer icon in "Printers and Devices" that I can't get rid of and I believe that it is causing conflicts with my being able to use my printer correctly, i.e., I have downloaded drivers for my printer but when troubleshoot the correct printer icon, the results show that there is no printer driver installed for my printer. The offending icon is the "HP Universal Printing PCL 5" icon.(Please see the screenshot in the attachment.) I have tried the "Remove Device" option many times, but the icon reappears. Also, frequently, when I click on the IE icon, the page that comes up is blank and I have to go into Tools/Internet Options to get my home page back. I don't know if these problems are related, but I wanted to mention them both in case they are.

On the bottom right of the desktop on Windows 76, the notification icon for internet usually shows the disconnected icon or the no access icon. I'm still connected to the internet though and when I click on the icon, it opens up to show my connection (that is working). Why is it doing this? I've tried googling it, no use. It's not really a big deal, but knowing if I'm connected without having to click on the icon is nice.
