When I first turn on my computer, I click on my homepage icon to take me to my homepage. I only get the toolbar and I have to drag the rest of the page down. If I want to look at something else on that page, I have to pull that page down to read it. If I want to go to another site after pulling down my homepage, the other site will fully load. This started happening over a week ago.
View 4 RepliesNot too good on computers .When I open an external link such as Tech Guy my tool bar and favourites are above with the Tech Guy link which is open below. When I post my external links on a public thread and open up my own thread posted ,it shows the external link yet again below my toolbar and favourites I always understood when you open an external link it opens in its own page. I have windows 7 on my laptop and desk top and both are showing the toolbar and favourites above as stated with external links. They both share a the same Reuter. I dont usually have the desktop and laptop swithched on at the same time. When I open a favourite link on my toolbar, it does not open into a separate page and yet again the toolbar stays above and the favourite link is open below. Is this normal with windows 7 or how can I ammend to have a separate page with external links.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Starter on HP Notebook and had IE7. IE wouldn't open when I clicked on the icon. Only opens in safe mode (with networking). I ran malware in normal and safe mode, nothing appears wrong. I ran latest updates and thought I had IE8, but no internet access for updates to work. IE still won't open in normal mode. In safe mode, I ran fixit, even reset internet, to no avail. I even ran regsvr32urlmon.dll and Shdocvw.dll without success.

After I was done, anytime I clicked on the normal volume icon, either right or left click, it pops up the "Line In Properties" dialog.On left click, it also shows the normal volume adjuster, but hides it after about 2 secs, preventing me from sliding to adjust volume. I am also inhibited from opening the Playback Devices, Recording Devices, and Sound options that show up with a right click of the icon.As it is extremely frustrating to have to navigate through the Control panel every time I want to change sound levels?

Now, I do not have Movie Maker, don't even ask! But I have a newer version of Live Mail which I dislike -- that ribbon! Can I uninstall the Live software and reinstall the old Live Mail? This install window that pops up is very annoying and if I click cancel it still loads Live Mail. I saw a similar case some time ago when I opened MSN Messenger.

When she turned the laptop back on the first thing she saw was the wording "Windows is loading files", she has never see this before. I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.
