I have a Palm Tungsten E with years of data on it. I now have a business computer with Windows 7 Pro os. I would like to sync my Palm data with the business computer but have not been able to figure out how to accomplish it.
i'm running a windows 7 home premium 64 bit, and for some movies, the video will start in-sync for about 40 minutes, then slowly get farther and farther out of sync, making watching the video un-watchable after another 10 minutes. but it does not do this with all video types. it also does not do this with netflix, Internet, or anything else online.
i'm running a geforce gtx 660m, all drivers are up to date. the files that work are: mp4, files that don't work are: mkv, avi
those are the only files i have tried. it's done this since i got this computer a couple months ago
I had an old PALMONE PDA device with lots of emails and tel. numbers. This has stopped working. I had saved ithe data on a storage card. How can I read the data on my Windows 7 computer to retrieve it.
Windows 7 likes my Palm desktop software just fine. I am having trouble getting the hotsync manager to work, though. I've set it for local USB, but am still not getting it to recognize my PDA. I need v4.1.4 for compatibility with my Tungsten E2. The newer version, 6.2, won't work with it.
Have owned a Palm Z 72 for about 5 years now and have loved it. The only problem I have ever had is an occasional freezing up which does not last long. Now though I am in serious trouble. The little pin inside where you plug in to charge it seems to have broken off and I have no way to charge it.I cannot hot sync anything to my computer because my desktop died and I purchased a laptop with Windows 7. There does not seem to be anything for Windows 7 for or at least I can't find it.I have bought a Palm Pre Plus phone and you would think I could get these 2 to talk to each other, but it's beyond me.
I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop. Prior to formatting, the mouse was working PERFECTLY. After formatting, the mouse is acting much differently. I am using the Synaptics software just as I was before I reinstalled Windows 7, and the mouse pad is MUCH more sensitive than it used to be when my palm hits it. If I type anything in the QWERTY row, my palm never fails to tap the mousepad and it screws everything up (you know how it goes).
I've gone into the Synaptics settings and changed palm check sensitivity and everything else on there that I think would help, and nothing does.
After I used a System Image to restore my laptop, I think I am feeling my right palm rest area of my laptop to feel warmer than what I can recall from before the System Image. The right side of my laptop is where my SSD is located and since I have a SSD instead of a HDD, it shouldn't feel warmer. My fan also is quite hearable now...I think it has to do with my GPU Temp? It is always around mid-40Cs when it is on idle...
What other options might be causing the fan to keep spinning and the right side of the palm rest to be warmer? My GPU load is around 1%...And does my GPU Temp rise even more when I am charging the battery? I just charging the battery and it is up to 51C idle! I do not think there is a build up of dust or other things where the vent it.
got a slight problem. got an acer m5201 comp which i have changed a few parts and upgraded to windows 7 premium 32bit. i have a nividia 9800gt gfx card
all the audio from films, websites and itunes are out of sync by about 1second.
ok recently I have been having trouble with my windows time syncing, and it used to just take a quick trip to cmd and a few codes to unregister and reregister it to fix it... but now I am getting a "The specified service is not installed" error, any knowledge on how to fix this issue?
I get this error message every time i launch Windows Live Mail;
<div> "Sorry. We can't sync your calendar because the web calendar service isn't available right now. We'll sync your calendar as soon as the service becomes available again." </div>
Even though I have reset the virtual's clock, and UNticked the option to take time from the internet, moments after I reset it, it reverts to "it's own" incorrect time. How can I lock-in the time to the correct value ?
It's my first time posting a thread so I hope I'm being clear enough (plenty of experience reading thought so I guess it's time to practice what I have seen so far
I work on a roaming profile environment (Windows 2008 R2). This is the issue: I recently moved (cut/paste) several folders from C: to the desktop, so their content could be saved as part of my profile (not a big deal, regular stuff). Had to restart my device (no errors involved) and after logging back I got a surprise: all the content from one of the folders in question is missing!
Just to be more specific, this is exactly what I did: select, cut and paste no more than 5 folders; just recalled that the one missing the content was renamed before restarting (all the content was still there before this point).
I know important things should NEVER be located in the desktop (my fault, sorry!), but have anyone seen this case before?
I have a Samsung Jack running Windows mobile 6.5 with a 2GB microSD card. In my previous Vista installation I would sync my music library to my phone with media player. When I reformatted and loaded seven I recopied my old music files to my new folders. Since then I have bought 2 new songs off Amazon MP3 and integrated them into my library. When I sync my library to my phone these two songs will not play. Media Player Mobile hangs and then gives me numerous error messages. All my old music plays fine, including songs that I previous purchased from amazon.
I'm having problems with two diferentes Windows 7 Professional computers, I'm opening a shared folder on a WinXP Computer but I don't see any new files, I can see them if I disconnect and reconnect the shared folder. All the computer are logged on windows 2003 R2 server domain.

I'm using the "live" mail service from Microsoft. I want to ask if there is a possibility to synchronize contacts and calendar. My client is a Microsoft Outlook 2010 (maybe in the future a Windows Phone or android). Is there a way?
I have Windows 7 Home Premuim x64 Bit Service Pack 1. I just bought the Xbox 360 wireless controller for windows which comes with a receiver to play on the pc. When I got it I just plugged in the receiver and connected the controller it came with and it worked fine just after using for a while, did it stop connecting to the controller and after that i wouldn't connect anymore so I installed the software that it came with update the driver but still it won't connect then I unistalled the driver and software restarted the computer installed everything again and still I can't get the controller to sync with the receiver. Even tried This but I cant install the different driver because it says driver has already been installed and is up to date:

I live by Outlook and I use 2007 because it syncs with the iPhone 4. If I can't make this work, then I won't buy a new computer now, but to be honest, I really want this to work.
(1) I've read many complaints elsewhere that Outlook 2007 doesn't run on the 64 bit Windows 7 Professional. Does anyone here have any experience with that?
(2) I'm not against buying a new Office 2010 with Outlook 2010 but...again from comments online, it doesn't seem to sync the iPhone 4 properly.
I am having an issue with offline files created offline syncing back to the server. I have set up a network share to be available offline on a client computer. All files are available offline without issue. Here is the issue however. If I set the folder to work offline any file I create in the folder when it is offline just disappears when the folder comes back online, there are no conflicts or sync failures reported in sync center. If I create a new folder offline the folder does sync back to the server. Any changes made to an existing file are also replicated back to the server once the share is back online. So the issue is only with newly created files when the share is offline. I have not been able to replicate this error on any other file server in our environment, However I have recreated the issue with multiple shares with multiple Win 7 clients on this file server.
Steps taken so far. - Checked and reset permission levels on the share. - Recreated new shares from scratch for testing. - Disabled and enabled offline files on the client computer and cleared the offline cache. - Check various registry entry settings. - Disabled cashing on the File server. - Tested with XP the issue does not exist with XP.
The clients are running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit. The File server is Server 2003 Standard 32 bit with SP2.
I'm trying to sync my Sony mp3 player to my music folder on my w7 laptop. I have downloaded a couple of different sync software (freefilesync & dsynchronize), however, neither of these are able to recognize the sony walkman as a destination folder as it is not assigned its own drive letter under the windows file system (it appears only as 'Walkman' in My Computer). What can I do either assign the walkman its own drive letter, or to enable the syncing software to recognize the sony walkman device as a valid destination folder.
I changed jobs but still have my mobile phone. I was syncing with the old job's exchange, but the new job uses blackberry (real happy about that one!).Anyway, I have extra computers laying around the house... was wondering if I bought and loaded up Windows Home Server (with Outlook), does anyone know if I can run it like an Exchange server mainly to keep my phone updated?
basically i am downloading Internet videos which come as mp4 files, i then convert them with no compression with the program "super" to avi. now when i add the videos to wlmm they play fine and i can edit them perfect, but when i turn the project to a wmv file and play the video, some of the clips seem to be out of sync for audio/video. i have spent hours editing these clips as i didn't think the conversion wlmm makes would effect it as when i play the clips in the wlmm portable player the problem doesn't occur.
