I had an old PALMONE PDA device with lots of emails and tel. numbers. This has stopped working. I had saved ithe data on a storage card. How can I read the data on my Windows 7 computer to retrieve it.
I have a Palm Tungsten E with years of data on it. I now have a business computer with Windows 7 Pro os. I would like to sync my Palm data with the business computer but have not been able to figure out how to accomplish it.
Windows 7 will delete "Read-Only" files without providing any warning (unlike XP). Windows Media Player 12 will overwrite files which have the "Read-Only" attribute set. How to make Windows 7 (& WMP) obey the "Read-Only" attribute on files?
When I bought a new computer Windows 7 was installed. My old system was XP. I put my xp files on a USB, but when I try to open them on the 7 it is garbage. How can I make Windows 7 read/open my XP files on a USB?
I'm getting a random BSOD on Windows 7, 64bit OS and get this .dmp file to decipher! how to read this file -- www.ncsnet.com/dmp-file-windows7-6 [...] 65-01.dmp?
Windows 7 likes my Palm desktop software just fine. I am having trouble getting the hotsync manager to work, though. I've set it for local USB, but am still not getting it to recognize my PDA. I need v4.1.4 for compatibility with my Tungsten E2. The newer version, 6.2, won't work with it.
Have owned a Palm Z 72 for about 5 years now and have loved it. The only problem I have ever had is an occasional freezing up which does not last long. Now though I am in serious trouble. The little pin inside where you plug in to charge it seems to have broken off and I have no way to charge it.I cannot hot sync anything to my computer because my desktop died and I purchased a laptop with Windows 7. There does not seem to be anything for Windows 7 for or at least I can't find it.I have bought a Palm Pre Plus phone and you would think I could get these 2 to talk to each other, but it's beyond me.
win 7 64 bit I have suddenly not been no able to read vbs files...I have re-registered both windows and java script via an elevated command and both are said to be running - succeeded But when I then run a vbs script which I know to be 'good' ...using open with and choosing Microsoft base script host I get message as per picture.
If you export keys, etc, from the regisrty...is there a way to view or explore those exported or save keys, etc, separate and apart from the main registry filIf I click on saved *.reg (exported keys) I get "do you want to make changes to the registry" pop-up
I have a new Windows 7 machine, and I copied all my data from my XP machine over my network (simple drag-drop in Windows Explorer). Now all of those files open as read-only, even though they have no read-only attribute set on them. This affects all programs and file types. My new machine has only one user account, administrator. What happened?
I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop. Prior to formatting, the mouse was working PERFECTLY. After formatting, the mouse is acting much differently. I am using the Synaptics software just as I was before I reinstalled Windows 7, and the mouse pad is MUCH more sensitive than it used to be when my palm hits it. If I type anything in the QWERTY row, my palm never fails to tap the mousepad and it screws everything up (you know how it goes).
I've gone into the Synaptics settings and changed palm check sensitivity and everything else on there that I think would help, and nothing does.
Recently Ms-word is not supporting old saved documents, I got continiously error of unsupported format, I tried to convert the file format to .docx but it's not working
I have an image of my the hard drive from my XP system on an external drive. I'd like to copy the entire file structure to the windows 7 hard drive, retaining the folder structure. Then I'd like to set all the folders, sub-folders, and files to read-only to protect myself from accidentally modifying or adding anything.
I am OWNER and the only user at this point. Will probably have one other user in the future whom I will want to also not have permission to modify these folders and files.
Recently i have changed the permissions of a folder (not to make it used by the users of the system),due to some problem with OS i reinstalled the OS,then recognised that i have changed the permissions to the folder and with the admin rights of the new OS i am unable to read the files in the folder.
I have encountered BSOD many times and I am not sure what has caused this. Can someone please check the minidump files for me since I do not know how to read them myself.
I can't save anything. All my word files are read only.
