Can't Find Files That Burned On To CD
Jul 1, 2011I burned files to a blank CD, when I put the CD back in, it shows it's full but I can't see any content. Please help me recover my files?

How To Delete Files Waiting To Be Burned To CD
Nov 17, 2010I've read all the treads explaining how to delete files waiting to be burned to CD, but my problem is that the folder for these files is empty. Not only that, but the message says that they are waiting to be burned to a CD/DVD reader, not a burner. I suspect that I'll have to edit the registry.

Sep 4, 2011I burned a couple of files with Nero on my Windows 7 32bit computer and they do not show up on the disk when I reinsert it and look for the files. If I restart the PC then they show up. I burned the same files with CDBurnerXP and they show up fine the first time.

Nov 7, 2011I have an HP Probook 4525s, running Windows 7, with a DVD-RW drive. I attempted to open a burned CD-R that had photos on it, but when I stuck the disc in, and attempted to open it, it said it was a blank disc. I was able to open the disc on another computer just fine. I was wondering why I wasn't able to open it on mine.

Looking at the File arrangement setting I discovered it was indeed set to [artist]-[title].So I changed it to [track] and then burned another CD. But it ordered them by title again. Next, I cleared the mp3 files from CD writer and dragged them back again thinking this must be done after setting the file arrangement.But upon burning the CD, it still was alphabetically ordered by title.I checked the docs and didn't see any reference to File arrangement.

I have 4 system image discs and a system recovery discs that I burned immediately after booting the machine up for the first time about a year ago.What I want to do is format the drive and use whichever discs I'm supposed to use to reinstall the OS. It appears that the pictures move faster off of the DVD than they do when created in media. This is the case whether played on a DVD player or a computer however when played in media it works perfectly.

Apr 7, 2012I have a new Asus laptop. When I went to burn recovery discs as advised, the instructions popping up on screen were not clear and I ended up moving the files to the temporary burn folder. Eventually I figured out how to proceed with the real burn and did end up with my recovery discs, however I still have the files in temporary burn and am being notified about them every time I turn on my computer. I'm scared if I remove them I will be deleting the actual recovery files.

Sep 12, 2012My wifes computer packed in so I removed her hard drive and connected it as a second hard drive in my machine. I rebooted and left the room for a minute. When I returned the screen was scrolling in what I'll call dos mode and stating "critical error deleting file. I pulled the plug in panic before I saw what was being deleted and from what drive. I removed the second drive and rebooted no problem. Is there a log that shows what files were being deleted?

Sep 19, 2011When I click on the Windows icon in the lower left corner of my screen, a menu opens. At the bottom of that menu is a line that says "all programs". It opens into a menu of programs on my machine.
Inside of "all programs" is listed a folder called Microsoft. Inside of it is Outlook 2010.
However, I recently wanted to send an email using Outlook 2010 by clicking on a link on a website. A window opened that would allow me to select the email client I wanted to use from a list of programs. But I can't find Outlook 2010.
When I click the Windows icon in the lower left corner of my screen & then on "computer" and then on C drive, there is listed in C drive two folders, Programs & Programs (x86). However, the Microsoft folder containing Outlook 2010 is not in either one of them.
When I did a search for Outlook 2010 on my C drive, the result said it can be found at C:ProgramDataMicrosoftStart MenuProgramsMicrosoft Office
However, I cick the Windows icon in the lower left corner of my screen & then on "computer" and then on C drive, I cannot find a ProgramData directory. So, where is my Ourlook 2010?

All fine so far.So I decide to search my C: drive for this file, just to see if I have multiple copies, and possibly one might be bogus. I pull up an explorer window, type csrss into the search box, and it finds NOTHING...Now, I can go find one instance of csrss.exe: it's in the windows/system32 folder... and when I search ONLY this folder, it shows up in the search.
