Sep 29, 2009I installed Windows 7. Everything seems to fine but the problem is my audio driver. I didn't find c-media 9880 audio driver for windows 7. My onboard is Gigabyte-8I915G Duo.

Jul 11, 2009I've been using the 7260 version for a week now and suddenly WMP12 won't play any audio. I have not installed anything to my knowledge that could have affected this. I haven't intalled any codecs or anything like that. Does anyone have any idea what may have happened and how I can remedy this? I have since installed a k-lite codec pack to see if it would fix it but no change. Hope I haven't complicated the problem further.

May 8, 2012I have recently purchased a PCTV Nanostick DVD-T2 290e I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I use Windows Media Center for almost everything. I run a media center machine in my lounge through my Sony AV Amp onto my HD TV.I bought the Nanostick to watch �Freeview HD� programmes when watching the TV through the Media Center � I also have a Sony Freeview Plus system that the Mrs uses.I installed the Nanostick with relatively no issues and as described by many user reviews Media Center picked up the new USB tuner and scanned all the new channels and I was presented with all the HD channels. The issue I have is that there is no audio sound from the HD channels but perfect video. SD works fine.The software that comes with the Nanostick works fine � both sound and vision are perfect for the HD channels.
As mentioned, I run my Media Centre lots. I have an extensive DVD and BD collection stored on a server and DVD and BD all play perfectly through Arcsoft Total Media Theatre 5 � with no issues on either SD or HD. My sound card is built into my motherboard and that sends the audio signal to my gfx card and that in turn passes it through to my Sony AV Amp that decodes the audio to be heard on my 5.1 set up.
Windows Media Center Audio Test With SPDIF?
Jul 11, 2012I'm using HP Pavilion dv6114tx laptop which has SPDIF audio support which is connected to Logitech 5.1 audio system thru 3.5mm three audio jacks.
When i play the song/movie i get all the speakers and subwoofer working fine. But when i test the audio thru the Speakers Test thru Windows Media Center all the speakers are working except the subwoofer.

2) Inserts into PCI-slot makes computer auto-start.
3) Windows does not auto install the card, but the drives on the CD works perfectly and the sound is fine. No problems in device manage.
4) But when I shutdown, the computer restats. Happens every time. Have to shutdown manually on the button.
5) Tried a different PCI-slot, but problem persists.
6) Tried temporarily removing the card and windows shuts down as intended.

(re)associate Audio/video Files With Windows 7 Media Player 12?
Feb 6, 2012After unsolvable problems with VLC player (constant crash reports) I want to move back to Windows Media Player as my standard program to play audio & video files.But whatever I click and do, I cannot find a way to (re)associate the 'VLC'-files to WMP12.If I rightclick a 'VLC'-file in a folder, I can select 'open with' and then select WMP. But only for one instance! If i want to make WMP the default opener, I get this error message: 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel' - Strange message, because this file HAS a default program already, I just want to change it!I have desperately been looking for an option Windows had in the past, where you can (in explorer, I think) get a list of ALL file extensions, then select which program to use to open a specific extension, then check the box

Audio Being Delayed Only In Media Player Classic
Apr 28, 2012Some (not all) videos which I play are having their audio delayed by 3.5 seconds and the video starts from 3.5 seconds itself(but shows as 00:00:00).I can fix this by using the setting audio delay function in MPC as -3500. This happens only in MPC. When I play it in Windows media player it works normally.I am guessing there is some problem in video encoding but then it works fine in Window media player. Most video files I have is in AVI format. But I encountered this problem in a MP4 video too. Another thing worth noticing is that when I try converting the problem files into a different format, it fails.

Aug 23, 2012how i can reinstall my main audio drivers so they stay installed and so i don't have to uninstall and reinstall them at every startup. it still says it's in use if i try to test it before reinstalling. to reinstall it i've been going to playback devices, right click properties, click properties on the new window, change settings on the next, last window click the driver tab and uninstall. then i go to device manager and scan for changes. it's really a pita DISREGARD THIS: ok so i've been trying to port audio from firefox to reaper + asio4all and found that i can do it with VAC. i first tried another program called virtual audio streaming but that didn't work. when i got VAC i uninstalled VAS first. since i've had VAC installed i can't listen to anything over my monitor's speakers (have computer hooked to monitor with hdmi). if i have "Digital Audio (hdmi)" set as the default audio device, the audio won't even start. for example if a start a movie in vlc and then realize there's no sound i can't just switch the default device to something else (usually can do this) i have to stop the video select a different device and start the video again. flash stuff online just won't play until i change the device. if i try to go to the properties of "Digital Audio (hdmi)" > advanced > and hit test it tells me the device is being used by another program. this was making me think that maybe it was because VAC was using that device to port the audio from windows or something. didn't really make complete sense but i uninstalled VAC, restarted my pc and it still does the same thing. i tried uninstalling the drivers (windows default drivers, the downloadable drivers IDT high def audio cause problems with other programs so i don't use them and would prefer not to) and restarting so they would reinstall but that did nothing.

Ive looked around the forums and google and found that this can be a usb 2.0 , 3.0 problem with people just switching to the 2.0 slot and it working. However this does not work for her and so I looked around more and found it might be needing the drivers for the USB ports had her insert the disc that came with the motherboard however non of the setups in the usb folder work and im not sure which specific file she needs to choose to get the driver to install or 100 % if that is even the issue. Jan 7, 2012I have just built my first pc, and I am stuck at installing windows 7 . Here's what happens, I am trying to install off a USB stick as I don't have a dvd drive for this build. It will load into the setup and it'll stop on a screen requiring me to load drivers.
Here is what it displays:
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now".
So I found drivers for my mobo Asus M5A97, I select them and then after I click next this message appears: "No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media".
I don't know what to do! I've tried all I can think of!! Nothing seems to work! I am trying to install windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I've tried installing windows vista 32 bit, and its been saying the same thing as well! I found the drivers here: [URL].
