View 1 Repliesevery time i run windows i get two drivers with a yellow exclamination mark beside it.
Conexant does not help you at all on their website, and HP does not help at all because i have windows 7 not their 5 year old windows MCE
The two drivers i need are
Conexant 2388x MPEG Encoder (Dual-Input)
Conexant 23800 Video Capture (Blackbird NTSC Dual-Input)
each time i try to uninstall and reinstall them i get an error.
the software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the Hardware vendor for a new driver (Code 48)
This is weird because it worked fine on windows xp, but not windows 7 no drivers for it??? and if not how would i request them to get that driver?
I have a USB TV Tuner which works fine to watch TV in WMC. However, when a programme is set to record, and my laptop goes into sleep mode, I believe it turns off the USB TV Tuner, and therefore the programme doesn't record. WMC support center says that the program is able to record when the computer is in sleep so I know it is not the program which is the issue.
View 1 Replies View Relatedverything was working fine, i could use media center for watching TV, recording. ect .. all of it. I didn't install any updates, or add any new hardware or anything. I should do the computer started it back up, turn on WMC went to live TV and all i get is a BLACK WINDOW, with sound .. but no picutre
OS Windows 7 64 Bit ATI Radeon HD 4670 - Last driver update July 7th 2012 Driver version 8.970.100.300 TV Tuner - Hauppauge 950Q Mother Board - GA-H55M-S2V V1.4
I'm so at a lost as to why video won't work. I use WINTV7 and everything is perfect. Like to use WMC as it is had your tv listings and and quickly record what i want.
I have two computers. One a year old and one brand new. Both are running Windows 7 64 bit and both are running the exact same version of Windows Media Center. On my old computer I have my Windows Media Center TV configured for channel 3 and the cable attached to my internal TV Tuner card. Then, to access different channels I simply use the remote controller that came with my cable company set top box. Never any problems. Now, I am trying for three days to have Windows Media Center set up the TV stations on my new computer.
The device manager is finding the TV Tuner Card that I installed. All the drivers are up to date. I can use WinTV to find and play channels so I know there is signal coming from the cable...the same cable that feeds my old computer...I simply unhooked it and attached it to my new computer. So, it's driving me crazy that each time I try to scan for channels I wait for 10 minutes each time only to get a message at the end saying "no tv stations found" or something like that. What could I possible be doing wrong since everything is the same between the old and the new computer?
I'm looking for some advice for a TV Tuner Card/Non Media Center.
I would like it to work both cable and over the air.
I don't have media center
Remote included
Able to record
no radio necessary
I guess that's it.
P.S. I have 2 9800 nvidia cards if that matters.
I installed a USB DVB-T TV stick together with the supplied software and driver. On loading the software it found the tuner and scanned and found all the channels and the TV appears on the screen. However, when I try to use MC it says there is no tuner available. Devices & Printers lists an Unspecified Device but names it as a TV stick and says the driver is fine and everything is working normally. Troubleshooter says there is no problem to troubleshoot. I have unplugged and replugged the device several times and have also rebooted several times with no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used ATI Catalyst Media Center in 2007 & could record scheduled TV programs. I recently tried it again with Windows 7. I am now able to record live TV programs & burn playable DVDs but I can't record scheduled TV programs. I do get an icon saying that the color scheme has reverted to Windows Basic but it looks the same to me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a relative novice at this. But I would like a recommendation for a tuner card for my windows media center. Currently I am trying to use a hauppauge 1250 tuner card but am not able to get digital channels, only analog. Am using it with a digital cable box with coax connection. This card is 3 years old. Would one of the newer cards work better for hd tv on my computer? I have downloaded latest drivers/software from Hauppauge.

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v video card, I think it's series is 4650 but I'm not sure.
Catalyst Control Center says it's driver packaging version is 8.742, I imagine that's pretty old.
Is using the AMD Driver Auto-detect the best way to update my video card? It says:
Graphics Hardware: Mobility Radeon HD 4xxx Series
The best driver for this device is: catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe
Is this right for me? or is there another way to update this card.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been having this issue with multiple versions of Windows 7 (beta, RC, and now retail), so I'm wondering what the issue could be. I did a search for this but didn't find anything - if there is a thread, please close this and direct me to the right place!Anyways, I have a Radeon HD 4850 and am using Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I have been trying to install the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) for quite some time now, but it always ends in the same result - a blue screen. I've downloaded several different versions since the public release of Windows 7 (tried about 5 driver versions) and each has been an equal failure. The only way I update my driver is by extracting the files from the CCC downloader and updating them via the device manager which works fine.

I am about give up. I have read every website and tried many idea but nothing can fix this.
Using media center I get a very loud static. I have fixed it many times but then it comes back. I have reloaded the system and used only defaults and it works for awhile but then it comes back.
I have tried both the windows drivers and Reltek Vista driver. Every other sound works great (CD, MP3, DVD and Pandora). I use this system mostly for recording off DIRECTV.
I have tried change many setting as other treads have suggested.
I installed CCC recently. When I restarted my computer it started becoming unresponsive and locked up alot.
