Acer ASPIRE M3802 (details to follow) starts making buzzing noises while I am playing videos, especially when buffering multiple videos at a time e.g. in multiple tabs of browser. This starts happening at irregular intervals, sometimes just after 10 mnts, sometimes after about an hour or so. The system actually freezes every few seconds. This continues till the system displays BSOD or I restart it. After restart, it is fine for quite a long time but eventually the problem starts again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a laptop running windows 7, connected to an external hard drive. I keep all of my .avi files on the external hard drive. I have set up sharing with the xbox - it picks up files in the following folders:
Downloads
Public Videos
Recorded TV
Videos in these folders can be played on the xbox. However, it doesn't pick up any of the shared folders in the external hard drive (G:Movies etc). The files on the external drive have been added to the WMP library and show up there no problem, and I have manually set the folders to be shared.
on my computer there are two accounts- an administrator and a standard account. everything works fine on the admin account, but the standard account is having some video problems. i can view Internet fine, but if i want to watch other streamed videos it won't let me. all i get is a black square where the player is or the black box with an 'x' in the corner. it also sometimes won't let me listen to streamed songs.
i got this windows 7 computer last year and i have had these problems from day one. every site i go to just talks about looking if there are parental controls on your account. i have checked and there are no controls placed on the standard account. there really isn't any difference between the two accounts except that one is called admin and the other is a normal account. i just tried to switch my standard account to an admin one and i still couldn't get the videos to work.
I recently had lots of bsod. At the beginning, it was only when I was playing Deus Ex so I supposed it was because of the graphic card that was too hot, but it's now happening for no reason. Actually, the last ones I got happened when I was just watching streaming videos. On Vimeo I think, but I don't believe it comes from the website. Is it possible that the graphic card reacts weirdly and makes my computer crash when I'm only using it to read videos on internet ? I'm not even sure this is the reason why it crashed. I watch lots of videos. It seems that this is all kind of BSODs. Last week, I had two irql_not_less_or_equal involving disk.sys andfilesys.dll. Today I had two other BSODs, notably one system service exception involving fltmgr.
In addition to that, my Windows doesn't save the minidumps anymore. The last one I got are from 9/14. I can send those to you if you want to, even though I'm not sure it's really useful since they are kind of outdated.I have Windows Ultimate x64 SP2, I mounted (is that the correct word ?) the computer myself approximatively one year and a half ago and didn't have any issue for a long time, I believe Windows 7 was the only OS on this computer and I don't recall re-installing it, but I'm not really sure, is there any way to verify this in the system ?
Stuttering while streaming videos and playing games?
View 7 Replies View Relatedeverytime i watch any online video the stream locks up on an arbitrary time (usually within a few seconds, but sometimes well into the video). refreshing the screen sometimes works, but more often than not, the video locks up at the exact same place. i've tried updating my video drivers. i've ran every scan i can think of, updated my flash player, cleaned my registry and i am totally at a loss as to why i'm having this issue. this issue happens with the vast majority of web videos i watch from netflix, hulu, Internet, you name it. this issue happens in ie and firefox. i have the latest versions of each. it was happening with previous versions as well.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have done a fresh install with hopes of it possibly being a driver error but I believe it may be an hardware issue as I just had another BSOD while playing a game. On a side note this is usually when I get the BSOD either playing a game or trying to livestream, which leaves me to believe it maybe is a RAM/GPU error.
Anyways I've attached the required rar/zip files from that program I ran from how to post BSOD thread
This BSOD only started happening when we started streaming videos from our PC to our Roku 2 using PMS(Plex Media Server).Sometimes, not all the time, we will be 5 minutes into a video and it'll BSOD. The 3 most recent were caused during that time. The first 4 BSOD's in my attachment I believe were from driver issues. Maybe you can verify that as well.I've posted in the PLEX forums about it but didn't have any more info other than what bluescreenview provides. I'm guessing it's a conflict with avast AV or other third party software. I searched for an update for the NIC driver since tcpip.sys is mentioned, but there are none since 2009.
My specs:
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Retail
Asus P5Q Pro
Intel Q6600 2.4GHz (OC to 3.0) quad-core
ATi HD3870
Seasonic 620W PSU
Western Digital 1.5TB Black HDD
I am not at all sure of how to proceed..

I get a BSOD/STOP error when streaming Hulu. The BSOD will appear after streaming roughly 10 minutes of video, then the system is set to restart so it will restart. After prompting safe mode etc. it will start as normal and we will be able to watch a video on Hulu plus all the way through with no errors [code] I moved files from an XP machine to this system using an external hard drive and Windows easy move (inbuilt Windows 7 wizard). I have used Lenovo's One Key recovery to recover the system but the BSOD still appears after a successful run. I do not remember if the BSOD occurred after the file move or right out of the box but I suspect that it was due to the file move. My IT guy at work has recommended a full system restore. I suppose I can search for a thread that explains such a procedure but wanted to know if a more knowledgeable person could come up with a different fix.In addition , and maybe related I cannot complete an update using Windows Update. I can download the updates just fine. But when it comes to applying them, the system will begin applying the updates with the progress bar, but after 2 minutes, I will receive a fail message everytime.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI began seeing a blue screen about 5 months ago when I first got my computer, and after posting here with one BSOD report, I was informed of the fact that Avast Virus scanning software could be the culprit. After uninstalling the software, I no longer received the problem. 5 months later, the issue has come back. I've recently installed Fraps and Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5 on my machine. I saw the BSOD appear once again 2 days ago and it seems to appear while streaming video and installing a game. I also see my machine hard-lock while streaming video from time to time, but I think the BSOD does not officially trigger, so hard-locking is the result.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I am streaming a video online the screen will get fuzzy and freeze. I will then get the blue screen which will mention that there is a problem with my display driver. This has happened many times. I won't be able to do anything after that. I can't even turn off the computer. I just have to wait for the battery to die so that it will turn off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy computer has recently started giving me the BSOD. The laptop was new store built about 2 months, BSOD only started about 1 week ago, and has happened several times. View 4 Replies View Relatedjust recently bought a new computer and encountered some problems on video playback and on games. on videos the video plays normally until some time the videos becomes jittery with green and pink lines, if i leave it that way it usually results into a "display driver has stopped responding...." or it goes bsod. this also happens on Internet and other video streaming sites. on games it's pretty much the same but it crashes and goes bsod or display driver has blah blah.... i pretty much updated all the drivers needed mobo, video card and win7 updates and it still haunts me, but then again i can still play videos and do gaming

On my laptop I can run a game and log into my account and pick a character but as soon as it loads the character i get blue screened, it sometimes happens when I am watching a movie or something but only on the rare occasion but it happens every time i try to play a game. Earlier tonight I restored to factory settings and all was going well and I was installing a game until at about 54% I got a blue screen. My laptop is 64-bit and has the original operating system on it which is the pre-installed version that came on it.
