Jul 3, 2012I started getting BSOD two weeks ago. As far as I can remember the first time I had a BSOD was on the day I installed Max Payne 3 (I read somewhere that the some guy had also this problem when he installed max payne). There were two occasions that I got a BSOD upon starting Max Payne 3. But lately I'm getting BSOD when doing low-load stuffs like browsing with no other apps opened. I've already done memtest with 10 passes with no errors. I'm 24 hours prime95 stable. I just don't get it! I've manually set my timings for my ram. I'm not doing any overclock. Everything is on stock settings.

Mar 11, 2012Since the 7th, I've been getting crashes whenever I leave my PC idle for a long amount of time, from WhoCrashed, it appears to be different error codes every time.
So far, I've tried:
-Checking for driver updates
-Running a disc check on both of my hard drives
-Running a system scan
And I'm just about to run Memtest on my ram sticks.
My specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit OEM (No reinstall since I got my rig ~Jan 2011)
AMD Phenom II X4 925 (at 3.15ghz)
4x2 GB RAM (Replaced since August 2011)

Sep 2, 2012I have gone through the process of trying to figure out my BSOD problems. I ended up reinstalling Windows 7. After installing the latest drivers for everything I thought I had the problem solved.. not so much. The problems are still plaguing me, so I find myself here.

Feb 9, 2012The poblems started a few weeks ago when i upgraded the CPU and the GPU. The vendors of the components and the motherboard stayed the same. (E6550 --> E8500 and HD4850 --> HD6850)It had some crashes before but now it got realy bad so i reinstalled the system, updated MB bios, dowloaded drivers from vendor sites, updated everything and only installed basic 3rd party drivers and software.The crashes still remained they happen more often when the computer is under heavy load (3D operations, games running), but they also occur if im playing a video or just use a web browser.I ran memtest, chkdisk but nothing, then furmark and intelliburn but no effect.The remaining drivers came up clean with verifier, and i looked after anything that came up from the crashdumps but my windbg knowledge is limited.

Nov 11, 2009Windows 7 is freezing. At first I thought that it's random. I made a clean install but the problem was still there. Then I figured, that windows only freezes if I am running utorrent with storage on external WD mybook. Quite weird.

Apr 1, 2012Running windows 7 ultimate 32bit full retail.
Asus M4A77TD.
Radeon 3850.
AMD Phenom ii black edition.
2 x 2GB Patriot G2 PC3-10666 1333MHz.
Running Windows 7 for about 3-4 months after old motherboard died. System was idle for about 2 hours when screen went blank for about a second, then replaced by bluescreen.

Got this from event viewer. This has happened a couple of times intermittently, but let it go...til now, not sure if its the same error message, as this is the first time I got BSOD while system idle. Also, have had other erratic behaviour e.g.: while transferring large files to external drive transfer would stop leaving me thinking all done, this would happen when power options set to power down monitor after 30 minutes. Have set monitor to never sleep and problem solved, but maybe worth a mention here. Also, have noticed warning in event viewer, "dll's for all apps being loaded". Using avast free av, and noticed avast real time scanner going crazy with 100%...maybe its scanning all these dll's at that time but again not sure, just maybe worth a mention.

I just want to know if it's cpu's problem or my nv video card (or driver)because I googled it, some says 124 also could be caused by video card,so all I need to know is which one has the problem, cpu or video card.

Apr 11, 2012My computer has recently been "randomly" giving me a BSOD. Now, I am pretty sure it is happening because I also recently overclocked my cpu, however, I did have problems before overclocking it (although not as often). I find my computer tends to BSOD either overnight, when I only have Folding@Home running, or during the day when all I have running is Chrome (F@H is running, but paused). I have also noted that my gpu (1x GeForce GTX 560 Ti) almost always fails while running F@H in the first 24hrs the system is up. However, my main concern is the BSOD.Now the reason I stated that I have had problems before oc my cpu is that ever since I first powered it up nearly 10 months ago I have had problems with the computer freezing on me. Note this was before I oc my cpu, and even before I installed F@H. Originally I thought it might be bad memory, but testing has ruled this out I just restarted my computer, and it now only detects 4.00 GB of installed memory, when it should detect 8.00 GB. The system will hang, sometimes for a few seconds, but most often for a couple of minutes, before suddenly "fixing" itself. This has, on occasion, led to a BSOD, though most of the time it resolves itself. Also, on occasion it doesn't fix itself and I have to do a hard reboot. After a while I decided to have task manager open on my second monitor at all times so that I could monitor the cpu usage and memory, incase something odd happened when it froze. Doing so, I noticed that every time the computer froze, all four cores of my cpu would shoot up to 100% and then drop back down after the system resolved itself. However, memory usage never changed (note this was also done with F@H not running). Also, the source of the freezing seemed to change. Sometimes my monitors would go black for a few seconds and then everything would come back. A message would pop up on my task bar stating something along the lines of "your graphics display driver/kernel has crashed and successfully recovered." Other times, a window would pop up stating that "the memory instruction could not be read" and giving me some error code. Still other times the system would resolve itself and nothing would happen, no error message or temporary black screens.

Sep 29, 2012My friend's computer have many crash always with bug check code 0x00000124. For example today he has 8 BSOD! I've attach here the dump analyze from MEMORY.DMP (500mb of it) and SF Diagnostic Logs. I've run a Prime95 test and appear pass it. I've reinstall the OS (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) with all update drivers, and update the firmware too. At the moment I can't run Memtest because don't have an empty CD / USB.

BSOD Playing Battlefield 3, Error 0x00000124
Jan 24, 2012everytime I play Battlefield 3 I get in max. 30 minutes a BSOD. And it ONLY happens with this game, everything else works perfectly fine without crashes or whatsoever.This has been going on since half December, which is about a week after I updated my drivers. It first happened once or twice, where I though that it was just coincidence, but now it happens every time I try to play Battlefield 3.Since it happened a bit after updating the drivers, I thought it was that. Today most of the drivers needed to be updated again, including the infamous Realtek sound drivers that are supposed to give problems with Battlefield 3, so I updated them hoping it would solve the problem. No dice, I still get a BSOD when playing Battlefield 3.Dump files are in the attachment. I didn't include the perfmon HTML file since it refuses to generate a report, even when the Performance Logs & Alert service is set on manual.

Feb 25, 2012it crashes suddenly and many times and it has given me this problems since i bought it,so i decided to post here to look up for the solution.
My computer's OS is windows 7 x64,it has 8 GB of ram and an Intel I5 Quad core processor 3.20 GHz.
I tried fixing the problem by updating drivers,searching for viruses,setting my pc to low power consumption,improving the heat dissipation with many fans and a new case and cleaning inside it,running chkdsk,uninstalling some useless programs and doing RAM tests but nothing of this worked.
