instability in Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I've had four crashes in a 3 hour period today and a few yesterday. Anywhere from browsing to playing various games. I built the computer recently and have had the same results with two different power supplies. A Thermaltake 430W and my currently installed OCZ 750W.All parts are new and windows 7 Ultimate x64 is a fresh, clean, install.Biostar T5 XE Motherboard, Intel i3-540, 8GB Gskill memory, 1 TB WD Black Caviar HD, EVGA Geforce GTX 550 Ti (2GB), OCZ750FTY.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy computer has recently been "randomly" giving me a BSOD. Now, I am pretty sure it is happening because I also recently overclocked my cpu, however, I did have problems before overclocking it (although not as often). I find my computer tends to BSOD either overnight, when I only have Folding@Home running, or during the day when all I have running is Chrome (F@H is running, but paused). I have also noted that my gpu (1x GeForce GTX 560 Ti) almost always fails while running F@H in the first 24hrs the system is up. However, my main concern is the BSOD.Now the reason I stated that I have had problems before oc my cpu is that ever since I first powered it up nearly 10 months ago I have had problems with the computer freezing on me. Note this was before I oc my cpu, and even before I installed F@H. Originally I thought it might be bad memory, but testing has ruled this out I just restarted my computer, and it now only detects 4.00 GB of installed memory, when it should detect 8.00 GB. The system will hang, sometimes for a few seconds, but most often for a couple of minutes, before suddenly "fixing" itself. This has, on occasion, led to a BSOD, though most of the time it resolves itself. Also, on occasion it doesn't fix itself and I have to do a hard reboot. After a while I decided to have task manager open on my second monitor at all times so that I could monitor the cpu usage and memory, incase something odd happened when it froze. Doing so, I noticed that every time the computer froze, all four cores of my cpu would shoot up to 100% and then drop back down after the system resolved itself. However, memory usage never changed (note this was also done with F@H not running). Also, the source of the freezing seemed to change. Sometimes my monitors would go black for a few seconds and then everything would come back. A message would pop up on my task bar stating something along the lines of "your graphics display driver/kernel has crashed and successfully recovered." Other times, a window would pop up stating that "the memory instruction could not be read" and giving me some error code. Still other times the system would resolve itself and nothing would happen, no error message or temporary black screens.

My computer suddenly hanged while I was using GMAIL, and after a few seconds, it restarted. I didn't even get to see the BSOD itself (the blue screen) before it restarted.

everytime I play Battlefield 3 I get in max. 30 minutes a BSOD. And it ONLY happens with this game, everything else works perfectly fine without crashes or whatsoever.This has been going on since half December, which is about a week after I updated my drivers. It first happened once or twice, where I though that it was just coincidence, but now it happens every time I try to play Battlefield 3.Since it happened a bit after updating the drivers, I thought it was that. Today most of the drivers needed to be updated again, including the infamous Realtek sound drivers that are supposed to give problems with Battlefield 3, so I updated them hoping it would solve the problem. No dice, I still get a BSOD when playing Battlefield 3.Dump files are in the attachment. I didn't include the perfmon HTML file since it refuses to generate a report, even when the Performance Logs & Alert service is set on manual.

it crashes suddenly and many times and it has given me this problems since i bought it,so i decided to post here to look up for the solution.
My computer's OS is windows 7 x64,it has 8 GB of ram and an Intel I5 Quad core processor 3.20 GHz.
I tried fixing the problem by updating drivers,searching for viruses,setting my pc to low power consumption,improving the heat dissipation with many fans and a new case and cleaning inside it,running chkdsk,uninstalling some useless programs and doing RAM tests but nothing of this worked.
so lately ive been getting BSOD all the time,i cant play a game more than 15 min before i get BSOD, and when im surfing it takes a little bit longer but after an hour or two of doing NOTHINg on the computer, i still get bluescreen. i dont know what to do, i think its the graphic card that is messing with me. because if i touch it, i almost get burnt, its really hot. error code is stop: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa8007c9c028, 0x00000000f2000000, 0x00000000002008f) ive never posted here, nor do i know alot about this

View 3 Replies View RelatedI reformatted my computer multiple times, yet my computer seems to BSOD randomly.What happenes is that everything becomes unresponsive; cant alt+tab, cant ctrl+alt+del etc etc. everything freezes randomly... then boom, BSOD. its happened twice, with no apparent pattern.And then, when it restarts, it tries booting but then it goes into the boot selection screen and my SSD is nowhere to be found. I have to power off then power on again for it to boot up and log in.

This started happening last night while i was playing Borderlands 2, it has happened at idle, playing just about any game in my library, during downloads and just browsing the web. I changed all of my accessible drivers, and it continued to happen, so i moved all of my personal files onto my external HDD. I re installed windows on my SSD (did not reformat) and reformatted my HDD. I re installed my drivers, re-enabled SLI and it ran fine for about an hour, just downloading WoW, and then happened again twice.

I've been getting this for over 3-4 months now.. and I have done a system restore twice and it's not helping.. the BSOD still lives. The BSOD occurs in a random fashion, even during browsing the internet with just a few tabs, sometimes during idle (happened a few times when I leave home and left my laptop idle)I notice that every time the BSOD is about to appear, my laptop fan goes all noisy. Not sure if that actually has anything to do with it.I've even tried running on Ubuntu and got crashes too.. although with no description.. it just froze. Also when I tried to run perfmon /report, I get an error when trying to generate a report saying:"An error occured while attempting to generate the report.The wait for the report generation tool to finish has timed out. "

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently built a new PC of which I've had to replace the motherboard already due to it being faulty. Since installing the new motherboard, re-installing all components and re-installing Win 7 on my SSD, I've been getting random BSOD's 1-2 times per day, bug check code 1e. My computer will not go in to sleep mode either without a BSOD - albeit a different bug check code: 0a. I had no such problems on my old board leading me to believe it is a motherboard issue, albeit I'm trying to verify this in order to be able to RMA it if needed.

The BSOD just happens randomly for no apparent reason. There is nothing in event viewer indicating what the problem could be.
I am currently running windows home premium x64. I have gotten the BSOD occasionally inthe past but today it has happened numerous times. I recently updated my graphics card driver, however, i had the problem before that. my specs are

I have been getting random BSOD's while I am away from my computer, never while it is in use. They have been occurring about twice a month but I have had two in the past 24 hrs.
I was using old IDE drivers and I should switch to AHCI but I am not sure if that is the problem and I believe I would have to reinstall windows in order to make the switch.

I am encountering a random crash during computer use. I can not seem to correlate this with a specific action or process, i.e. it happens at different times doing different things. Below I am including three of the BSOD error messages. I have tried changing out RAM and have made sure that my temperatures are good in the case. I ran memtest for 4 hours with no errors, also prime95 did not produce and crash.

BSOD's seem to be becoming quite a regular occurance, first ones where usually when playing MMO's with TS/Mumble active but recently they have been happening whilst watching streams and at other random times.

I've attach here the dump analyze from MEMORY.DMP (500mb of it) and SF Diagnostic Logs. I've run a Prime95 test and appear pass it. I've reinstall the OS (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) with all update drivers, and update the firmware too. At the moment I can't run Memtest because don't have an empty CD / USB.

Ive recently built my own computer, however at random times when im on it, it will blue screen with a 0x0000004e error. I have Windows 7 professional 64 bit and ive also attached all the information including a few dumps from the times it has crashed. It has happened before a few times but i reinstalled the os so the dumps went with it. I will add more dumps each time it does blue screen. Also I downloaded BlueScreenViewer and it came back with a majority of the problems coming from a driver called "ntoskrnl". I have ran memtest for about 8 hours (With about 8 passes) and came back with no errors so i do believe it is a driver problem other than that, I have no clue what the problemI went on to run OCCT for 30 minutes, whilst it was testing it stopped and said there was an error in core 1. I then ran it again and it stopped again saying that there was an error in core 0. I have uploaded the graphs from both of these test for analysis. The minimum temperature ranged from about 26 - 29 degrees (Idle) and the maximum was ranged from 64 - 70 degrees.

Been having random BSOD for the past week or so. Started on Sunday (11-27-11),where I had come back to my machine and it had been restarted... after logging in, find out that it was a BSOD. I then proceded to have 3 different BSOD events on Monday, which led me to perform a memtest on Tuesday morning to see if my memory was bad. After 2 full passes (I know, not a full 8), it didn't seem to be that, so I went ahead and did a System Restore from a backup from roughly 2 weeks prior. This led to solid performance for the next week, until this morning (Monday, 12-5-11) when I had another. All BSOD events seemed to occur at random times, so I can't say they were triggered by a specific event to the best of my knowledge.
I had performed the BSOD dump collection and Performance Monitor Report on last monday as well as doing the BSOD dump collection today. Regretfully, I cannot get the Performance Monitor to stop running today, so hopefully just the dump collection will be enough.As for my computer components:- HP Elite 7000 MT machine- Windows 7 Ultimate x64- Not the version originally installed on system- Hardware is a little over a year and a half old- 64-bit OS (originally had x86) wasinstalled 13 months ago.- Only non-stock hardware would be an added harddrive (just a backup drive, no OS on it), and I added 4GB more RAM (alongside the original 4GB) back in January.
