The problem occurred after I updated to the latest version of Itunes a few days ago. Right now, I can't even boot into safe mode, so I don't know how to run the utilities.
Here is what I got from Startup Repair:

I have been having some troubles with this computer since day of purchase. The first BSOD I had was posted and resolved here: BSOD during battlefield 3.Previously, my computer would BSOD during game activity, such as battlefield 3. Elmer identified the probable cause being Avira, and sure enough when I attempted to delete it the computer BSOD; I managed to delete it in safemode and have had no BSOD's during game sessions ever since. However, lately I have encountered random BSOD's during Windows update and System start up (Just before the windows logo screen) of the same error code; I have posted the DMP file and CPUz screenshots.I think it is also worth mentioning that in games I have noticed stuttering no matter what graphical settings I set it to.I am having difficulty tracking down the Hardware responsible for this BSOD; I have run memtest overnight and it passed without fault. Could the 60gb Force 3 SSD be responsible? Or the RAM?

I had a windows update I belive yesterday and ever since then I've been getting blue screens. At first it was while I was playing GTA IV so I thought nothing of it but then it recently started happening after about 5 mins after startup. I'm posting this in safe mode right now and will attach a dmp file

View 9 Replies View RelatedIt seems after today's updates, I'm having BSODs when trying to login to Windows. The worst thing is, the updates failed to install and I get the "Reverting back" message and my PC restarts. The updates are "Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2647753), (KB2729094), (KB2732487), and (KB2732500)." I suggest everyone avoids this right now because after a quick Google search I'm not the only one. I've attached my Seven Forums zip file.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Full Retail.I bought the laptop a year and half ago.The HDD broke down about 2 months ago and I ended up replacing it over the break. After replacing the HDD, I installed Windows 7 a first time and while doing all the Windows updates, I encountered a BSOD after which Windows would not start properly. Fearing defects in the new HDD I installed linux, ran the SMART tool and saw nothing wrong. So I install Windows 7 again a week ago Sunday, and did not do all the updates because I was on slow internet. I just did the Windows update a few hours ago and after restarting this BSOD occurred.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since I updated my bios after being advised to by a Ubisoft employee, my system occasionally crashes to a BSOD. Sometimes it happens twice a day, sometimes not for a week. I'm not sure what's causing it, but I'm rather bumped, because I love my current system. Attached you find my BSOD file (the health report is in Dutch, but hopefully you can manage).
My system specs:Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit; Full retail version installed this a half year ago.The original windows was Vista, 32 bit which in turn was updated to 7, 32 bit. After installing extra ram I switched to 64.
I am having the same problem with the BSOD crashes and it gives me the same ati problem. How to solve this problem.
View 1 Replies View Relatedok over the past month or so I have been trying to solve a problem with my Windows 7 installation (build 7232.0.1md64fre.winmain.0980610-1900)
after a fresh install I had to find the smu drivers for my biostar MB and windows installed it's own video driver 8.15.11.8585 dated april 09. the gfx card is a 9800GTX+ has the bios 62.92.56.0.6.
now since then I haven't been able to install any of nvidias driver updates and windows own driver update for my my gfx card, what happens is I install the driver then my system reeboots and as the driver loads after reeboot I simply get a blue screen error
I have tried various methods of unninstalling the drivers first and also using "drivercleaner.net" and also unninstalling my antivirus but none of these make any difference I still get the blue screen error "System_Service_Exception" stop 0x0000003B etc etc file mentioned is "nvlddmkm.sys"
now I can continue to use the OS by going into safe mode and removing the driver and letting windows install the default driver, but the tweaker in me is determined to get to the route cause of this problem
Is this something specific to this build or do I have a corrupted driver file somewhere or is there something simple I need to do with possibly the registry.
Windows 7 works fine, except some things. But I wanted to reinstall it after I updated my BIOS from 1.1 to 1.8.
After it loads my working install dvd, it gives me BSOD with stop code 124
Its the same problem he has: windows 7 crash on install bsod stop 0×00000124 - Windows 7 Forums
But i'm in another situation.
Maybe I could downgrade my BIOS, but I don't know how. Or maybe ill just have to change a BIOS setting.
Computer is still under warranty (purchased in January) but after a couple months, the customer support hasn't been able to hone in on the problem(s), so I'm just attempting some research myself on the blue screen codes I'm getting. Yesterday the motherboard and both RAM sticks were swapped out and I ran the recovery disks, so the operating system is fresh as well. (Hard drive has also been replaced and one RAM stick was replaced previously too.) Didn't see the blue screen happen, just came back and the computer was off and when I turned it back on it went to the windows recovery screen. When I booted to Windows normally it gave me the error, then finished installing the updates. After the motherboard switchout, it automatically boots from the front USB ports first, despite the fact that I've gone into the BIOS and excluded everything from the boot order other than the hd and cd/dvd. (So it'll boot from my jump drive and say 'missing operating system' and I have to restart.) Not sure if it's relevant information, but figured I'd include it.

I have tried chkdsk c: /f /r and no luck. Tried updating bios. I have tried a system restore but it doesnt work. i cant boot into safemode either.
Earlier I was trying to fix a DCP latency issue and latencymon suggested I update my BIOS. I got the BIOS from Asrock directly. During the update I was given a BSoD and memory dump. The dump froze at 15 and I eventually turned off the computer. Upon rebooting I was unable to get a display.
So far I have reset the cmos, switched between gpu and integrated graphics, removed the gpu and other adaptors, let the computer stay off for 30min; all of which has not worked. When resting the cmos I used both the jumper switch, quick clear, and battery removal.
Dr. Debug shows no errors when starting the computer and it appears to continue cycling boots, despite the lack of error.

I did an update and got a BSOD. Message said "Check disc"' After completion, all my programs and settings are lost. I have done Acronis backups, but they are gone. I tried to do a restore, but only date it gives is today's. Can I use the Windows 7 disc to do a repair or will I have to do a complete re-install? Also, after screen came back, I kept getting a "Windows Validation Failed" even though I clicked Validate online and it said "Validation complete".

View 1 Replies View RelatedAny one know if driver update should take longer. Have tried to update a number of my driversafter a clean install of win 7, example being, monitor, it has a generic pnp monitor driver. When i click update driver it asks if i want to look on net which i do, it then looks for 1 second before saying driver is up to date, surely it should take longer to look or is this normal & surely there is a better driver than a generic one.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy computer has been dead for the last few days so to speak. For two days ago I turned on my computer - it started up just like any other day. I saw the Desktop and bang, blue screen of death. This has not happened since I installed Windows on my new SSD Harddisk (I'm running with two disks, one SSD for Windows and a HDD for everything else), so I simply started my computer again. (My computer worked just fine last weekend, no problems at all. I had a Windows Update and then this happened..).During the set-up it stopped after the Motherboard-image - I had to chose between starting Windows Normal or repair it. Starting Windows normally does not help - it just give me BSOD right before or right after hitting the desktop. (Sometimes even before the Welcome-screen). So choosing to repair Windows during the setup is the only thing I can do.
By doing so, Windows searches for errors. I get the following error codes: 0x0 0x490 ..and some with 6 f's.(Today and yesterday I only got 0x0, which apparently stands for 'unknown').Hitting F8 during setup and loading Windows in safe-mode (/secure mode?) does not help either, I get BSOD here as well.I have tried to change the boot location (different disks and from CD). As a standard, its booting from my harddisk - all though it's booting from the wrong disk (the HDD). When I'm choosing the SSD I can't get any further and I get the message: "Missing Bootmgr..". The only way to boot the computer correctly (and maybe fix the missing boot manager) is by booting from a Windows 7 CD. I get the same two options (Normal / Repair) when booting from the CD though.. When I chose repair it seems to be fixing something - but in the end it says it couldn't find any errors. I have also tried to enter the following commands into the CMD: Bootrec /fixmbr Bootrec /fixboot Bootrec /rebuildbcd.The first two are completed with no errors or messages. The last one is unable to find any Windows installations (this happen when using both C and D).
I am able to use a safety backup copy which I took when I all out of sudden got access to the computer.. (Don't ask my why or how!), that is however not solving the problem, it's only allowing me to load the computer once. When it's loading it's checking the disk first and then loading normally -- I just tried that for a few minutes ago and my screen just turned black.
I have an LG W2242 monitor running from my laptop when Im at my desk. Windows 7 has installed a generic pnp monitor driver, & does not allow me an option to remove it or update it. All options are greyed out. I want to update it with the LG drivers, because with the present driver, the screen does not respond to my power saving settings (the laptop screen does, when Im using it).Does anybody know how I can force Windows to let me update the driver? View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been running win 7 for about 6 mths now dual boot with xp. I have done a fresh install and got rid of xp and running win 7 straight up. My system is a Gigabyte AM2+ with a phenomII black edition 4 core., 4gb ram onboard video.
Now for the question. i got thinking today and realized i hadnt installed any chipset drivers etc. I look in device manager and all the drivers are from microsoft and from 2006 ? So i go to gigabyte and get the win 7 download but all it installs is the graphic driver and usb filter driver nothing else. I try driver max and it says my drivers are up to date. What am i missing here.
I just installed the latest ATI drivers for my video card, now in Windows update, there's an important update there for my ATI video card.
I'm reluctant to install it because I don't want it to override the latest driver from ATI that I just installed. Will the driver from Windows update do that?
Am I correct in assuming that the driver directly from the manufacturer is better than the one coming from Microsoft? Or are they just essentially the same? The driver from Win update is only 9mb +, and I think the driver from ATI is over 20mb.
If I decide not to install it, how do I keep it from reminding me over & over.
I am puzzled why Windows 7 is refusing to install a newer Realtek driver version for my net card. Using the device manager's driver update I currently have version 7.2.1127.2008 installed
the new driver is:
7.009.1105.2009 (inf info) translates into 7.9.1105.2009 (me thinks)
pointing the driver update to this newer driver tells "the installed driver is up to date"?
what am I doing wrong?
I recently downloaded the Batman Arkham Asylum demo, and it runs VERY slow. Anyone knows any update for my video card/driver?
My config:
NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / NVIDIA nForce 630a (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) (MCP61)
I really apreciate the help, thanks a lot!
