Asus K53U Reformat Not Working?

I have an Asus K53U i want to reformat. The thing is i bought this computer last month and had problem with the sound so i returned it and they gave me a same computer i could borrowed until they fixed my computer. Yesterday i reformated the borrowed computer, i pressed F9 when i started the computer and reformated the computer without CD... First something called "ImageX tools" showed up (i guess that is the reformat thing) so i let it proceed, and when it was done all the drivers dissapeared, except for the sound. Internet, Graphic card, Power4gear hybrid (battery thing), ELAN Pointing Device, etc... all gone. I tought when i format my computer, it will be the same as i used it for the first time.Oh and the mouse cursor moves around sometimes by itself after i reformated the computer.Is there another way to format it without the CD?, that is used to be when i first time used it, all the drivers etc. Because i want to keep all the drivers.

My ASUS computer has decided to have the keyboard not respond to any keystroke activity. Funny thing is, however, that on start up, when the password box comes up, I can usually type the password. But once the program goes on into start up, the keyboard will not work. I've checked my virus and malware programs with no visible results.

the trackpad works fine, all the other fn keys work, just the one that disables the trackpad isnt working.

I turned usb legacy off accidentally off in my bios while trying to reboot my pc because it was stuck on the expanding windows part while installing windows 7. Now when I turn on my pc its on the screen that says press ctrl alt delete to restart and I can't even use my keyboard or mouse. So I try to turn usb legacy back on but I can't even get on the bios by pressing f2. What can I do?

Constantly had problems with the sata 3 ports. Sometimes it works and I can see my two hd, other times I have to reboot, go into bios (make no changes), exit and it works again.I just purchased an OCZ 120G Vertex 3 SSDto use as a boot drive and can't get it to work on the sata 3 ports. I've read that the Marvell 9128 controller isn't the best but I would think It should at least recognize the drives.

I having trouble with my REALTEK HD audio driver on my netbook. This happened after i upgraded my system from Windows XP to Windows 7 Home Basic. I recently build a Frankenstein desktop, or at least that's what I'm calling. I started out replacing the motherboard in a HP Pavillion p6130y desktop.
After some research I found that the stock motherboard as pretty outdated so I decided to go aftermarket. I wanted to replace as little as possible but now the only original parts are the dvd drive and network card. The network card has to screws on the back to attach an antenna and is a PCI1x card.
Current Problem: I now have a problem where after installing the card and Windows 7 Professional , I can see the list of available wireless networks including my own.
But, I cannot connect to any of them even though my own network has full signal strength.

I have Asus eee PC since 2010 with Win 7 and never had any problem. I was working on my laptop without any problem. But for last couple of hours I am not able to connect to my wireless network. It doesn't show any network. It only shows the message "Not connected. No connections available". I have internet service through out the house. Wireless is also working on my IPod, IPad and IPhone. I have desktop connected with network wire and internet is working just fine. When I connect my EEE with network cable, everything is working as expected. Only wireless is not working.
I already tried the following:
1. Restarted my eee pc
2. Restarted wireless router (doing this before, would remove any problem but not this time)
3. Tried clicking Fn + F2 buttons
Also, few minutes back my machine was updated with automatic update of Win 7 SP1. Nothing is working.. I don't know what happened. It is so frustrating to see things stop working without any valid reason.

I just did a fresh install of windows on my laptop. Before the install when I used an fn key a fancy graphic came up displaying the action i just did. One of which included disabling the touchpad. I liked these graphics things. How can I get them back. And secondly, all the fn keys work but the disable touchpad one.

My PC works great most of the time. But...I wanted to install ASUS Smart Doctor on my PC and I get the error "GPU not detected" ! I have updated and cleaned and reinstalled my Graphics driver many times. When I check my "device mannager" it tells me my Graphics Card is installed and working properly ! So which is it ?I can ignore all this and go on about my bussiness, but like today, I got a BSOD because I tried to watch a video using the wrong player.It restarts fine and I can watch any movie I have on this PC, which is a lot.

My touchpad (built into the notebook) works fine on the login screen. As soon as I hit the login button it stops totally. Buttons and touchpad. Also my screensaver works before login (on login screen) but once logged in it won't auto start but will start under 'preview'. Windows 7 home premium 64.

In the past 2 days I have been unable to get my onboard audio working. I tried reinstalling windows on another drive and still no success. It shows all of the ports as disconnected except for the Digital Audio out.I tried updating the BIOS to the new .CAP format but with no success. Not sure what test to make to see if the sound chip went bad. Ideas?

I did the Asus live update, soon as i hit ok, one of my usb slots stopped working but the other is working just fine. It makes the noise when you plug in something, but wont work.

i have a system which i got 1 month ago and it was stable and good till recently i started getting BSOD at random times , i tried to update my bios as most were saying but i couldnt because whenever i click on bios update utilite i get black screen! with no respond (i tried the updating from bios not windows Asus dont offer bios update from inside windows ) however . i noticed i get this bluescreen often when playing shogun 2 but in general i still get BSOD when doing other stuff at random times (ex: other games/work on office package) also sometimes when i play other games i either get BSOD or a sudden system lag where everything stops with a noisy sound coming from my speaker.
btw : in my BSOD i get the famous physical memory dump 100% line at the bottom
and i also updated my graphics drivers and rolled back to the old stable one but with no use

Yesterday I had a PC technician around to see why my PC was not booting-up properly and also to change my SSD to a larger SSD. As I am visually challenged I cannot do hardware upgrades etc, so I got a Techie guy in. We used Zinstall HDD by-the-way and I would highly recommend this application for such a job plus, it is extremely fast.Anyway, while he was diagnosing my boot-up issue he discovered I had a malfunctioning network card; while removing this, he noticed all the SATA settings were set to SATA 2.When he reset these to SATA 3, the PC would not start-up! When he set them again to SATA 2 there was no problem and it worked fine?

So my friend wants to reformat his computer because he is planning to return it to Costco. He has a HP netbook with windows start. I'm guessing that his computer comes with a program that lets him make a windows cd. But if there isn't, does anyone know another way to reformat his computer

Just recently, I created a system repair disc with a 4.7 gigabyte DVD-R disc. After the disc was formatted, it's capacity was reduced to 146 megabytes.How do I get the disc's capacity back to normal? I don't want to waste 4.68 gigabytes just for a repair disc.If anyone knows how to get my disc's space back, please tell me. I'll learn from my mistake and use smaller discs first before using gigantic ones.

I have a windows 7 CD I made from the computer. My computer now keeps crashing. I can't start the computer normally or in safe mode. It shows me the blue screen. So if I insert the CD, it says press any key to boot from the CD. then it goes to startup repair where it can't repair anything. It doesn't reinstall Windows 7. and I can't even restore to the factory conditions. this Laptop was Vista basic when bought.

I already have windows 7 x64 edition installed on this computer. I'm trying to do a full reformat and delete everything and start fresh. When the computer starts, I hit F12 and try to boot from the disc. All it does is just go straight to the login screen and I'm back where I was before...with the old operating system.Tried switching the BIOS to boot from disc...nothing is working? It's just an endless loop I'm getting.Restart->F12->Boot from CD-> just continues to login screen.is there something different with windows 7? How to I reformat this thing?

So I am about to sell my laptop which has a legit Windows 7 Home Premium.I was planning to use WipeDrive (If someone knows a better program for this tell me) to wipe the entire HDD clean. Then I was going to install Windows 7 that I downloaded from Digital River and use that to install Windows.If I do this process, it will ask me for a CD key correct? Then if I input the legit key I have right now will it work? Or will Windows say "This key is already in use" or something like that.
