ATI 9250 PCI Card Not Working
Nov 29, 2009
I just bought a 40" samsung so I want to use this PCI card with my other ATI Radeon HD 4800 card.
I think its possible from the discussion here: ATI 9250 PCI video card problem
I just can't figure it out. I can't seem to install any drivers at all as it defaults to the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Drivers. Right not it says "This device cannot start." It has been out of a computer case just laying around for about a year... is it possible its broken? I haven't got anything out of my third monitor. If I needed to replace it can anyone recommend me a new one?

I have a cheap ati 9250 agp card, and cant find any drivers that will make it work under 64 bit windows 7.
Have tried the beta drivers from ATI, have tried the 64 bit xp and vista ones, but still no luck.
Every time it gives an error message saying that this is not an x64 driver.
Any suggestions.

Well either 7 is to advanced for this little PCI video card or ATI is falling behind.
I just installed 7100 build or the RC (if it really is lol) on my older P4 2.8 with this video card installed and I can not for the life of me figure out a way to get the drivers installed for this card.
Right now the default ones keep my display under 1280 by 1024 that the monitor should be at and the 7 drivers off ATI's site don't work. Windows is calling it "Video Controller" and I try to update with no luck.

I have a "SanDisk Ultra CompactFlash" 4GB card and an internal card reader (HP desktop). When I insert the card into the reader, the green light above the slot turns on as if it recognizes the device, but it doesn't show up. Device Manager says that the driver is installed and working properly, and I have uninstalled it,reinstalled it, and restarted my computer. A system restore isn't really an option because it isn't my computer.

i have just installed windows 7 on an older system with a radeon 9250 128mb agp video card.
i tried installing the latest catalyst driver package just to see if they would work but they didn't detect the card, and i couldn't manually update the drivers via device manager since the card would not see any compatible drivers.

I have Dell Latitude E6410 with PC Card Bus, StLab USB 3.0 PCIe card connected with StLab PC CardBus/PCIe adapter. OS is Windows 7. USB 3.0 card do not want to work (system do not find it - no USB 3.0 controller). Other PC Ie cards (modem ...) work with this adapter and USB 3.0 card works in other notebooks with PC Ie bus (without adapter). Is it possible that the card and adapter (from the same producer) are not compatible?

I have read numerous posts on how to get the ATI Radeon 9250 card to work with Windows 7 but I cannot get any solution to work with win 7.64I do realize that this card is not compatible or recommended for win 7. I just need to get it working short term until I can buy a replacement, this is the only PCI card I had to get this new system working.

I've just built a new machine running Windows 7 pro SP1 64bit, the mother board is an ASrock N68-S with an Athlon 64X2 dual core 5200+ 2.71 Ghz with 2 gig.I seem to be having problems with the TP-Link TL-WN350GD, I've installed the software but the the troubleshooter is showing "the local area connection" is not working properley and there may be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter, both items show detected, but the icon on the bottom of the screen has a red cross through it.

I am running Windows 7 32 bit and I'm having trouble with two out of three of my cardreaders after a new build (ASUS P8P67 Deluxe). The cardreader in my Canon MP960 has worked fine for several years using the same version of Windows in my previous build. Now, the drive shows up with a letter assigned, but the card is not detected when inserted. The same thing happens with my Sony MRW620 internal cardreader. The USB port on the internal reader works so I know it is connected to the MB .One more piece of data: If I plug my six year old SanDisk card reader in to a USB port, it reads my cards just fine.

I cannot get the sound to work right in Windows 7 RC build 7100 64 bit with an x-fi Extreme Music sound card. I've tried the beta drivers, I've tried the 2.0 pack from Daniel K...everything. It seems that some have been able to get this card to work, so I don't know what is wrong. The sound is nothing but buzzes, pops, and crackling. Video playback stutters as well and is unwatchable when the drivers are installed, I don't know what causes that.
I've heard of problems with the extreme music card and 64 bit systems, should I just give up on this ever working and get a new sound card? Can anyone recommend one that they know works with Windows 7 RC 64 bit or have an idea what will get my existing card to work? I have a Dell XPS 710 with 4GB RAM.

I have seen this in a couple of forums, but could not find an adequate solution. I am having an issue connecting to wireless networks via the Atheros AR5007EG. I have tried going to atheros.cz among other sites looking for a working driver, but Windows 7 always says the driver is up to date. Strangely, I tooled around a few weeks ago and it was working, but it stopped. I went back and made sure I didn't install anything that day and nothing was installed.

Yesterday my 500w powersupply started smoking up so I went out and bought a Thermaltake Lightpower 700w powersupply. After I finished rewiring my computer I noticed my graphics card wasn't working on my computer so I changed my input from HDMI to VGA to use the integrated graphics card.I'm not sure what caused the original 500w powersupply to smoke up and why my graphics card doesn't work anymore. I'm unsure whether the graphics card isn't working because i've made a mistake in wiring the connection from my PSU to motherboard or if the PSU killed it.Yesterday I also received a USB Wireless Receiver for Xbox which I plugged in the top USB slots I never use, could this be a reason for the PSU faulting? Sometimes when I plug in a USB device the metal surrounding the slots spark up a little which is why I mentioned the USB wireless receiver.Below are the specifications of my system:

My system installed he Windows 7 SP1 a week or so ago - immediately had a problem: my ATI 9600 graphics card stopped working with the upgraded driver giving the error message: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (code 39). The legacy drivers from AMD/AT also did not work - so I am currently stuck with MS standard VGA driver and oval shaped circles at a resolution well below thy native resolution of my monitor. Feedback from MS is that the card is not supported (legacy), however, their Windows 7 hardware compatibility webpage shows the card to be compatible.

It looks like this is a fairly common issue, but I can't seem to figure out what the solution is, or if there is a solution.
Yesterday (10/25/09), I installed Win 7 Home Premium on my wife's Gateway MX8739 Notebook (Pentium Dual-Core, 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM). It has a built-in SD card reader, which always worked fine under Vista. Vista came pre-installed on the machine when we got it 18 months ago or so. Under the new Win 7 installation, the SD slot doesn't seem to be recognized. There's nothing wrong with the card itself--it works fine in her camera.
I tried the O2 Flash Memory Card Driver 3 that was mentioned in another thread with no affect. Has anyone had this problem and successfully fixed it?

My Nvidia 560 stopped working so while I was waiting for the replacement I was using my onboard Intel HD graphics. After I installed the new card, my monitor would not display anything unless it was connected to the onboard graphics. No big deal I thought. I booted into safe mode, removed all display drivers ( Nvidia and intel) and ran driver sweeper to remove the remnants. The computer booted with the monitor plugged into the 560 just fine in the crappy resolution. I installed the latest Nvidia drivers downloaded from the website.

I have an ASUS P7P55D motherboard that does not show my onboard LAN in device manager. I suspect its dead. I then proceeded to install a PCI type network adapter card in one of the available slots and it was recognized by the OS with drivers installed. I connect the cable which I tested to be working fine on my laptop and it shows the led's working on the card but I still have no network capability. Is it possible to have both the onboard LAN and external NIC not work because of a chip issue, etc.? This is the first I have ever seen both not work. If I need a new board...fine...but I just don't want to waste my money if it can be fixed. BTW, I did check my BIOS and everything is enabled properly.

I'm having problems with my wireless networkcard. Sometimes i can connect to the Internet with it but at other times, I am simply unable to connect. Windows detects that there is a problem between my computer, the router, and the Internet. There are five other devices in my house that are able to connect flawlessly. I am currently only able to connect using a wi-fi adapter but this soultuion is awkward as i have only two available USB ports.

I've looked around some, but most other people's problems seemed to be that they could at least see a grayed out version of the card or locate it in the Device Manager, but absolutely nothing shows up for me. It worked fine a couple of days ago (when I was still on Vista), but after upgrading to 7, it no longer detects the SD card at all. Other topics had lots of random driver downloads, but the ones I tried did not seem to work.
