Permission To Continue Box Pops Up
Jan 8, 2010
I have a legit copy of CS4 Premiere Pro because several people have asked me that and not given me answers. Problem is that I click on the setup.exe icon and the "A Program Needs Your Permission to Continue" box pops up, I say 'continue' and the box goes away. From that point on, nothing happens AT ALL. Just that box, and that is it!

Everytime I open them I get a little box that says "User account control" "A program needs your permission to continue". This is a real PIA. How do I eliminate this without turning UAC off?

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox Internet Browser a short while ago and it was working fine. But then my Vista automatically updated and I think that was where the problem started. I think in the update it heightened the security on my computer, not necessarily a bad thing but annoying because every time I launch Firefox it has to ask my permission to continue.
I think this is because it is trying to access the internet and is not microsoft software. I have looked it up in windows help and have a slight suspicion that it might be to do with something called "user account control". It helps stop unauthorized changes to your computer. Is there any way to convince it that Firefox isn't harmful and make an exception for it?

I must always allow program permission as a UAC advise comes up asking me for permission to open this program. how I can set permission to be a permanent permission. Am operating in a "user" (me being the owner) that has administrator
permissions. How can I install this software as administrator to allow full operation by all users without requiring administrator permission?

ive just installed a new heatsink and CPU fan to replace the standard one on an Intel Q9400. The CPU fan works fine I can see it spin and adjust the fan speed from a panel that comes with it but for some reason when I boot up my computer it tells me CPU fan error and press F1 to continue.I assume because the fan is still working this is not a problem but should I be worried.

here its how it all started. i wanted to uninstall a program, but it didnt let me because it said that i didnt have the administrator rights.so i googled how can i have the rights and i got a page telling me to use 'control userspasswords2' and make myself the main one. so the computer restarted and then i tried to delete the program and now it says 'Windows needs your permision to continue ' and asks me for an administrator password that i dontt have. i am the main user of this computer and i guess i was the standard user. now when i try to run certain programs, the permission is denied. how can i get the permission from windows back. enable the permission. keep in mind that i am not allowed to click on the " continue" when that window appears.! i cant even download programs!

I have a Microsoft optical mouse. It's a couple of years old and I'm trying to determine whether it's faulty or not. The problem seems to be with the scroll wheel. When on a webpage and using the wheel to scroll, often the page will continue to scroll (only another 50 or so pixels) after I've released the mouse. It seems to be at least a full second or two after I've finished scrolling, let go of the mouse then the page continues to scroll (only by one increment/decrement). It doesn't seem to be the wheel clicking into place either, as I first thought. I'm trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this and/or whether it could be a registry setting or something else causing this. Otherwise, it's a hardware issue.

My windows vista crashed for no apparent reason and it will continuously direct me to a black screen with an option to continue normally or launch startup repair. Normal startup doesn't work, and the repair gives me the message "cannot repair this computer automatically". I send the info to microsoft and it gave me no options to fix it And although I have attempted the repair several times already, for some reason it says number if repair attempted:1
Root cause found: Startup Repair has tried several times but can still not determine the cause of the problem."
Root cause found: Unknown bugcheck: Bugcheck 7f. Parameters = 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x0.
Repair action: system restore Result completed successfully
Note this is the results from 2 separate occations I have tried System restore to an older date but it did not work. I have tried safe mode, did a dskchk with /f but didn't do anything.

Having disabled indexing, I would now like to disable the message bar that pops in every time I use advanced search. The one that says, "Your searches might be slow because the index is not running. Click to turn on the index..." Is it possible? No big deal, but it would be nice to get rid of it.

I had my nice sleek black color scheme for aero..I turn it on and now it's the blueish gray..I have a black task bar, where all my programs are displayed, but every program that pops up has a bluish grey trim... I don't get it. And when I go to personalize > windows color and appearance. I don't have the normal palette for colors, I have the theme chooser like they did for XP.

Ever since I switched to Windows Vista Enterprise Edition 32 Bit I have been having some problems with my dual-monitor set up. My computer is a Fujitsu Tablet PC and is about 2 years old, and my external monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster941BW. For some reason once I go and use the intel display options and set up the extended desktop everything appears to be fine. However when the Windows Vista security screen pops up asking for you permission for a specified action it gets rid of my extended desktop and just kicks everything back to only my laptops display. This also happens when restarting the computer and doing "Ctrl + alt + delete" to open the task manager. It is extremely frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I am not sure if it is just a problem with vista or if I need a new driver since updating from xp, even though my computer says it is the latest driver for the monitor.

I have a question. The information tag that pops up when you mouse over an item in windows quickly disappears when you first directly mouse over the file or folder and will reappear for as long as you want it to if you point near the bottom of the selected item. Is this a normal thing or a bug in Vista? Has anyone else ever noticed this? Sorry for the explanation, I don't know of any other way to put it. Is there a Tutorial for this?

when I try and move files between folders, or delete files from trashcan or even within file folders. The delete icons pops up but takes forever to complete and never goes away, yet the files transfer or delete within a few seconds just like they should. The only way I could get rid of them without a restart was to start task manager and remoeve them that way, and even that took a while. Attached is a screenshot of about 10 icons that were not closing. It seemed as if they would stay their forever if you would let them.
