Problem is i have all drivers working perfectly but it seems any program(Yahoo messenger / Windows Live Messneger etc) on my system does not dectect any webcams i install on it , tryed a Logitech QuickCam Fusion it installs without no errors but no program detects any of the webcams ... bouth webcams work perfect under win XP thow.

i recently just got vista and i've tried everything to get my speakers to work, i have updated drivers, made sure everythings enabled and asked different web sites.
the speakers are plugged into the back green hole, they work with my ipod and are being detected in control panel and device list.
the only thing i can think of is that the rear panel is not enabled some how, does anyone know how to enable it manually?
When I put a disk into my CD/DVD drive and then go into Computer and click my E: drive, all I get is the 'Please insert disc into E: ...' message. Up until a few days ago the exact same discs were working with my system, and they're working because I've run them on my PS3 to check.

I have my destop system which is having preinsalled windows vista business version and here it is detecting automatically without installing the imate CD. Is that vista home version is not supporting imate connectivity? I installed the Imate installation CD also but still did not detect in vista home version.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using a windows Vista 32 bit home premium notebook computer for which the wireless network detection has stopped working. I updated the driver for the built in wireless card with out any results. I also tried a plug in wireless card which windows detected and said was working properly and this did not work either. This leaves me to believe that something is wrong with the OS.
I can get on the internet via dialup modem and also by the ethernet connection with a DSL modem. I have been to several hotspots that I know have wifi and no networks show up. When I click on the "Connect to" in the start menu, nothing happens. When I click on "connect to a network" in control panel, I get an error loading wizards message saying module not found. The card is an Inrel pro wireless 3945ABG and IS turned on. All critical windows updates have been installed.
I recently started supporting a remote site of 4 vista, 1 xp 2 mac users. They have a networked HPCP1515n printer. Original vista users are fine they can print to it but two new users to this printer cannot get vista to detect the printer. When I run the network install drivers they get the following: error 1327.Invalid Drive z:. I have tried the usb install but that fails similiarly too. Vista does not detect the printer but older users who were connected are fine. I have tried installing from local c: all fail. i have tried older versions of the driver all fail. View 7 Replies View RelatedHow to detect whether readyboost is active or not? I have a 2GB USB Sandisk with U3, it was once used for readyboost, but no more (at least, I don't want it to be). Apparently, because it has U3 on it, when the autoplay comes up one doesn't even see readyboost as an option under 'General Options'. However, if one does a 'properties' and navigates to the 'Readyboost' tab, it is always set as if it were being used - even though it doesn't appear like it actually is.
I have another USB flashdrive that I may occasionally use as a readyboost when working with large spreadsheets, databases or projects. BTW so far, I'm not seeing a big performance boost from readyboost. My understanding of may be flawed; but, I think all it does is cache to the USB stick, which is faster than the hard drive.

now my computer won't detect my USB flash drives. I know the USB ports
are working because my mouse is USB and it works fine. I've tried
uninstalling the USB drivers and letting them reinstall but that didn't

trying to set up my tv signal in vista 32 bit media center. windows recognizes the tuner card, but doesn't detect a signal. it's a sapphire theatrix tuner (hybrid analog/digital with ati 650 pro chip). i also have a 2600xt video card installed. have installed 8.11 drivers for both devices. checked signal by pluging cable into tv, and works fine. service provider is comcast limited basic in philadelphia. no cable box.

I connected the Canon Vixia HF10 camcorder with USB to PC, turn on the camcorder in Play back mode, but Windows Vista remained silent - no detection of my camcorder. Sometime my Windows Vista just hung and FROZEN...I remove USB cable from Camcorder, Windows Vista is back to work normal. the Canon website and there it is -> the camcorder *IS* compatible with vista and doesn't need any driver. I called Canon technical Tech and he told me Yes, Canon Vixia HF10 is comptaible with Vista. I have also installed Windows XP SP3 on my laptop and tried on Windows XP, no problem there - the camcorder was detected immediately.

I don't know if this is related to using vista x64, but when I use Flip 3D, Live Messenger conversation windows don't appear in Flip, instead they appear in the background. I don't know if this is caused by using Vista x64, maybe it's a problem with Messenger.
This is my question: I'd like to try Vista Ultimate x86, and, as I have a machine with 2GB of RAM, could I experience any kind of troubles (in performance) using Vista x86 in my laptop? I'd like to know what kind of stuff I could lose because of moving from Vista x64 to Vista x86... maybe DEP? What else could I lose?
By the way, I use these programs frequently: VMware Workstation 6.5, Visual Studio 2008, MS Office 2007, SQL Server 2005... and other common programs (like WinZip, Adobe Reader, Live Messenger 9, etc). I don't use other programs (like Photoshop, intensive games or the like), and I have usually open, for example, VMware, WMP11 with Visual Studio at the same time.
I have bought a Logitech webcam from a relative. there was no cd or manual with it. I thought by just pluging in the webcam via usb port, it would work. When i logged onto msn and tried it out, there was nothing going through although it said it was connected.

I have a Sony Vaio Model (VGN-CR507E) and I have recently put on the Windows 7 Evaluation Copy, Build 7100. Everything seems to be in good order except for the Webcam. When I try to run msn, skype or any other webcam related programs it says that the webcam is in use by another program. When I go to my Device Manager It says that the USB Video Device is installed and fully updated.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI apologize in advance for my fevered nature I'm just a little bit frustrated over this. My boyfriend bought me a Microsoft LifeCam vx-5000 today. After the initial frustration of getting my webcam to actually broadcast video via the internet I became increasingly angry over the fact that everything, even the music player I was using on a different tab froze or lagged severely after only a few seconds of my broadcasting. People would freeze or there would be a lapse in messages and then the video would start up again and/or the messages would come in droves.
My Internet works fine and is quite fast when my webcam is not on. My computer, while about 4 years old works relatively quickly and I am able to use that quickly when the webcam is on. Also, this problem only happens when the webcam is being used with the internet and nothing freezes or slows when the webcam and the internet are not connected (just using the webcam program and not utilizing say chatroulette or tinychat.) Everyone I chat with says that they can see me clearly and I do not lag or freeze at all. Also, on my computer my webcam does not freeze or lag at all. I am incredibly frustrated because internet searches have proven to be useless because everyone complains about their webcam freezing when my problem is the complete opposite.
Well I just got my laptop brand new like three months ago. My Webcam worked for a little while then all a sudden it stopped working. When this first started happening I would shut down my laptop then it would work again, but still the problem persisted. Now my webcam does not work at all. I have a HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx entertainment laptop with windows vista home premium 64bit. I have McAfee antivirusus on my laptop and I've heard it doesn't allow you do view video or do video call on MSN. Well even when I try to open webcam thru HP MediaSmart Webcam it doesn't work. It doesn't work with QuickPlay either. I get the error messsage (No device detected. Please plug a device into your computer. If you are using an integrated camera please make sure its turned on.) No clue why this message is showing up. I have a built-in webcam on this laptop. I checked webcam under device manager which it is not there.No imaging devices are found at all. Under USB there is an unknown device that shows up everytime. I Delete it then check hardware changes and it shows up again. But it says there is no drivers installed for this device. So I'm not sure if this unknown device is the webcam. I've tried uninstalling webcam program/driver and installing it again and it doesn't work. My computer is up to date with all updates windows provide. My BIOs systems is also up to date.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a new ZT computer with Vista home premium 64bit o.s. I also bought a new webcam, the logitch pro-9000. Driver's installation went fine, but at the end I've got a message telling me that 'the required line was not found in the INF'. (see attached file for the whole message). I had the exact same issue with my old 'Epson' scanner which worked fine on my old computer with the XP pro. os. On the other hand, both my 'Canon' printers are working fine. All these devices are connected through USB2.
1. Is there an issue with the imaging devices?
2. Is there a known and easy cure? (I'm not a computer savvy).
3. Is it safe and/or will it help to download one of those 'drivers updater and fixer'?
I have a Compaq Presario F600 running Vista Home.Everthing else works fine except my webcam. I can see my cam on my screen, but not the the othe persons. I run the latest trend micro protection which I have tried turning off, but all I get is loading and then network connection error. I have read numerous other threads, although none have seemed to come to a final conclusion on this matter.

When I hooked in and installed my logitech webcam my microphone no longer works on my headset I dunno if i disabled somethign or what I tried doing a system restore but to no avail.
View 8 Replies View Relatedi have bought a gateway M-1628 with a built in webcam and when i open camera assistant software program. it shows nothing the light for the webcam comes on like its on. but it shows no image at all. with the program i can record sound but no video. i uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it and still nothing. just wondering if there have been other problems. i have a Toshiba a while ago with the same program for the webcam just a little different and that one worked at first but just didn't work with messengers and later updated to work. but i can't find new updates of anything for the one i have now.

I just did an upgrade to Vista Home Prem 32-bit and somewhere along the way, my 'HP Webcam' software disappeared. This is the actual software which allows me to make a webcam video or a video for emailing. An (apparently) empty folder icon replaced the real webcam icon I had on my desktop. There is a real webcam icon on the task bar but it just displays a little menu (on/off/50 Hz/60 Hz/exit) and nothing happens there.

View 7 Replies View RelatedGot my motion eye working under Win7 64x. Link below for the drivers. I have the Vaio SZ650n/c, and all but a few keyboard hotkeys are working. The volume hotkeys work by default with win7. (maybe in hardware) Brightness is available by right-clicking the battery indicator (by clock) or by running "windows mobility center". For my SZ650, I had to install the SFEP and SPIC drivers to clear device manager. I could not find hot key drivers in 64x.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI shall start from the beginning of why i need someones key for a registry entry, i have a creative webcam that will not work with vista, so after using it with XP, i got sick of having it on my hard drive, so i bought a cheap camera so i can use webcam on vista, unfortunately, when i came to install it, the camera installed but kept getting a code 10 driver could not load. So after a few trolling sessions to find a resolution, i found i had to edit a key in the registry, in this case : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} and delete the upper and lower values to allow driver load. after a restart, everything looked good, my camera is now loading up and drivers are working, but everytime i try and use it, i get this
