I use Hotmail as my email provider. I have Windows Vista Home Prem. 64 bit.Everytime I reply or create a new outgoing msg. the msg. is automatically moved to the Drafts Folder after only 2-3min. Since I am a very slow typist and take time to research info it is not good for me. Can someone tell me how to lengthen the time to about 10 min. before it transfers the msg.?
View 8 RepliesWindows Mail: I'm seeing incoming mail going into the Drafts folder, and outgoing mail saved to the Drafts folder. Not all mail, but a lot of it. The same is happening in Windows 7 with Live Mail using a POP3 ISP account, not Hotmail. On the computers on which I've seen it, it's a relatively recent problem that didn't exist before. Possibly related to some Windows Update? I have some very irritated people badgering me about this and just can't find an answer.

This must have happened quite some time ago... I think it should be located here: C:Users(my name)Links - correct? If I right click and go into properties, the location tab allows me to move this folder. I get two messages - one asking me if I really want to move the folder and its contents (it's just some shortcuts), and the second if I want to direct the Links folder into another system folder "Profile" located at C:Users(my name). It also says if I proceed with the redirection I will not be able to separate them or restore the default location... I don't quite get what that means...

I think I have deleted these files a while ago but when i search for them they show up
as 0 bytes.
I tried - creating a new folder with the same name and putting those files in and then deleting them, but doesn't work. I tried Hijack this and delete on reboot, can't open as file does not exist for deletion.
My computer crashed & I had to repair the system. The User that I entered is "xxxxxx". When I restored my backup files to their original location my mail box, which I had relocated from its default location to "Documents", reinstalled to the user name of my original installation "xxx". I then started Windows Mail and selected the mail box to that location. However when I try to restart Windows Mail I get the following "Windows Mail could not be started. The application was unable to openthe Windows Mail message store. Your Windows Mailmailbox data is currently being used by another program...............(0x800C0155)"When I click OK I get a window showing "Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized. Is there a solution other than repairing Vista again?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a folder (on my desktop) and when I open that folder, I want to view the files inside that folder as small icons. So I open the folder, select View – small icons, then deselect “auto arrange”. Then I put the icons in just the order that I want them and everything is fine. I close the folder and re-open the folder, and the files are still displayed by icons and positioned just the way I want them. Great so far. But then the next day, when I open the folder, the folder is back to displaying the icons by “Details” and the files are back in the original order. Very annoying to say the least.
The files are MP3 for some daily listening, and after I listen to one, I want to move it down to the bottom. Then the next day I listen to the MP3 on top and then move that one down to the bottom. Worked fine with XP, but now with Vista, everyday the folder gets changed back to view by Details, and the files are back in original order. How can I keep Vista from automatically changing folder views back to Details and leave it on “Small icons (no auto arrange)”. I tried searching for the answer on the forum, but got an error that I don’t have permission to use the search function.
In OE6 my Deleted Items folder would empty automatically when I closed the programme. I cannot find that option anywhere in Windows Mail Tools - is there one?
View 7 Replies View Relatedmy emails would get marked as read or automatically move to the deleted folder when deleted. Instead, they remain BOLD black until I exit the inbox THEN return. At that point, the messages are either marked as read or have been deleted. It is weird nothing was changed by me! The box "Mark as read" is set to 0 seconds and that never changed. It's annoying to have to click on EVERY message in order to get it read and then delete what I want, move to the next message, delete it, etc.......exit the folder, then return to it for the messages to be corrected.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently logged on to my computer to find that all of the shortcut Icons that overlap the program icons have changed, and also that all my folder icons have also changed as well as in the start menu. See attachments for images. To try and fix the Shortcut Icons i have installed FxVisor32 for 32-bit Vista. I tried to change all the icons back but recieved the following error message. which stopped me from changing it. Is there a way to change the way you make corrections in composing an email message? Whenever I try to insert another sentence in front of one I've already typed, it does the "overtype" thing instead of simply inserting the text. I know how to do it with Outlook and Windows 98, but can't figure it out with Windows mail and Vista!!!
